I woke up five minutes early to avoid mom's boy toy but unfortunately he was there right at the window in the kitchen with a cigar in between his lips and a lighter on the kitchen island.

He turned to me with a bored expression through his stick out the window and approached me.

"I told you to stop running down those stairs with heels. " he says with his breath like smoke - a smell I always liked. But I never tried smoking for a hobby. I've done once or twice but out of curiosity.

" And I remember telling you that you can't tell me what to do. " I snap getting my apple from the fridge. I like my apples cold.

I strut out of the kitchen and I hear him call out." Nice skirt. " My skirt is extra short for school today. I go back in up the stairs and put on my converse.

I run down again this time with a white converse and I see Val laughing with him. He nods toward me." Better. The shoes. "

" Whatever. " I notice that he has a new stick between his lips. I take it when he removes it to puff. I put in in my mouth take a drag and puff in his face. Valerie chuckles. Then I strut out." Bye Colin. "

Val came after me. Jumping into my car then we drive away. When we get to school Val hurries to her friend whose name I can't still remember it's either Violet or Hannah or she may be the Gloria but she looks like a Serena oh well. If you're not useful then your name's not gonna be in that little file in my brain.

I head to class and Addy finds me there as I'm going through my notes. So no I'm not a bimbo but I'm pretty terrible at math.

"So about that jacket. " she begins.

" I'm not telling you. " I tell before she can go further with the investigation.

" Well who ever it is you like that person. I saw the blush in your cheeks." she's smiling wildly. Everyone has flaws and her's is being nosy.

Well everyone has a flaw except the blonde cheerleader. On cliché terms though.

"First the blonde cheerleader does not blush. Second I don't like him. "

" So it's a him. " she wiggles her eyebrows and I curse silently for not being able to do that. I can move my nose, I can move my lips and my ears but I can't wiggle my eyebrows only raise them.

" Obviously. You of all people should know that I'm straight since you said I like the person. "

" Come on. Tell me. " she pleads.

" Sorry. I don't meet and tell. " I tease.

The teacher comes in and gives a boring lecture and I find myself worrying about Seth because he's absent today. But I find out that Nathan is actually in my classes but I never noticed. We didn't speak though - he didn't even glance my way which I had to admit hurt. Every guy looks at me like every single one of those lackeys.

I slumped my shoulders in defeat.

On our way to the cafeteria, I saw Seth with Hailey under those stairs again. So that's he's new spot for the ugly ones.

"He'll come around." Angela my fake friend tells me. She's usually quiet because we don't get along. She's the one who competed with me for the cheer captain spot. She's a blonde too.

We fought during that period because she felt she was better. But the seniors begged to differ turns out sleeping with the captain of the foot ball team doesn't do much.

During lunch a girl from our team runs up to us and makes an announcement that left me phased.

"Guys Seth's pummeling a nerd out at the field. " she runs back toward that direction and everyone in the cafeteria leaves. Except me and two others who are stealing their mate's fries.

I leave slowly and two minutes later arrive at the field and everyone's up on the bleachers. While the two blue eyed hotties are raging. Seth punches Nathan in the guts and Nathan returns a blow just as deadly to Seth's face immediately damaging his good side.

I hurry to them and stand in between. I shoot Seth a death glare. "What the fuck? Seth."

Yes it had to be cliché.

"He hit me. The nerd hit me. "

" You hit him first Seth. I saw it. " But that does not stop me from going over to see how bad it was. Nothing too serious. A small bruise which would need a band-aid but that was it. It may leave a mark though.

" Nothing too serious. " I say as my hand leaves his face."Go." My gaze is still fixed on him. His blue eyes glistening.

He hesitates but eventually leaves. I turn to the crowd. They get the message and follow behind him. It's good to have power. Once the last person is gone I pull Nathan with me toward the lockers.

I lean on one of the lockers and pull out his jacket from my bag pack.

"I hope you're not hurt. " I tell him as he winces a little.

"No. Just pains. I'm sure they'll be gone by tomorrow." he smiles. "It was nice of you to control your boyfriend over there."

"Is that your way of finding out if we're dating?" I ask smiling.

"Sadly yes. I haven't been very skillful with pick up lines." he chuckles.

" Thank God I'm not a fan of pick up lines. But no he's not my boyfriend. And I think you could have handled yourself. "

" Well it's a miracle you're single. "

" Here thanks for the jacket yesterday. " I say handing it to him.

" You're welcome. But keep it. It looks better on you anyways. " he smiles.

" Really? " he nods." Thanks. "

" No problem. "

Just then his friend the girl from yesterday comes up to us trying in every way to avoid me and tugs in his sleeve.

" Your mom's here. " she said to him in a hushed tone but I heard her.

" You called my mom? " he asked in a tone that was in no way hushed. He was flustered and angry?

" I'm sorry. I didn't know what else to do. Are you okay? " she asks him with that look and I know that look anywhere. It's that same look that John gave to Cher in Clueless. And you know why I remember those looks?

Because it's the look dad gives to mom despite all their cheating and also because the other one in the relationship is always clueless. He loves her and she's clueless.

"Fine. Stephanie helped me anyways. That reminds me. Stephanie meet Uriel. Uriel, Stephanie. "

She smiles at me and from the way she does, it doesn't reach her eyes, I know it's faker than her blue eyes. She's wearing contacts.

" Hey. " I say in friendly way for Nathan's sake.

" Hi. " she says and turns back to him. Her hair hit my eye. Nathan takes note of this and apologizes silently. She's jealous and I'll fuel it.

