The rose Clark looks at, A. K. A. Osiria Twilight Rose

"What?" I replied, my voice cracking and I wiped away my tears. Turning around I saw Clark. I smiled at the sight of him but quickly frowned. "You can't be here! A guard will come and you're going to get yourself killed with me!" I said and started crying again.
I heard the cell door unlock and felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me. "It'll all be okay, mon chiot" I leaned into his chest, inhaling the comforting lavender scent. Mon chiot was his nickname for me. Being half-French (and half African), he decided to give me a French nickname: Mon chiot, which is French for my puppy. "I was supposed to be here on guard duty during the day. Now, tell me what happened, what are you doing here?" He asked softly, gently wiping away my tears with his thumb.
After I explained to him what happened, he was silent for a moment before he spoke. "They're not kill you. We're going to get you out of here."
"W-What?" I stuttered. "How?"
"At midnight I'll come get you when mostly everyone is sleeping and we'll go to my Aunt's house, where you'll be safe."
"Okay." I said and he kissed me deeply.
He said, "Until midnight" and left.
The second he left I became scared and worried again. What if something happens and he can't come and I'm left to die?! What if he doesn't come?! What if they move me to another cell?! Negative thoughts were constantly going around in my head until I was startled by the guard sliding in a paper plate sliding in with my dinner, which consisted of orange mashed potatoes and some kind of hoop with a cup of water. When did my guard get here? How will me and Clark escape with a guard on duty?!
I tried to eat, but I was too worried, plus, it looked disgusting. I'm a princess, I'm used to fancy food, not garbage for dinner.
Laying down on the bed I wrapped the thin blanket around myself and tried to fall asleep, I can't be falling asleep when I'm on the run. I was shivering and curled into a ball. Eventually I fell asleep and I woke up to a thud. Looking around I saw the guard lying on the ground while sucking his thumb. What happened to him?
Looking out the small barred window, the night sky was filled with millions of stars and I wondered where Clark was. It had to be close to midnight. I wasn't too scared to sleep for the rest of the night. What if whoever did that to the guard comes back to kill me while I'm sleeping?!A few hours later, I saw a man's figure walking toward my cell. Scared that this was the man who had knocked out the guard and was here to hurt me, I tried to hide in a corner, with no such luck.
"Venetia?" He whispered.
"Yeah?" I replied, recognizing Clarks' voice. I quickly stood up and approached the door as Clark unlocked it.
I ran into his arms, relieved that he wasn't someone who wanted to hurt me. Surprised, he was silent for a moment before he kissed the top of my head and said, "Let's go, mon chiot". Taking my hand, he led me toward the stone stairwell. "We'll go to the stables where Bahadur'll take us to my Aunts' house."
"Who's Bahadur?"
Suddenly I heard a groan from behind us. The guard! I turned around just in time to see the guard throw a left hook at Clark's head, his head jerking forward as he stumbled.
The guard quickly grabbed my arm tightly and I read name tag the name tag on his puke green uniform, Maggrath. "You're not going anywhere, traitor!" He said and smiled and he guided me back toward the cell as he unhooked the keys from his belt.
I tried to push him away, but he was too strong, so instead I kicked him in the balls and he let go of the keys as he grunted. Loosening his grip on my arm, I ran back towards the spiral stairwell. Clark shoved Maggrath into a cell and locked the door.
I hitched up my dress and Clark and I ran up the stairs as Maggrath yelled, "SHE'S ESCAPED! THE IMPOSTER HAS ESCAPED!HELP!"
"Won't somebody hear him?" I asked Clark.
"Not until we're long gone." He said comfortingly.
"Are you sure?" I pressed.
"Nope."
Well that's comforting. It's not like his cries can be heard by others who will spread the word and then send the entire Royal army looking for me.
When we reached the the wooden door at the top of the stairs we could still hear Maggrath's voice echoing up and down the stairwell. Clark slowly creaked open the door and poked his head out.
"Come on, the coast is clear." He said as he took my hand, leading me through the kitchen to the rose filled garden. Clark stopped at one particular rose which had dark red outer petals and the inside of the petals were the same hue of dark red on one side and had an ombré of going from yellow to orange.
Suddenly I heard a funny sounding gunshot. Turning, I saw that it was Levy and he had a gun aimed at me. Instead of a bullet exiting the gun, there was a net. A net falling directly above me.
