Prologue

Seven.

There were seven teenagers in the cage. Well, a moving cage that was shooting up at a fast rate. The seven teenagers were all passed out, a few touching another and others alone in the corner. It was quiet, the only thing that could be heard was the sound of the metal cage speeding on its hinges.

That's when a gasp escaped from one of them. A dark male was the first one to wake up as he sat up from his spot.

He frantically looked around as he saw the bodies of others around him. "Hey!" He shouted, hoping to wake them up or someone to hear him.

"Get me out!" He shouted, he went to stand up but fell back down. "Help us!" He shouted again as his hand clasped around the cage.

"What's going on?" A groggily voice from another boy asked.

"Who are you?" The dark skinned boy asked the one that was on the other side of the cage from him.

"George. Who are you?" The boy answered.

"I'm..." the dark skinned boy couldn't remember. Why couldn't he remember his name? Why couldn't he remember his name?!

"I don't remember." Was all he answered. The boy, George, didn't say anything else. He just looked at the rest of the ones that looked like they were dead.

That's when the cage jerked to a stop and a buzzing noise filled their ears. Another boy slowly opened his eyes as he looked around.

"Help me with this." The dark skinned boy looked to George then to the newly awakened one as he stood up and tried to open the top of the cage.

The three tried to open the cage, unaware of two more boys slowly standing up and looking at one another.

"Who the fuck are you all?" One asked as he looked from the two that were passed out then the ones that were awake.

"Shut up and help us out." The dark skinned one basically demanded.

The boy who just cussed out muttered something under his breath before he went over to help. The five boys gave a few more shoves before the cage opened, the bright sun beaming down on them as they squinted and covered their eyes.

"Let's go." George told them.

One of the boys backed up a bit as he made his way towards the two that were still passed out. He kneeled down and shoved the girl gently. Her hair was covering her face while her arm was on the back of the boy. The boy that was right next to her was laying face down, one of his arms tucked under his stomach.

"Hey, get up." The boy who was shoving her lightly said, he had a British accent.

The girl suddenly awoke and looked from the sleeping boy beside her to the one staring at her.

"Who are you?" The girl questioned.

"I could ask you the same thing." The British boy remarked.

"Clara." She answered and the boy gave her a small nod.

"Newt."

The girl then turned to the last sleeping boy and gave him a few shoves before he awoke too. The same question falling from his lips.

"Are you guys coming or not?" The mouthy one questioned from above the cage. Him and three others were already out.

"We're coming. Calm down." Newt told them, clearly annoyed and frustrated. He gestured for Clara to go first as he helped push her up with George and the unnamed mouthy boy helped pull her out.

Once they were all out they looked at their surroundings.  It was a large grassy area, animals roaming around where there were a section of trees in the distance.  But, there were walls keeping them from going any further.

Once they looked at their surroundings they looked at each other.  Of course, Clara being the only girl struck out to them all.  But they didn't even bother to ask why she was the only girl here.  Why?  Because they don't know anything, not even their name for some.

"Anyone have any answers?"  George asked as he looked at the group.  They all stood in a circle.

"What do you mean?"  Newt asked.

"I mean why are we here, especially with you lot and what is this place."  George looked at Newt then to the others.

"I can't remember anything but my name.  Why can't I remember anything but my name?"  Clara questioned, panicking slightly.

"You remember your name?  I can't even remember that."  The boy who stood across from her remarked.  He had green eyes and dirty blonde hair.

"You'll remember.  It'll come eventually.  I didn't remember at first.  But, now I do.  It's Alby."  The dark skinned boy told him.

"I'm Newt."  The British one piped in.

"George."

"Oh, we're sharing our names now?  I'm Minho."  The mouthy one said.

"Clara."

"I'm Leo." The last one answered, his eyes looking like a lost puppy.

"Wonderful. I'm the only one who still doesn't have a name." The green eye boy scoffed.

"We'll just call you greenie." Alby told him.

"What the hell is that?" The boy asked.

"It's because your eyes are so green. Take it or leave it." Alby crossed his arms over his chest.

"I'm thinking about leaving it."

This made a few laughs and smiles appear from the teenagers. Before they all looked around again.

"Guess we should get started." Alby looked to one of the walls then to the supplies in the cage that they were previously in.

"Started on what?" Leo asked, his voice soft.

"On the start of our lives." Was Alby's answer.

**A/N: I read The Fever Code way back when it first came out so I really don't remember it and I did my best to google everything. So FaceClaims I tried to figure out the best description for them or just used people I liked.

** Aaron & Carter are my own OCs so they come in way later**
