• Title:9/10

The title is very appropriate and very catchy. It sticks like an ear-worm, except for words. Not easy to forget.

• Cover:3/5

The cover goes well with the theme. It could be elevated a little, but the colour scheme and representation is great. No irrelevance to the story.

• Blurb:9/10

The blurb is a little long and takes a few seconds to read through and understand, but it gives a clear understanding of what the story is about. Being written interestingly, it does make readers want to continue with the story itself.

• Setting:10/10

All settings are very well described, and the imagery used is brilliant. I could see things playing out in my head, like a movie.

• Character and emotions : 7/10

Both main characters and all the side characters are unique and imaginable. Their personalities are different and not cliché, and shines through their dialogue and actions

• Plot and detail: 15/20

There is nothing cliché about the plot at all. Everything flows smoothly and never leaves the plotline once. Humour is maintained as well.

• Flow and style:14/20

The pace at which the story proceeds is neither alarmingly fast nor slow enough to be boring. In other words it is immaculate. It took me a while to understand and infer the scenes in the virtual games, but once I got the hang of it i faced no other problem.

• Grammar and Spelling:7 /10

The only problem with grammar for me was punctuation marks. Because of that, some sentences were too long and a little difficult to understand and comprehend. Tenses have been maintained properly.

• Personal Enjoyment:4/5

Not being my general genre of reading or writing, this was an interesting and new read for me.

Additional Feedback- The plotline is great and interesting, and does pique interest. However, the punctuation could use some work, so as to make the sentences more compact and hence more tangible to the reader. Otherwise is thoroughly enjoyable.

Tenth Grade was Fun! by Goomer404

• Title:8/10

The title does seem to give a clear idea as to the plot and setting of the story, and fits the plot well. Although it is not out of the box, it's short and catchy and sticks in your head so that you don't forget it for a long time.

• Cover:4/5

The cover is almost perfect. Cover art is great, imaging is relevant, and it has a fun colour scheme which means it does catch your eye. Font is great and legible.

• Blurb:7/10

Although appropriate and crisp, it could use a little more spice to raise the interests of the reader further. Even though it does make you want to read the story, it's just missing an x factor.

• Setting:8/10

Setting of the events is perfect and relevant. Descriptions of place and time could use a little more work, so that the images form in the reader's head free-flow while reading, making them actually feel like they are present in that scene.

• Character and emotions :8 /10

Most of the characters are well rendered. They can be imagined, although physical description of appearance is not used much in tbe story. Their emotions and inner thoughts are well expressed. One important point here is "show don't tell". This helps readers work their imagination and together with your writing it can create an entirely new experience.

• Plot and detail: 16/20

The plot is good as it is relatable. The storyline flows quite naturally, although at a slightly faster pace. There don't seem to be any major plot holes.

• Flow and style:15/20

The vocabulary is not too sophisticated or too drab, and it is thus perfectly easy to follow.

• Grammar and Spelling: 8/10

While spelling mistakes are not absent, few can be excused by understanding the fact that they must have occured while typing. Grammar and tenses have been maintained steady. Some punctuation marks here and there are haywire, but nothing to make you stop reading.

• Personal Enjoyment:5/5

Not having read a similar plot before, it was an interesting and new read for me.

Additional Feedback- The characters are great and have a really nice vibe to them, and are each mostly unique. With a little work on the setting and descriptions, it has the potential of maybe becoming a romcom show. The inner thoughts of the main character are relatable and have the ability to make the reader laugh.

 Fire on Ice by Ashaisaa

• Title:10/10

The title is a 10/10. I think not only it fits the story, it feels poetic and it feels like it hides a deeper meaning and it does a great job catching the reader's interest.

• Cover:3/5

I think the cover fits the story perfectly; the color shceme feels a bit dark but I feel like it might be on purpose. My only suggestion would be to change the font (maybe try to make it pop a bit more, make it more eye-catching).

• Blurb:10/10

The blurb not only introduces us to the main characters, but it also gives us a sneak peek into the world they live in (figure skating) in a way that makes the reader want to dive into the book right away.

• Setting:8/10

I think the author could use a bit more of detailed description of the setting; they do a wonderful job with emotions, but they need to work a bit more on submerging the reader into the place where the characters are.

• Character and emotions : 10/10

The author does a beautiful job at describing the characters and their personalities/emotions. It makes the reader connect with them and to care about the things they care about.

• Plot and detail: 18/20

The story has a few cliché situations, like being forced to work with the one person you can't stand, but other than that I don't think the overall story feels too cliché. It does flow naturally, and even though most readers aren't figure skaters, we can connect with the characters at some level.

• Flow and style:17/20

I did notice that the flow of the chapters is often interrupted; there are too many changes in time, setting, etc. that feel very short and it breaks the flow of the reader.

• Grammar and Spelling: 9/10

I didn't find too many grammatical errors or spelling mistakes worth noting; a round of edits and it should be fine.

• Personal Enjoyment:5/5

I did! I was hooked since chapter one because of the passion of these characters for what they do!

Additional Feedback-

My review: The author does a great job at introducing us into the world of figure skating; they make it very easy for the reader to understand what's at stake for these athletes, the ups and downs of competing at such a high level. The characters are very well written as well; their backstories are dropped in a way that feels natural and like a dump of info, which is a mistake most of us do when writing.

My only two suggestions would be to change the font of the cover (try different ones and pick the one that feels more eye-catching). I also noticed that the flow of the chapters is interrupted constantly; there are too many breaks (change in setting, time, etc.). I would try to write it in a way that feels like it flows more naturally because, as a reader, it feels a bit distracting and tedious at times.

Other than that, I loved this story! And I'm still in awe of this author's ability to immerse us into the world of figure skating.
