Looking after her
AvaGrace's POV:
"Atchoo!" I sneezed for the nth time. "Oh God!" I whined. I have been running a fever since yesterday night.
I moaned at the pain in my stomach. Gosh, I shouldn't have eaten that mushroom risotto. Thank goodness Mia was here last night, she has helped me a lot. I don't know what would have happened if she wasn't here. I hope she has told Mr. Salvestro about my absence.
I closed my eyes for a while, waiting for the pain to subside when I heard a knock at the door. I decided to ignore it and went back to sleep when I heard the knock once more, but this time it was more insistent.
Oh my God! Who the hell is disturbing me right now?! I wiped my nose and wrapped myself in my blanket and got up from the sofa. I weakly and gradually walked towards the door and opened it but was tremendously shocked to see who was at my door, looking at me with rage in his eyes.
"Mr. Salvestro?!" I murmured in my weak voice. "Wha—atchoo!" I heard him sigh.
"Move." He ordered icily with that same angry expression on his Greek face.
"What? No." I replied making him narrow his eyes at me. "I mean what are you doing here?" I rephrased.
"I can see that you are very weak right now and it will definitely not be a problem for me to take you on my shoulders and move you from this door so that I can enter." He threatened making me move instantly away from the door.
"You haven't answered my question, Mr. Salvestro." I closed the door and slowly turned to face him. "What are you doing here?"
"I told you it's Sebastian outside the office." I saw him place a plastic bag which seemed to have something in it on the table. "And I had some work to do that needed your assistance. Knowing that you would not be in the office, I preferred to come here."
"Oh." I responded blankly. That jerk! He knows I'm sick and yet he shamelessly came here to do his work. What an ass.
And you thought he came here for you, my subconscious laughed at me.
"What are you doing, standing up?" Sebastian asked incredulously. "You're sick, come and rest." He moved away from the couch and gestured for me to get in.
"What about your work?" I asked weakly.
"We'll do it later." For once, he replied gently.
I nodded, too tired to answer. I made myself comfortable in the couch and rested my head on the hand rest. I could hear some shuffling around. I lifted my head slightly, to see Sebastian remove his suit and place it on the chair next to the island.
Oh my gosh! I could see his muscled body through that tight shirt of his. Good Lord, that man is truly a Greek God. If only I could see him shirtless and run my hands all over his body.
Oh my God, what am I thinking?! Bad, bad Ava. I closed my eyes tightly to prevent myself from thinking a naked Sebastian in front of me.
"What is wrong with you?" I heard his arrogant voice snapping me out of my not so pure reverie.
"Um, nothing." I said, trying to look at his face but failed miserable because my eyes were pulled towards that delicious body of his.
"Move your legs." He ordered, making me look at him with wide eyes.
"What? Why?" I questioned suddenly afraid.
"Just move it." He rolled his eyes at me. "I'm not going to do anything with you, not in this state. Unless you want me to." He smirked at me making me blush furiously.
Seeing that I wasn't doing anything with my legs, Sebastian came towards me and lifted my feet slightly so that he could sit down on the same couch and then placed my feet on his thighs. Oh, so this was his plan. He could simply have said that he wanted to sit here! Drama king.
"How are you feeling?" He asked after a minute of silence.
"Oh great. I feel on top of the world." I replied sarcastically but then realized what I said when he glared at me.
"You should be lucky you're sick or else you would have known what happens when someone talks to me on such a tone, AvaGrace." He warned making my stomach flip.
"I'm sorry." I have no idea why I'm apologizing. "I feel like hell and my stomach hurts a lot. Atchoo!" I wiped my nose, feeling embarrassed since he is in front of me right now.
"And may I know why you didn't go to a hospital?" I could feel his anger growing second by second.
No, you can't. This was what I wanted to say but refrained myself.
"I didn't feel like it." I replied instead. "And they would have injected a needle in me." I shuddered thinking of that huge needle.
"You're afraid of needles?" Sebastian looked disbelievingly at me. I nodded at him afraid to look straight at him. I know if I looked at him now, he can murder me with his eyes. "So, you prefer to go through this pain instead of looking for a solution at the hospital?" I nodded once again.
"You're crazy, you know that?" Sebastian said with an edge in his tone.
"Needles are huge." I argued making him narrow his gorgeous eyes at me.
"Stubborn brat." He murmured under his breath. If I was in good health, I think I would have given him my answer that would shut him up. "I brought some soup for you. Get up and eat up." He ordered.
"That's very thoughtful of you." I smiled at him. I never thought he would come here and bring some soup.
"I need to get some food in that stomach of yours so that we can work." He said making the good thoughts I had about him go away. Of course, he thinks only about himself.
I lifted my feet off him so that he can give me the soup. He took the plastic box out of the bag, opened it and inserted a spoon in it. However, when I saw the ingredients in the soup, I instantly felt repelled from it.
"Is this spinach soup?" My eyes grew as wide as saucers when I smelt the soup.
"Yeah, it's good for fever and stomach pain." He was about to hand me the bowl of soup when I placed my hands in front of him, declining his offer.
"No, thank you. I don't like spinach." I told him politely. I prefer to remain sick instead of eating this.
"AvaGrace." He said in a warning tone. I shrugged at him and curled myself even more in my blanket. "Fine, if you want to act like a child, so be it." He said to himself, but I preferred to ignore him.
"AvaGrace, there's something I need to tell you." Sebastian said in a low voice.
I turned towards him, curious to know what he has to say.
"I'm gay." Once these two words were out of his mouth, my eyes widened and my mouth opened on its own accord.
It happened so fast that I did not realize that Sebastian had put the spoonful of soup in my mouth.
"You tricked me." I yelled at him with a sore throat once I swallowed the horrible soup.
"Well, you were the one who wanted to be treated like a child and it worked." He mocked me. "Now open your mouth like a good girl and eat this soup, quickly."
"Fine." I surrendered. I opened my mouth and he made me eat this soup. However, during this whole time, my eyes were stuck only on his gorgeous orbs.
"Last spoon." Sebastian said. I then regretted that this was the last spoon. I wish there was more of this horrible soup so that he could feed me again and again.
Oh God, what is wrong with me?!
"Thanks for the soup." I smiled gratefully. I was indeed feeling better now that there was some food inside me.
"It's okay. Now get some rest." He commanded.
I went back to my previous position and rested my head with my feet on the thighs of Sebastian.
However, some minutes later, I felt as if the soup that I have just eaten was threatening to come out.
Oh no, not now. Not in front of him.
I tried to prevent it but could not.
"Ava, are you okay?" Sebastian asked worriedly.
"Sick." Was all I could say before I threw everything on the ground.
"Shit!" I heard Sebastian curse. He came next to me and held my hair in one fist so that my hair would not be dirtied by vomit.
"I'm sorry." I said before throwing up more. This continued for ten more minutes before I felt that there was nothing more inside me.
"I'm taking you to the hospital, right now." Sebastian told me in an agitated tone.
"I'll be fine." I whispered sleepily.
"Just shut up, AvaGrace and no more arguments." He snapped. This time I did not reply since I was feeling too weak.
I tried to fight that sleep that was overcoming me but could not do so.
"Ava?! Shit!" I felt Sebastian pick me up but taking me somewhere. I tried to ask me but the sleep was overpowering me and soon I was out.
