Chapter 10

After opening the scrolls and having a ~looong~ conversation with Iruka, we began our way towards a large hall. Our short walk was silent as we were all in our thoughts. Dante chuckled randomly from beside me. I rose an eyebrow "What?" "Nothing. Just that I've never seen them be this silent, even if their lives depended on it" I nodded and patted his head shortly.

Looking ahead, I noticed that we had already arrived. Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke had also already went and stood in line, leaving me behind. I glanced left, then right and sighed. All eyes were on me and I saw some with scrunched up noses; looks of disgust. I placed a hand over my right shoulder and winced in pain slightly. "I knew it'd freak 'em out" Dante chuckled and gave a nod.

With a long sigh, I went and stood next to Kakashi. Naruto shouted "Alexis. Your not allowed to stand over there" I shrugged and looked at Kakashi "I can stand wherever I want, right?" After a moment he nodded and I gave Naruto a '~See~' look. "Alexis.. What happened to your arm?" "Huh? Oh, I had to pull it off" He gave me a 'What the heck?' look. I smirked and shrugged it off.

"Alright! First off, congradulations on passing the second exam!" Anko began her long speech, but I couldn't be bothered to listen to it. I already knew what she was going to say. I didn't notice Dante had already stood next to me, so I flinched when he nuzzled my side. Giving him a glare I whispered "Don't do that!" He merely shrugged it off and faced the other way.

I rolled my eyes and climbed on his back. I sat with my legs hanging down his side and I played with his furr. I noticed some of the candidates giving me weird looks but it didn't bother me, I was used to being stared at. I frowned, remembering those horrid days. Dante must have noticed my expression drop as he asked what was wrong. "I'm just.. remembering those days again" His lips pulled back and he snarled loudly.

Heads turned to look at the noise, but then they went back to listen after seeing my wolf. I pat his head and calmed him. "Don't remember!" "Dante, you know we'll have to go back there soon" "Can't we just not?" I shook my head "Sorry, but we have to finish it. Allesandro has to know it's over for good" He growled quietly but soon calmed and nodded reluctantly.

I glanced over to Orochimaru, who has been keeping his eyes on me for the last few minutes. "So, he really did survive huh" I nodded "It was meant to happen. He shouldn't be killed until-" "Alexis, are you listening?" Kakashi asked. I rose an eyebrow at him and shook my head once. "I know what's going to happen anyway so there's no point in listening" "..Ok" He gave a shot nod and looked back to the front again.

Once everything was explained and the display screen was shown, the first match was called.

I glanced up at the screen and smirked. "Right off the bat, huh?" Dante howled in happiness. I rose an eyebrow at him "It's not like your going to do much of the fighting" "Wait-what!? Why not?" I rolled my eyes "You can help me when I'm in a pinch though" "Fine" He grumbled.

"Will those whose names were displayed please step forward" I walked over to the centre of the room at the same time as my opponent. "I've been waiting for this opportunity" I told him with a smirk. He nodded "Same for me. I want to see what your truly capable of" "I won't fight you full power, can't have you die on me" Hayato coughed, interrupting our conversation. "Would everyone please make their way up to the second level"

With many nods, everyone began walking off. I watched silently but rose an eyebrow when I noticed my team still down beside me. "Alexis! Good luck!" Naruto said with an ear to ear grin. Sakura gave a nod in agreement "Win ok" I rolled my eyes and smirked. "Hn" Sasuke started "Alright guys, lets go up so they can begin" Kakashi shoo'd them up and walked over to me. He placed a hand on my right shoulder, making me wince slightly.

"Don't use your eyes" I scoffed "Who are you to tell me what I can and can't do?" "I'm your sensei. Listen to me just this once Alexis. Don't use them" His tone was stern but I wouldn't listen to him. "Just go Kakashi" With a sigh he stalked off behind the others.

"The first match between Alexis and Kabuto Yakushi. Do you have any objections?" I shook my head "None.." "Same for me" Kabuto smirked, a mischievous glint flashing through his eyes. I licked my lips, feeling my blood boil, inching for a fight. "Urm.. your wolf" Hayato stated. I rolled my eyes and said to Dante "Go and stand up at the upper level with the others" "But I want to fight-" "Just go!" He hung his head and leaped up, landing on the railings right in front of Naruto, making the poor boy fall on his butt in surprise.

I chuckled inwardly before turning back to Kabuto. "Well then.. Begin!" Hayate said and stood back.

