Chapter 13

"Alexis!" Dante shouted out through his laughter as we ran through the streets. Almost two weeks had already gone by and the two of us had barely done any training. We'd visited the other candidates from time to time, but other than that, we just hung around on Shikamaru's favourite hill and watched the sky turn from day to night, admiring the stars.

Since Sasuke wasn't around anywhere and I forgot where Kakashi trains him, I've been living in the woods with Dante, just the two of us. I couldn't be bothered to make another cabin to be honest and living outside was good enough for me.

Deciding to stop and take a breather, I leant against the large red bridge, my gaze shifting from fish to fish that were swimming in the river below. "What do we do now?" I asked with a sigh. Dante 'Hmm'd' and sat down at my feet, also gazing out into the river.

"I'm seriously bored and I don't feel like training!" I wined as I slid down to sit besides my best friend. "..." I sighed but suddenly got an idea. Turning to face Dante, a smirk played at my lips "Lets go back" "Huh?" He asked, clearly confused. "I said 'lets go back' as in, back to earth" In the blink of an eye, he shot up and bared his teeth angrilly.

"We are NOT going back there" I rose an eyebrow. Never had he been this angry with me "Why not?" I moaned in annoyance "We can say 'hi' to Allesandro while we're at it" "I said NO! You do know that if we go back there, we die right? Besides, It's impossible to go through dimentions" That's were the smirk come in.

"Actually.. it is possible.. for me anyway" "Are you serious?" I nodded "Does that mean your the one who brought us here?" At that I shook my head. "To be honest.. even I have no clue as to how we came here in the first place. It could have been an accident or destiney" I stood up and stretched, stifling a yawn. "I'll agree with you.. for now. But, as soon as the Chunin exams are over, we're gone. We have to settle things. Got it?" He growled, but gave me a curt nod, however reluctant it was.

With a smile, I began walking away. "Where are you going?" "..To the Hokage" He cuckled sofly and followed suit.

*Knock, Knock*

We had arrived at the Hokage's office and I had just knocked on the door. A gruff "Come in" could be heared from behind the door and I followed it's orderes.

"Hey Lord Hokage" I stated with a bow. His gaze shifted from Anko, Ibiki and other ANBU towards myself. I rose an eyebrow "Why the serious looks?" I joked with a smirk. Ibiki glared at me, to which I returned with my own, much harsher glare.

The Hokage cleared his throat "What did you come here for Alexis?" I nodded, finally realising I came here for a reason. "I need to talk with you" He gestured with his hand for me to do so. I rolled my eyes at him not getting what I meant "Alone" The ninja in the room rose their eyebrows at me suspiciously.

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose in annoyance "Don't worry. I'm not gonna do anything suspicious. It's important and I'm sure the Hokage would love to hear it" Anko was about to say something, when The hokage himself interrupted her. "It's fine" He stood up and walked over to me, opened the door and walked out, however not before turning to look at me from over his shoulder, saying - "Are you coming?" I nodded and skipped after him, Dante right behind.

We walked in silence, until we came across a field with many gorgeous flowers, all different colours. I gaze at them in astonishment, although it didn't show on the outside. "So.." The Hokage began, bringing me out from my thoughts.

"Right.. well, we might as well sit down, cause this is going to be a long story" He smiled kindly and plopped himself down gingerly onto the clean cut, lush green coloured grass. Patting the spot besides him, he stated "Sit" I rolled my eyes, however did so nonetheless. Dante though, sat a way away from me, not wanting to hear anything.

"What is this story you want to tell me?" I nodded and began fiddling with my fingers "Yeh. first I want to warn you about the upcoming Chunin exams. I can't tell you what's going to happen exactly, but I just wanted you to watch yourself" I lifted my gaze towards his and we stared at each other for a moment, before the old fool suddenly chuckled.

"Why are you laughing?" "Oh, It's just different.. you talking like this" I rolled my eyes "Take my warnings to heart Lord Hokage. Anyway.. the other thing I wanted talk to you about is......."

When I'd finished telling the Hokage everything.. well, not everything, but most of it, he stared at me agape and with eyes so wide that they would probably drop out from their sockets any second now.

I waved a hand in front of his face and he snapped out of it. "Your not joking?" I shook my head "I'm serious. Orochimaru already knows, as well as Kabuto, so I'm afraid that they'll be coming for me as well as Sasuke. But I'm strong, so there's nothing to worry about with me, just Sasuke, but I'll protect him" I accidentally smiled, although it was gone as soon as it came.

