as i walked, i noticed the sun beginning to rise into the sky like a blooming daffodil on a spring morning. by this point, i must of been at least 3 miles from my  old village; i had been walking for over 6 hours and my aching feet were just about killing me! i was hungry, tired, achy, alone and most importantly... i was bored. bored out of my skin!

i decided to stop to look around for any sign of a village or town. perhaps even a city might be ahead somewhere along this old high way!

i looked around, scanning the horizon until i noticed the skyscrapers that appeared to be approximately 2 hours walk East from my current position. Thank god. At least that will mean I can get food and drink. Just gotta check how much I have.....
I rummaged around in the pockets of my jacket and found £6.76. That's odd, I remember grabbing £10...
Oh no, pleeaaase don't tell me I dropped some in the bushes! "Nooooo." I groaned, burying my face in my hands. That money could of meant an extra meal.
Suddenly, I felt something wet on my nose.
Rain?
I held out my hands, no more drops. I took out my phone, which was only on 20%; dozens of missed calls. I checked my face.
I was shocked to see my red eyes and the water rolling down my face; I was... crying?
But I don't cry! I won't! I hastily wiped my face and continued to walk this torturous journey, only motivated by the thought of a fresh, cool glass of (any drink) and (any breakfast food).
2.5 hours later..
I finally arrived in the city. All I wanted to do was collapse and sleep, but sleep meant vulnerability in this place, I had to find somewhere safe first.
My plan:
Today; eat, drink, find my way around this little area, rest.
Tomorrow; find a job
The day after;...... Well, I guess what happens, happens. I looked around at the busy street as cars rushed along the road, traffic lights flashing red every so often as people with places to be hurried across as well as those with no where to be.

So so sorry it took so long! 😰😰 last time I checked, this story only had 3 reads so I didn't worry about updating too much but jeez.. I'm so sorry! I was gonna make this chapter longer but I might as well publish it now.
