Fever
Hello my gorgeous readers,
So, I tried to make this chapter a little bit longer. I hope you'll enjoy it.
Love you <3

"Um, hi." I replied nervously once I saw him. Now that I am here, the idea of looking after him doesn't look that much appealing. Oh shut up you! You're here to simply return the good gesture that he did when you were sick, my inner voice spoke authoritatively clearing all the negative thoughts from my mind.
"What are you doing here?" Mr. Salvestro asked, seeming totally confused.
"Actually, when I went to work, Mia told me that you were not well." At my reply, Mr. Salvestro's gorgeous face turned into a frown. "So, I came here to check on you." I explained further.
"You went to the office?" Mr. Salvestro asked, annoyed. So, this is what he heard after whatever I just said. How smart! "Which part of staying at home for a week did you not understand, Ava?" Mr. Salvestro chastised, looking clearly mad. Why does he always make me feel like I did horrible mistakes?!
"I'm sorry." I apologized, playing with my fingers. Wait, why the hell am I apologizing? I swear this man will definitely drive me crazy. "But, you were here by my side when I was sick. So, it's fair that I look after you when you are ill." I replied in a timid voice.
Mr. Salvestro sighed heavily. "Ava, I can look after myself. There was no need to come all the way here to take care of me just because I was there for you." He explained, rubbing his temple. "You're my assistant, so it was my responsibility to be there for you." I don't know why, but I felt slightly disheartened at his reply. You're just his assistant, Ava. Get over it! My subconscious snapped.
I don't care what he thinks of me but I can't leave him here in this bad shape. My morals won't allow me to do so.
"And you're my boss and it's my responsibility to look after you when you're not well." I said, stubbornly feeling quite proud of myself for standing up.
"You do realize that you are arguing with your boss and I could make your life quite miserable for your obstinate actions, right?" He raised his right eyebrow at me, challenging me. He's right. He could make my life woeful if he wanted to. Well, it's not like he's a wonderful boss right now. He's still a jerk. I think I will be able to bear it if he decides to be a bigger jerk.
"I'm willing to take the risk but I'm not leaving you on your own." I replied tenaciously. I think I saw a slight smile on his face but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared, or it's my mind playing tricks at me.
"As you wish." He replied, beginning to cough uncontrollably. I ran towards the bed side table and took the glass of water and handed it to him.
"Did you take your medicines?" I asked once he drowned all the water in the glass.
"No." He muttered making me roll my eyes.
"Where do you keep your medicines?" I asked looking around the room. It was then that I realized how big and spacious his room was. And it was absolutely nickel.
"Downstairs, in the kitchen. It's found in one of the cabinets." He answered taking back his laptop, placing it on his thighs beginning to work again.
"I'll get it." I replied, making my way out of his room.
"No need. I'll come and take it myself once I'm done with this call." He said in his professional mode.
I nodded and made my way downstairs to the kitchen. I could make him a soup. It's usually what people have when they are sick.
I opened a few cabinets to see where he keeps his pots and after quite some searching I finally found one. Wait before getting started I need music. I need music whenever I cook or clean the house.
I rummaged through my bag and took out my old MP3. Yes, I have an MP3 because I cannot afford an iPod.
I put my earphones and played 'Shape of You' by Ed Sheeran. I swear this singer is definitely one of the best singers we have.
Once I was done, I began to prepare for the soup. I walked to his fridge and noticed that there were already some chopped vegetables. Perfect.
I took out the vegetables that I needed for the soup and heated the oil and water in the pot for a few minutes and placed the chopped vegetables in it.
Few minutes later, I added the salt and thyme. I began stirring the soup while swaying a little along the song that was playing.
Once I felt that the soup was more or less ready, I turned off the gas and took out the pot, tilted it to pour its content in the soup bowl.
I took the bowl and turned around to place the bowl on the kitchen island so that Mr. Salvestro could have it. But once I turned, I was shocked to see who was watching me with a fiery gaze. The bowl began to shake slightly in my hands such that I had to hold it tighter now.
Please, please make sure he didn't see anything, I inwardly prayed.
I could see different emotions flickering in his eyes however couldn't decipher none.
Not wanting to get anymore awkward, I cleared my voice and walked towards the island to place the bowl of soup.
"I can see that you made yourself at home." Mr. Salvestro stated. I ran a hand through my hair, feeling a little bit edgy.
I took out my earphone and placed my MP3 on the table. "I um, made you some soup." He raised both his eyebrows at me making me frown. I then realized what a stupid thing to say. Of course, he can see that I made him soup.
"Have a seat." Mr. Salvestro ordered once he took a spoon from the spoon holder. I immediately complied taking a seat on the opposite side of him.
Mr. Salvestro plunged his spoon in the soup and began to drink it. I hope the soup tastes good.
Just when I was about to ask him who was the soup, my phone went off causing Mr. Salvestro to look at me. I excused myself and walked towards where my bag was and took out my phone. Mia.
"Hey, Mia," I said through the phone.
"Hey, listen, I will not come home today." Mia spoke loudly due to the background noise. I wonder where she is.
"Okay, where will you be staying?" I asked a little worried.
"Rafe asked me to stay with him today." I could hear her blushing through the phone. If she's staying with Rafe then it's fine.