The hokage took my hand in his. "I know you haven't told me everything, but I'm glad that you trust me enough to tell me what you've just did" I nodded and took gripped his hand tightly "Thank you for listening Lord Hokage. Dante and I will never forget you, we're proud to have been under your leadership" Dante then came over and licked the Hokage's face.

"Thank you Lord Hokage" He spoke. I chuckled at the Hokage's responce.. his face was priceless. He turned to me, still slightly wide eyed "I thought you were the only one who could talk to him?" I nodded "That's right. But that's only because Dante hates talking to others, So he makes it so that I'm the only one who can understand him. You should be happy. This is the first time he's spoken to anyone other than myself" Dante nudged me in the side "It's because your the only one I trust and love enough to talk to" I chuckled and tickled behind his ear. "I love you to Dante. Always have and always will. Just like we promised that day"

All of a sudden, I was brought into a hug. My eyes almost bulged out from their sockets and I stiffened. "You should open up more and smile to others, not just Dante. You looks so happy when you smile" He whispered to me. I frowned "I can't. It'll be me and Dante only, for as long as we live. That's what we promised and I never brake a promise" He shook his head as he pulled back and the look in his eyes were pity and sorrow.

Standing up, I stretched my arms, feeling slightly tired. "Lord Hokage, would you like a ride back to your office?" I offered and stretched out my hand for him to take. He chuckled and gave a short nod, as I pulled him up to his feet. I gave Dante a look, which he instantly understood.

In the blink of an eye, Dante grew twice the size he normally is and let out a cheery howl. Glaning at the Hokage from the corners of my eyes, I noticed the surprise the held. "Dante. Lay so we can get on, ok?" He nodded and lay on the ground, flat on his stomach.

With a jump, I was sitting just below his head, my legs swinging off the side and I hummed happily. "Coming?" I asked the old Hokage, who nodded and jumped up as well. I let out a laugh "You know.. your really agile for your age" He chuckled that old ancient chuckle of his and sat the same way as I was.

"Dante, lets go" I shouted, fist pumping the air. We hadn't ran like this in a while and I was looking forward to it. With a nod of his large head, he crowched down into position and launched himself into the air.

We, more like Dante, were running across the rooftops of the village. Many of the villagers looked up at us in awe and many of the children waved as the Hokage, who would happily wave back.

The wind blew, making my hair fly backwards and all over the place. It felt nice and I had a feeling of freedom. If I closed my eyes, It would feel as though I was once again jumping off that cliff. The way the wind blew then gave the same feeling as now.

I opened my eyes as the feeling stopped. I saw that we were on top of the Hokage's building. Sighing, I jumped down, as did the Hokage himself and Dante changed back to his original size. We smiled at each other and opened the window, before stepping inside.

The ANBU, Ibiki and Anko were still here, which surprised me. "How can you be so patient. We were gone for over an hour" I mused. Ibiki smirked and was about to say something like the smart ass he is, when the Hokage stopped him. "Leave it Ibiki" Said man seemed surprised that the Hokage would stick up for me, but after what i'd just told him.. it's kind of natural.

"Alexis.." He suddenly said. I 'hmm'd?' in responce, kind of in my own world. "If what you said actually happens, then who in this village would you trust enough for me to tell them about your situation?" I pinched the bridge of my nose and let out a sigh "Is 'no one' an ok answer?" He shook his head "I knew I shouldn't have told you" I wined to myself. Dante chuckled from beside me and I gave him the 'look'

"If I had to choose.. it'd be Kakashi" He nodded "I thought so.." With a roll of my eyes, I walked back over to the window and jumped just outside of it. I turned back to glance at the Hokage from over  shoulder and sighed. "I give you permission to tell Kakashi. But make sure it stays just between him, you and me, alright?" "That's fine. Have a nice day and don't forget to train for the final exams" I rolled my eyes and mock saluted him with two fingers, smirking at the confused faces of Ibiki and Anko.

With a swift leap, I flew through the air and made my way across the rooftops, Dante following just beside me. We were both concentrated on beating each other in a race that we didn't noticed that there wasn't anymore buildings to jump on. So.. the both of us landed on the ground in a heap.

"Hahaha.. that hurt.. Hahaha" Dante stated through laughs. I nodded, panting from how fast we were going. "Well, we better go off and find Sasuke to ask where he lives" "I agree, I really don't want to sleep outside anymore" I laughed "Your right about that Dante" He smirked and we both began walking "When am I ever wrong about anythihg?" I stopped and held my hand to my chin "I'm sure we've been through this many, many times already" Dante stopped as well and rose an eyebrow "Right.. we have.."

Once again, we both laughed our way down the road, right on our way towards Sasuke.. the jerk who didn't bother to find us and tell us where he lives..