When he's about to go I pull him and back and bat my lashes a little bit not in that scary stalker way. Then I reach up and kiss his cheek leaving a print of my red lipstick there. He goes red and his colour almost matches the lipstick.

On their way I see her try to reach up to clean it but he pushes her hand away. I smile in victory.

I head to the nurse's office for two reasons the first is to skip gym because I'm not seeing that cougar today and the second is to see Seth.

"Hey. Done with lover boy? " he asks as he sees me.

" First of all that stung and second there's nothing between I and Nathan. " I sit by him.

" Since when do you remember names" he says while playing with a ring on his finger.

"Since I wanted to. Besides the only reason I know him is because he was there when you weren't he saw me crying yesterday and he offered to help. If not I'm sure I'll graduate and not know he existed. " I explain sighing at the end.

" I don't like him with you. " he says more to himself I think.

" You were the one with fatty and then the teacher and then the Hailey. And then there's that damn staircase." I snort. "That was where we first made out Seth and you bring the ugly ones there. It hurts."  That was why I couldn't stand them. He violated our spot.

" Fine baby I'm sorry. " He says touching my face.

" Whatever. What's going with you and them? " I look him in the eyes and he lowers his head.

Silence.

How I hate that sound.

" I thought so. " I stood up and left the room. If he wasn't going to talk then fine. I'm not going to be that bimbo who falls at the bad boy's feet.

Through out the day he avoided me and I didn't see Nathan or his friend again and then it was time for practice. A time the girls dread but I happen to like it because I don't go to the gym at all so it's my time to burn some calories.

I change into my sweat pants and bra top in the locker room and I meet Addy in the gym stretching with some of the girls while others are lazing about or are still changing.

Val is practising her flips along with her friend who's encouraging her. I can see it already... Captain and Co - captain.

I assemble them and tell them to start doing the routine that we've been practicing for the competitions.

We start with dancing first. Simply just moving around and doing some cartwheels. Then two girls come together with one in the middle and they lift her in the air and throw her. She does a double flip and lands back in their arms.

They do it again but this time it's three groups with Addy in the middle and I and Amy - no not fat ass Amy, throw her in the air. She does a double flip and falls back.

They form two pyramids with Val and that girl who's observant on the top. Then when they dismantle Amy and Addy lift me to the top of the pyramid. Just as the song ends Nathan and two little girls who looked about seven and five entered the gym.

I was let down and I gestured for him to wait for me because I'm sure I smell like sweat and hardwork and that smell is horrible let me just tell you. I head to the locker room and get a quick shower. When in done I put my clothes back on and stuff the sweaty ones into my bag. I put on my makeup really quick and put my hair up in a simple bun.

When I come out he looks surprised. And I raise one brow in question.

"You look nice... I mean...... Beautiful.... Hot. " he complements.

" Well thank you. "I chuckle.

" Um.... These are my sisters Gayle and Anias. "

"Wow . So cute." I bend down and touch Gayle's hair. "Lovely braids. Who made them? "

"Ani." she smiles. "She can do yours if you want."

I turn to Anias." Will you?" and she nods.

"You're hair clip is pretty. " she complements shyly and I instantly know that of the two Anias is the shy one and she's also the older one.

" Are you Nathan's girlfriend? " Gayle's asks. I look up at him and see the flush in his cheeks.

" Um... I think Nathan is about to hyperventilate so let's go outside." I laugh and just then the girls start leaving the locker rooms. Yes the gym was empty except for the four of us. I would never let the girls see that children loving part of me..... And yet I let Nathan see it. Well he'll never use it to my disadvantage so...

"So what are you doing here at this time anyway. With your sisters. Very pretty sisters might I add. " I see his siblings' eyes light up at the compliment.

" Well my mom came and the principal wanted to know what happened. I told him and mom wanted to leave but I wanted to see how you were doing and when the girls heard that you were at cheer practice they instantly fell in love with you. Mom left her car though. "

" That's sweet of you, checking in on me. You've got guts nerd. I'll tell you that. Lucky for you I find it cute." I flirted. I'm a flirt sometimes okay I can't help it. It comes with the hair and pompoms.

"Well this over confident nerd wonders if this beautiful blonde cheerleader would take a chance on him and go on a date with him?." he smiles.

I grin. "Saturday. I'll pick you up. 9 pm. Dress casual." I kiss him on the cheek  and strut to my car.

Val is already there waiting. She grins madly when she sees me and Addy is in the back seat.

We drive away and when I'm on the road the questions start rolling because I have a curious sister and a nosy best friend. I also have a date Saturday.

The blonde cheerleader has a date with the nerd, what a story this is turning out to be.

So my school is closed down for God knows how long because of some terrible things which I will inform you about later.
Well it's good and bad because now boredom is killing me and it's good because I can read books and update my stories.

So I was wondering if I should do those question things after the chapter or not. It could be questions about the story or life in general. So comment and let me know if it's a good idea. Yay or nay?

The terrible things I mentioned earlier was the death of three girls in my school - I'm in secondary school by the way. That's high school. The death was due to bad water which we were told was clean and drinkable. 50 people were hospitalised and I'm not one of them which I'm happy about. I drink only bottled water in school. And if you didn't read the earlier notes I'm in boarding school so that's how the water affected us.

Sorry for my long note which may be my longest ever but this is important to me. This chapter is dedicated to the three girls that died. May their souls rest in peace. Amen.
