Levy's POV

I finish up my tea and leave the bakery as I walk around the square with Sunshine next to me. We look around for a place to stay for the night before we head off to the next town. We find an inn that allows pets. I walk in and smile at the person at the front.

"Hello! I would like a room please," I say to him.

"Of course. Here is your room key," he tells me as I grab it. "Have a great stay."

"Thanks," I say as I smile and head to my room.

I get in and close the door behind me and I sigh. Sunshine curls up onto the bed and sleeps. I smile a si get ready for bed myself. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I will be ready to face them challenges I have to face! I yawn as I climb into bed and fall asleep.

Gajeel's POV

I sit on an inn roof. I watch the town turn dark. I look up at the stars as they glisten in the night. I always find peace at night. It's quiet and beautiful. Ya can see all of the stars in the universe. I get ready for another rough night as I close my eyes. Lily curls up on my chest as we falls asleep.

(LE TIME SKIP TA LE MORNING)

Levy's POV

I open my eyes as the sun comes through the window in my room. I yawn and stretch as I get out of bed. Sunshine is still asleep on the bed. I smile and go to the bathroom. I get freshen up and come out. I pet Sunshine and take a loaf of bread out. I split it in half and eat one. Sunshine opens her eyes up as I give her the other half. She wags her tail and eats it happily. I gather my things together and leave the room with Sunshine next to me.  I pay and leave the inn. The streets are not so busy in the mornings. I hum as I walk around the streets. Sunshine paddles next to me. I hear a crash from the alley next to me and I peak in. I see a tall man knock the other man out. His raven black hair falls down his back. He stands up and put his sword back into its holder. I lightly gasp as I see his ruby red eyes. They glisten in the dark alley. I hide behind the building as he looks towards me. What is this feeling? Why is my heart beating fast? I hear a meow and I look down to see a black cat with white on his paws and around his mouth. He have a crescent scar over his left eye. Sunshine sniffs the cat, then licks him. I pick the cat up as he purrs. A shadow looms over me and I look up to see the same man from the alley standing there.

"What are ya doing with my cat," he ask.

"Oh, sorry. You can have him back," I say as I hold him out to him.

He grabs his cat. Sunshine barks and then sniffs him. She wags her tail and does her version of a smile at him.

"What's yer dog's name," he ask me.

"Sunshine. What did you name your cat?"

"Pantherlily. Lily for short," he tells me.

"That's a nice name. Anyway. I better got. Nice meeting you," I say as I turn and start to walk away.

"Ya shouldn't be alone 'round here. People usually jump people," he says as I stop walking away and look at him. "I can guide ya to yer destination."

"And why should I trust you," I ask him.

"Name's Gajeel Redfox. My father is Metalicana Redfox. Ya know the famous guard for the king and queen," he says.

"Now that you mention it, you do look like him," I say.

"So what do ya say Shrimp?"

"My name is Levy!!"

"I like Shrimp better," Gajeel says as Lily chills on his head.

"Where is your father? And why does it look like you live in the streets?"

"I'll tell ya on the way to her destination," he tells me.

"Alright. I'm going to the train station," I tell him.

"Sounds interesting. Don't ya usually walk to the next town," he ask me as we start heading towards the train station.

"Yes, but I must head home. My Grandfather wants to see me," I tell him. "So what happen to your father?"

"He disappeared about 7 years ago. Some people were after him so he had to leave. Left me with his sword to defend myself and my mum. We flee and they burned our house down. Been looking for my dad while my mum stayed with a friend until I find him and stop 'em from coming after us," he tells me.

"Oh ok."

We continue to walk in a comfortable silence. We soon reach the train station.

"Well I better get going Shrimp," Gajeel tells me.

He turns to leave when Sunshine barks and holds onto his pants, not letting him go. He looks at her.

"Can ya get yer dog off of me," Gajeel ask as he points at Sunshine.

An idea pops in my head as I look at Gajeel.

"How about you come with us? You can look for your father at the different towns we go to and you can protect me until I get home," I say. "It's a win-win for the both of us."

Gajeel stops and think as I wait for his answer.

"Sounds fair. Though I don't have any money," Gajeel says.

"I can pay for your ticket. Though you have to help me with my performances at the towns we go to."

"Deal. Now let's head out!"