"Okay, have fun." I replied, pressing the red button. I placed my phone back in my bag and it was then that I realized that the keys of the house was with her. Shit!
I called her back to tell her that I would come to pick the keys but her phone was now off. I tried three more times but her phone was still unreachable. How is this possible? We were just talking and now her phone is unreachable.
"What happened?" I jumped when I heard the velvety voice of Mr. Salvestro.
"Um, it was Mia. She told me that she wouldn't come home today." I answered, worried about how will I get home.
"Yeah, so?" Mr. Salvestro asked failing to understand.
"I-I don't have the keys." I replied a little bit embarrassed. "She forgot to hand me over the keys before she left."
"Oh." He answered, as if contemplating something. "You could stay here." Mr. Salvestro suddenly said making my eyes go wide.
"W-what? No!" I immediately refused. Stay here, with him?! Oh no, that will be a bad idea.
"Why not?" He asked, a huge frown plastered on his face.
"Because I cannot and don't want to intrude." I explained. "I can call Jackson and ask him if I can come over. I'm sure he won't mind." Once these words were out of my mouth, Mr. Salvestro sent daggers at me making my stomach flip. What did I do now?
"You're not going to Jackson's place." Mr. Salvestro commanded through clenched teeth. "I'm ordering you to stay here until Mia comes back, end of discussion." He spat, walking towards the stairs and leaving me alone.
I guess I do not have any other choice than to stay here now, do I?
Not knowing what else to do after Sebastian left me here, I walked towards his couch and took a seat. Wow, this couch was probably the best couch in which I ever sat. It was so comfortable. I closed my eyes for a while but soon sleep overcame my tired body and I was out.
I got startled by the sound something falling and jumped from my comfortable position. I noticed there was a blanket on me and it was completely dark outside.
I looked at my phone and saw it was seven in the evening. Oh boy! I slept for that long?!
However, what got me scared was that noise. I looked around and saw that no one was in the kitchen. I hope it's not Mr. Salvestro.
I took away the blanket that was on me and quickly ran upstairs to the room of Mr. Salvestro. Once I reached there, I nearly screamed when I saw the sight in front of me.
Mr. Salvestro was lying on the floor looking deathly pale and there was even a glass that was completely shattered next to him.
Oh my God! Shit! Shit! Shit!
My heart began to beat faster and faster.
I quickly ran towards him and placed my hand on his face. Crap! He was burning down with fever.
Oh my God, what do I do now?!
I looked around and saw a jug of water. I ran towards it and took it with trembling hands. I sprinkled some water on his face hoping that he would wake up but in vain.
Crap! Even this is not working.
I need to get him to the hospital right now. But how?
Ethan.
I noticed the phone of Mr. Salvestro was on the bed side table. I rapidly took it and went to his contacts and called Ethan.
Unfortunately, even he was not picking his phone. What the hell!
Shit! Whom should I call now?
Robert.
He's a doctor, perhaps he could come over.
Good idea.
I called him up but just when I was about to give up, he picked up.
"Missing me, bastard?!" Robert said through the phone, thinking that I was Mr. Salvestro.
"Um, Robert?" I asked shakily. There was a pause before Robert answered.
"Ava?" He remembers me?
"Yes, it's me." I told him, looking back at the pale figure of Mr. Salvestro. "Listen, can you please come over to Mr. Salvestro's house. He is not well at all and right now he is completely unconscious on the floor looking extremely pale." I explained in one breath.
"Stop crying, Ava. I'm coming over right now." Crying? I touched my cheeks and realized that I was indeed crying.
"Okay." I sniffed turning the phone off. I placed the phone back in its place and walked to Mr. Salvestro trying to pick him up but he was way too built up.
A few minutes later, I heard knocking at the door.
Must be Robert.
I ran down the stairs and quickly opened the door. Thank goodness it was him.
"Where is he?" Robert asked breathing hard.
"Upstairs, in his room." I answered. Robert nodded and ran upstairs. I wiped my tears and closed the door and followed.
When I reached his room, Robert had already placed him on the bed and was now examining him.
"Is he okay?" I asked guiltily, my tears threatening to come out.
"He'll be fine. He has seen worse, don't worry." Robert chuckled. How can he laugh when his friend is in this bad condition.
Ten minutes later, Robert was done with him and walked to me. "Hey, he'll be fine. I've already given him an injection that will drop the fever. Don't you worry."
Once he said this, I began to sob uncontrollably. "Thi-this is all my fault." I hiccupped. "I came here to watch over him and I fell asleep instead of looking after him! I should have been with him."
"Hey, it's not your fault." Robert placed both his hands on my face making me look at him. Now that I am really looking at him, he is a very handsome guy. Well, not as handsome as the man who is lying on the bed but still he is definitely good looking. "I know Sebastian. Even if he's sick, he will not tell anyone. How could you have known that his fever would rise this much? Besides, as I've told you before, Seb has seen worse. This is a small bug, nothing more, okay?" I nodded, feeling a little bit calmer.
"Come, I'll stay with you until he wakes up." Robert offered making his way downstairs.
I took a last glance at the sleeping body of Mr. Salvestro before following Robert.

I wanted to ask you, how many of you have watched the last episode of Game of Thrones? How did you find it? I'm asking this because I'm a huge fan of GoT and wanted to hear what you think :)
