Dot and I came across the hill and I immediately stopped, " dot do you know what this means?!" I asked her. " mommy look it's a herd !" she exclaimed. " yes now we can't approach them running. we need to walk over to them." I told her. " okay mommy ". we walked over to where the herd was laying. the leader approached us " who are you?" he snorted. " I'm Phoenix and this is Dot we were looking for a herd we mean no harm" I told him. " ok well I'm storm and this here is my foal stormy" he said looking down at his jet black foal. " if you follow me I'll introduce you to the other members of the herd" he said walking off the the herd, we followed closely behind. " this is dusty" he said pointing to a cream quarter horse, by the looks of it she was an old mare. " nice to meet you dusty." dot and I said. he continued walking dot and I followed. " these two stallions are rocky and Sampson, dusty's foals." they walked over to us. " hello rocky and Sampson" dot and I said " they both replied with "hey" and ran off. " sorry about them they're kinda crazy kids" storm said. " that's okay" I said. " now these are dusty's other two younger foals Cody and Kylie ." he said. " hello you two" I said. " we'll that's all of us" storm said. I let dot go play with the other foals while I talked to our new herd. I trotted over to dusty. " hello my sweet I remember when I had that much energy to trot that fast" she told me. " haha yeah well dot keeps me on my hooves that's for sure" I turned and looked at dot having fun with the other foals. " well how was your walk Phoenix?" she asked. " well I've been looking for a herd ever since I was a foal myself, my family was taken I don't know where they are, so I was taken in by a mare named Dakota but she passed away when I was just a young mare, then I found cloud and dot and dots mom ran away I don't know where she is so I took dot in hopefully she likes it with me." I told her. " I'm sure she does dear, I'd like you if you took me in that was a good thing to do so many young foals with no mother and father such a shame." dusty said.
