chapter 2

The next year, she became better, she had a few new friends, including this boy. This boy was everything to her. He didn't judge her. He was the answer to her prayers. He was the one that she could never, would never get.

She still felt wronged by the world. She still had arguing parents, she was still blamed for everything. She still felt as though she wasn't good enough for the world- for him.

A few months of crazy crushing passed, she felt more and more discouraged by the day. So she settled for being his friend. Soon, another guy asked her out. He seemed like the dream to her. He actually liked her, or so she thought.

The other guy was a jerk to her. He treated her as a second choice, as a bait to her best friend. Her best friend was everything she wasn't. She was tall, gorgeous, had the curves, had the looks, had the personality. He was using her to get the other girl. She found out much later, but two weeks after asking her out, he went behind her back and told her friend she was hot.

A few months later, he dumped her. She let him win the game. He made her cry for weeks. Her teachers made her go home, she wouldn't settle down. Her mother was no help in her heart break. Her mother told her to grow up and get over it. No help.

The people closest to her were her greatest help. They helped her move on. Soon, she became closer to her former crush again. He really helped her. She wanted to quit and drop out of school, he kept her there. He helped her through it. He was there.

Her feelings began to come back. He helped her so much. She felt so close to him. One day, she was put right in front of him in one of their classes. She was really struggling on an assignment. This sweet boy grabbed that paper from her and made the cutest face ever and helped her with it. That moment was the biggest turning point for her.

That moment showed her what she knew all along. He was it. He would treat her with kindness and respect. He would help her with anything. He would ground her and keep her calm. He would help her when she was overwhelmed.

For months they would flirt back and forth. She would get overwhelmed and he would help her out. He would make her feel important. He would complete her.

When she was told one too many times by his and her best friends that she has no shot at getting with him. She decided she needed a rebound.

She finds some guy who is willing to get with her without knowing her well. That was a mistake of the highest. He and her were somewhat good together. However, she still had very obvious feelings for her crush. Sadly, he wasn't helping like she thought he would. They would go to the local library and make out for hours. They would go anywhere and make out, that was pretty much all they would do.

Soon, they broke up. She was fine, but still, she wasn't over her crush. She texted him when she got rejected by her second rebound attempt. She was sobbing and texting him. Finally, she talked to him about all the feelings she had kept in the last few months...

This chapter of her life has come out a lot better than she expected. She still, however, feels rejected. She still misses the one person she wanted the whole time. Her ex is still in her circle. Her ex still makes her feel shitty. Just not for the reasons you think. He makes her feel she isn't good enough. Still.