I stood still and watched Kabuto's every movement. "Ladies first" He said with a smirk, which I returned. "Well then, why haven't you started?" "You!-" I rolled my eyes and in the blink of an eye threw a kunai towards his heart at an amazing speed. His eyes widened as he barely managed to dodge, getting scratched on the arm in the process. Kabuto began running at me with kunai and shuriken in hand.

With a sigh, I disappeared and reappeared right behind him, kunai to the neck. "Is this all?" I whispered into his ears. I could feel him shiver slightly and smirked. "Nope" All of a sudden, he poofed away, leaving behind a cloud of smoke. Kabuto stabbed me in the back with a kunai from behind and I could practically hear the smirk in his voice. "Is this all?" He mocked. I huffed and poofed away, in my place was a log.

"What? How come I didn't notice?" He asked himself silently. I rolled my eyes and flash stepped in front of him, a few mere feet away. "Can't we.. ya know, make this more interesting?" He raised an eyebrow in confusion and I continued. "Lets make a bet" "Alexis! What are you doing?" Naruto shouted, outraged.

Ignoring the blonde, blue eyed boy, I kept my gaze on Kabuto, awaiting his answer. "What bet?" "Life... Lets bet our lives in this fight" His eyes widened and I smirked as gasps errupted from the upper levels. "Why bet our lived on a preliminary match?" I shrugged "It makes everything all the more.. exciting. Don't you think so?" He shook his head. "Your truly unpredictable, Alexis" He put emphises on my name.

I smirked and asked "Do you agree to this bet? Or are you too chicken?" He glared at me hatefully and I laughed at him mentally. 'Fool, being prevoked so easily.. or is it just another act?' I shrugged of my thoughts as I heard Kabuto say "Fine, I agree. Let's bet our lives on this match" Sakura then shouted furiously at me. "Alexis! What are you thinking!? Do you plan to die!?" I shurgged and rolled my eyes at her.

"Why are you worried Sakura? There's no need for it. I will win this match" She sighed, I noticed her gripping the bars tightly, as was Naruto. When I glanced Sasuke's way, I was confused. He was also gripping the bars. I shrugged off the toughts and turned my attention back to my silver haired four eyes friend.

With a sigh, I did one-handed hand signs shouting "Dragon flame bomb" I shooted out a massive fireball which flew at Kabuto with such speed. He dodged and ran at me from the side with a kick. I began to block it but then remembered I don't have an arm. I cursed under my breath as the kick sent me flying towards the wall. Flipping in the air, I landed on the wall in a crouched position and bent my knees further before shooting back at him.

(Third Person POV)

Alexis took out a kunai. They clashed together before both jumping back again. "Water style: Hidden mist jutsu" Alexis cried out. Soon a heavy mist formed around the room making it impossible for any of the other candidates, or anyone of the matter, to see. Kabuto glanced from left to right constantly, trying to find her. He couldn't feel her presence anywhere and began to panic slightly.

All of a sudden, the ground below him cracked and a hang sprung out from it, attempting to grab a hold of his ankle. Kabuto, luckily jumped away just in time. Alexis tsk'd and sent a kick his way, before disappearing and appearing behind him kicking once again. This went on for a minute before Alexis got tired of it and jumped back. Kabuto had many bruises forming on his arms and he glared at Alexis with hate filled eyes.

"Come on, your soo boring. I thought you'd be stronger, but this is just a waste of my time.. so disappointing" Alexis shook her head in disappointment and she sighed. Running a hand through her hair she looked around and decided to finish it off. No one would be able to see, so everything would be fine.

After closing her eyes for a moment, she opened them. Kabuto gasped in surprise and stared at her agape. Her red eyes with swirled lines towards the center stared deep into his soul. He shivered uncomfortably. "Y-You.. really are her!" He exclaimed rather loudly. Kakashi hearing this, lifted up his head band and looked over the two with his sharingan. He felt something coming from Alexis and the moment she looked his way, he gasped. 'I told her not to use it' He shouted to himself mentally.

Alexis shook her head and said "Gate to the six paths: Asura" under her breath, barely audible to Kabuto himself. Alexis' right arm began to form once again. The metal ripped through her skin in the form of a long sword. Alexis began to hurry as the mist was clearing. She ran at Kabuto with the intent to kill and slashed her sword at him. He did attempt to jump back, but sadly was too slow as the metla sword slashed across his chest in a diaginal line.

Kabuto wiped clood off the sides of his mouth with his sleeve and smirked. 'I can't believe it. She really is Yasuko. Orochimaru was right' He mused to himself.

