I continued the long trek it was already starting to become dark. " great just my luck" I thought to myself. I stopped on the path. " wait that can't be!!" I said. " other horses?!" I ran down the mountain and approached the other horses. " Hello?" I said to the Mare and foal. " Hello Phoenix", the mare said. " Mommy look it's her, it's really her !!" the foal said excited. " how do you guys know my name?" I asked. " we're Dakotas family, she told us to wait for you down here, we knew you were coming but I didn't think it was gonna be this soon." the mare said. " what are your guys names ?" I asked the new mare and foal. " I'm dot" the little foal said " & I'm cloud. now come we need to find a place to rest for the night." cloud said. I walked with cloud and dot down the mountain side, when we came across a little slope we decided that's where we would rest. Dot laid down in the corner of the area, " mommy are you gonna sleep?" she asked her mom. " no sweetie I'm going to let Phoenix sleep tonight." she told her. I laid next to dot keeping her warm, she soon fell asleep with her head laying on my back. I soon too fell asleep. In the morning I was waken up by cloud and dot. " Phoenix can we go play ?" dot asked. I got up and trotted down to her. "sure dot" . I told her. We trotted to a clearing and we started to run around together, I was starting to like these new horses, I didn't want to tell them this because I just met them. " Phoenix where's your family ?" dot asked me nuzzling into my coat. " I don't have a family dot, I'm all alone." I told her. " well you have me and my mommy to be with." she told me now running in circles around me. " alright dot lets go back to your mom." I told her nudging her.
