OMKARA SINGH OBEROI
A renowned Indian artist by profession, the overall soulful character is played by the artist Kunal Jaisingh.
Omkara has a knack for few things: brush strokes, shayari and trampling your thoughts. He almost always had something contradictory to anyone's thoughts. It always induced frustration inside people around him because the bastard was always right, logical and humane. They knew he was right!
He cared about honesty and truth more than anything. The lover of the family wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice anything for honesty in return, even if it was the blood tie he had to break.
RUDRA SINGH OBEROI
The hardworking, Mattoo aka Lee-Man aka Leenesh Mattoo, charmingly portrays Rudra Singh Oberoi.
The youngest son of the Oberois and the official pet of Shivaay, is an habitual player. He loves everyone, especially his family. And everybody loves Rudra, which at times turns out to be a huge problem that he fails to see.
Rudra was always childish and never foresaw problems. His negligence leads him to be taken aback when he lands in a peach; sleeping with a cop whilst being in love with your best friend is an obvious recipe for disaster, he must have seen that beforehand!
So much for Love!
GAURI KUMARI SHARMA
Naam toh Suna hoga! The ardent young woman is played by the talented Shrenu Parikh.
Gauri is a simple, loving girl, despite being highly superstitious. She always believes that her Sankar Ji will straighten it all out.
In this book, she makes a grand entrance as the Oberoi's second son, Omkara's, girlfriend, whom he fell in love with on his trip to Bareilly. The girl is not accepted by her future-in-laws, due to the obvious class difference.
The girl can't pronounce words properly for God's sake!
Of course, Mr. Tej Singh Oberoi can't accept her as the future heiress of the Oberoi Empire, albeit it strains his relationship with his eldest further! Pinky, on the other hand loathes her, as this girl might by the reason for her foreseen defeat in the family feud, all by creating the first of the next generation of heirs.
Is Omkara's love enough to save her from all this drama that comes along with the Oberoi tag?
SOUMYA FULPAGARE
Nehalaxmi Iyer plays Soumya Fulpagare, a character not only Rudra is in love with, everyone else as well.
She's a typical feminist youth, proudly waving flags around Mumbai. The girl from a poor Marathi homeage stole every Oberoi's heart (pun, probably, intended) as soon as she stepped foot as a temporary baby-sitter for Rudra and Priyanka. Although Rudra was older than a year, it was mutually decided by every family member that he needed one more than the sixteen year old Priyanka.
The family opened their home and hearts to the then eighteen year old orphan, and made her study further, gave her a family, many shoulders to finally cry on.
Rudra fell in love with the girl he named Sumo and he really couldn't help himself. She was his Love-Angel, after all. His.
"You're going to make me proud," Sumo's Shivaay Bhaiya always said. And she promised herself, she would. She will fight any cloud that comes her way.
She will become big. She will make that man who gave her everything, proud.
BHAVYA PRATAP RATHORE
Bhavya, played by Mansi Srivastava, is a responsible and honourable Assistant Commissioner of Police in the city of Mumbai.
All was good in her cop-land, until the day she slept with the deceiving and charming Rudra. The twenty eight year old did not realize the Casanova she was starting to really like was actually a college student who was much younger. Above all, he was an OBEROI! Bhavya did not wake up feeling almost in love to be welcomed by heartbreak served as breakfast. She has to do something about this!
Does Rudra even like her back? He was renowned for his playboy tendency. But he said, "Trust me." They are dating now, after all. Is it all worth it? Is there something she's missing? She has to find out!
Nobody blames her, Oberoi's have a tendency to create shit storm in unsuspecting people's lives on daily basis. Ask Annika!
PRIYANKA SINGH OBEROI
The only daughter of the Oberois, played by Subha Rajput, is socially awkward. Period.
She was always in the sidelines or cocooned by her protective brothers and Soumya, often.
Prinku Pehlwan never took the opportunity to stand up for anything, even herself.
Will she let her new acquaintance manage to turn her into a social butterfly? Or will she shy down for the sake of her Shivaay Bhaiya's feelings?
A wuss of an excuse, of course.
MALLIKA TAMBE
Mallika Tambe, played by the talented Surbhi Jyoti, is a lazy bum.
But, fate in favors, she's a super model. Her negligence, nonchalance, irresponsible and careless attitude is the biggest reason for all the Raita. Shivaay and Annika wouldn't have had the displeasure of meeting each other. Annika wouldn't have had to take up new and fortunate responsibilities. For the sake of her best friend, at least, Mallika couldn't have bonded with Annika.
If only she hadn't gotten drunk on the big Show Night! If only she didn't pass out! If only she didn't take Shivaay's cryptically endearing "Break a leg!" quite literally! If only Annika didn't think she was stuck in the green room with a dead body!
If only- wait! Why is everyone always blaming the Cupid?
AMAN SINGH KHOYE MAURYA
Karan Tacker plays this Punjabi Rich bachelor, who moved back to home from...drum rolls...Canada.
Aman immediately takes a liking to Annika, much to his fellow Punjabi friends distaste.
Aman is down to earth, way too down for his bank balance. His genuinely genuine, much like his favorite word : genuity. And all this genuineness is what made Annika develop a crush on him.
Besides, anyone sane would choose a charmer over an arrogant asshole, in the end!
Arrogance is a displeasing attribute. And Annika isn't exactly sane.
SANJANA SAHA
The heiress of one of the biggest (crashing) empires of East India, is played by the skillful and happening actress, Kajal Agarwal.
Born and brought up in London, Miss Saha is all ready to take East India by a storm, for the sake of her promise she gave to her father. She has to take over, or else hundreds of people will lose their jobs and succumb to debt.
Albeit, she sounds like a privileged British Noble from 1857, she means well.
She has to keep up her words and she will do anything for that. People need her to take a stand. So she shall. Even if it means to wad off the Business Man of The Year in a wild goose chase for he tries to take over.
What does a poised princess from England have? Herself.
"Girls can do anything, Mr. Oberoi. You must realize."