The mist cleared and everyone was clearly confused about the sight before them. Kabuto was holding his bleeding chest while Alexis stood a few meters in front of him with a large sword coming out from her arm. Kakashi's eyes widened before narrowing at her in anger "I told her not to!" "Whats wrong Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura asked. He shook his head "It's nothing Sakura"

Alexis sighed "It's time we end this Kabuto. The bet we made about putting our lives on the line. Well, your life is about to end now. Prepare yourself!" Alexis' arm began to change shape. It turned and twisted itself a few times before forming into some sort of cannon. Many of the candidates gasped in shock and awe. Naruto was one of those candidates, he could barely control himself from asking her to teach him how to do it. Dante seeing this, grinned darkly. It'd been ages since she's used the Asura path and it excited him throughout.

Kabuto stared at the cannon agape before his eyes widened at what she was planning to do. Lifting her now metal cannon arm in front of her, Alexis smirked. There was silence for a mere second before a massive amount of chakra circulated inside the cannon. "Chakra Explosion" In the blink of an eye a large flash of light launched straight ahead towards Kabuto.

Kabuto's eyes widened in horror as the chakra shot around him. Not even a second later did the light become an explosion at contact. Debris and rock flew everywhere and smoke surrounded the room, blinding everyone of their sights. Dante howled through the silence, happy at what his best friend  has accomplished. With a single leap, he stood beside Alexis, nudging her side.

(Alexis' POV)

I chuckled quietly to myself as Dante began tickling me. "That was amazing Alexis, I enjoyed every second of it" "Thanks Dante" The smoke finally began to clear and I glanced around to see what damage my chakra cannon had caused.

A dark grin found it's way onto my face as I stared at Kabuto who was currently laying on the ground, flat on his back, clutching his stomach. The wall behind him was cracked and broked to pieces showing another room. I walked over to him and crouched down before his injured body. "I won Kabuto" Standing up, I turned and walked towards the proctor. "Your life is now mine"

I looked at Hayate and raised an eyebrow "I've won. Call the match" "R-right! The winner of the first preliminary match is Alexis *cough*" I grinned mentally. "Alexis, you might wanna change your arm back to normal now. Everyone's looking at you" "Hehe.. guess I should" I concentrated my chakra and used the Asura path once again. This time, it formed into a metla arm. It looked the exact same length and shape as my left arm and I was pleased with myself. I fisted my hand before stretching it out again, repeating this process a few times to make sure everything was working properly.

"Looks good, now come on. We have to go up so they can start the second match" I nodded and sat on Dante's back as he leaped up to the second stage. As soon as I got off my large wolfs back, I was glomped. My eyes widened and my body turned stiff. "U-Urh.. N-naruto.. can you.. let go!" He pulled away fast and scratched the back of his neck in an embarrassed mannor. A red tint past over his cheeks and I smiled slightly. However, the smile was gone as soon as it came.

"Your match was great Alexis" Sakura said with a smile. I nodded in thanks and leaving against the wall examining my newly reformed arm. "Hey Alexis! Can you teach me how to grow an arm like that" I flinched and stared at the ground with a frown. After a moment I looked up at Naruto and shook my head "You can't just learn something like this, Naruto and trust me, you wouldn't want to grow an arm if you knew how much it hurts" He frowned before sighing and giving me a nod.

I glanced over to Sasuke, who weirdly enough, has been keeping his eyes on me for a while now. "What?" I deadpanned. He rolled his eyes and looked away "Nothing" I sighed before sliding down the war to sit down next to Dante. "You ok Alexis?" I nodded "I'm fine. Don't worry about it Dante" "..If your sure" I smiled at him and lay my head on his back. "Your so comfy Dante" I felt his stomach rumble as he let out a chuckle "I'm glad you find me comfortable Alexis" "Hm.."

"I thought I told you not to use it!" I didn't have to look up to know whose voice that was. I sigh under my breath and said "And I thought I told you that you don't have the right to tell me what to do. If I didn't then let me say it again" I cleared my throat "You have no right to tell me what to do, Kakashi" I could practically feel his glare staring holes in my shoulder, but I just shrugged it off, not really caring.

"Aren't you at least going to watch Sasuke's match?" "Hm? I already know what's going to happen, so there's no need to watch it" I sighed and stood back up slowly. "Might as well wish him luck though" I said as I strolled over to him. "Hey Sasuke" He glanced my way and rose an eyebrow in question. "Good luck, Ne? Not that you'll need it" I mumbled the last part. He smirked and gave me a short nod before jumping down to face his opponent.

I sighed deeply.. this is going to be entertaining enough...
