.VI.
Odilia's point of view:-
'RISE AND SHINE, FOOL!' I screamed at Elias at the top of my voice. He jumped and fell out of the bed, which made me laugh like a hyena.
'Which kind of witch possessed you?' he mumbled sleepily. His voice was raspy and his tousled brown hair made me want to pull it while he moaned my name.
You're being desperate, Odilia...
Shut it. I am not being desperate.
Uh-huh. You'reimagining doing sinful things...
SHUT IT!
Odilia, you're talking to yourself...
'You alright?' Elias asked me, rubbing his eyes. Those gorgeous eyes. I could stare into them...
You're reeking of desperation...
'Perfect. It's time for our first lesson.' I clapped my hands. He stood up, half-dazed and I dragged him towards the small stream. The water was clean, but not enough to drink. If it was my lucky day, I would see some small fishes swimming in the deeper parts of the water.
'First lesson, Elias. You should know just by looking if the water is clean enough to be consumed. Now, go ahead and give your judgement.' The water was pristine clear and you could easily see the bed of the river inside it.
'Err, it is safe to drink since it's very clear. And not to mention, look at those fishes. They are found in clear water, right?' He spoke as if I asked him Latin. Why does he not know basic knowledge?
'You do realize that fishes also live in seas and they are highly salty, right?' Elias blushed at the comment and breathed out. He was definitely embarrassed. I let out a small laugh.
'Well, look at the green deposits near the bed on the other side. The water erodes the path, but some parts are not even touched. That green stuff is called alga and it's... not exactly the safest thing. So, the clear water is good enough to bathe in and washing face, but stick to hot water when drinking. No hot water from any ground springs, okay? They have dirt in them.' I spoke out. He just nodded and blinked his eyes.
'Can I take a bath? I feel sticky everywhere...' I nodded and turned around, to give him privacy. At least he shares my opinions on personal hygiene. I can never go a day without a refreshing bath.
Wait, he needs clothes too. I turned back around to ask him but my voice got stuck in my throat. His back was toned, with a hint of muscles protruding out. My eyes rake over him shamelessly and stop at the base of his back. He had two cute, little dimples.
He couldn't get any more adorable.
Before I could go any further, a pair of soft hands covered it, making me frown. I was enjoying this but no, he had to ruin the mood.
'I like my privacy if you don't mind.' He stuttered out, making me blush and I ran towards the cave. Thank God, he didn't see me swooning me over his dimples.
This is the start, Elias. I way more perverted than that and I'll make you mine...
Blaine's point of view:-
She's a weird woman, that I am sure about...
She was shamelessly checking me out and at that moment, I have never felt more self-conscious in my entire life. I wasn't the one for relationships. Only those women I had been forced to court, thanks to my mother.
Even during that time, there was a strict 'no-kissing' rule I had. It might be weird but I've always wanted my first kiss to be with someone I actually loved or at least liked.
Gosh, I sound like a girl...
After taking a much-needed bath in the stream, I looked around and found a pair of tattered clothes. She must've taken my old ones to wash them.
Walking towards the cave, I see her sitting on the big boulder I found her shoes on and playing with a bow and a quiver of arrows. Then she kept them down and took a deep breath.
So, she can do archery...
I sneaked up on her to scare her for checking me out but she didn't even move. She just sat still, and then suddenly fell down from the boulder without any sound.
Looking at her, I screamed and rushed to help her. I turned her around so she was facing me, and noticed blood running down her forehead. I tore the sleeve of my shirt and wrapped it tightly around her head to stop the bleeding.
Thank God for Peter teaching me first-aid...
I tried picking her up but failed miserably. This woman is seriously wounding my manliness. It hasn't been even one day since we've met and she has bossed me around and now, I can't even pick her up.
It's just 4 feet away. I can just drag her...
I can't. If she finds out I dragged her, I will be fed to the wild animals, and no one will ever know. Now arises the toughest question. Should I drag her or pick her up like a gentleman and lay her down?
Blaine, this woman lives in a cave. She doesn't know how a man should be...
That's a good point. She might as well let me if I touched her wrongly, even if it wasn't intentional.
Dragging away, it is.
I half-dragged,half-picked her up, since my mother raised a gentleman, and lay her down on the bed. She wore a shirt and pair of pants, and I don't think I have ever seen any other woman wearing such an outrageous outfit. I can only assure myself that she doesn't even like men.
Women dress pretty for men, right? And they do household stuff, like taking care of the house, or washing clothes, or cooking food. They don't do archery or take baths in water streams out in the wild. And biggest of all, they don't live in caves in the middle of nowhere!
I tried to search for water or food around in the small, comfy space and found containers having delicacies that only royals ate. They were intricately designed in the shape of... some royal crest? I could vaguely remember seeing it somewhere.
Does she bake? At least she can cook food...
I counted the number of cookies and found about 28 of them. I ate 3 of them and kept it safely tucked where I found it. I don't have a death wish or anything. I looked at her sleeping form and checked for her temperature.
Seems alright.
I searched the entire place to find some sort of clean cloth to wipe off the blood but only found shirts and pants.
Seriously, does this woman have no dresses? Who is she?
I took a walk outside to occupy myself when I just realised.
What is her name?
Common courtesy doesn't even exist. I told her my name, shook hands with her but she, she did nothing. I went back to the river I took a bath in and watched some of the fishes swimming around.
You can do this, Blaine. You've done this many times and you can do it again.
I took a deep breath, took one of the arrows I stole earlier from the woman and aimed at one of the fishes. Squinting my eyes in the bright sun, I bluffed thrice and finally, threw it.
Bull's eye!
The arrow hit the fish straight in the eye and it lay down still in the water. I retrieved the arrow and the fish and continued doing so till I had at least 6 of them.
Woman, you better thank me for lunch...

So, Odilia is unconscious and Blaine (Elias) has to cook the lunch. Will any disaster come or will he be able to prove himself to the woman. Stay tuned.
