Nalani couldn't stop laughing as Hridyanshu frowned at Vedanth. Vidha picked up the tissues and started cleaning her shirt. "This isn't funny." Vedanth looked at Hridyanshu and shook his head. "It is funny."
"Ugh, what are you guys doing here in the first place?" Hridyanshu groaned. "The reason why you are here. We are here for the same reason." Hridyanshu closed his eyes as he could feel the mess everywhere.
Atulya walked in with mild surprise. "I heard noises but didn't think it would be this messy." Atulya stepped back as the flour started falling from the kitchen ceiling. "How did you guys manage to do that?"
"It was Vedanth's fault."
"How was it my fault? I wasn't the one who was holding the open packet." Nalani started putting the empty packets away. "It was you who entered unannounced."
"From when we enter kitchen announced?" Vidha and Nalani shared a look before handing the broomsticks to Hridyanshu and Vedant.
"Why are you here?" Hridyanshu asked. "I told you. We are here to see Nalani cook."
"Why do you have to be here to see her cook?"
"Because we never saw her cook in our kitchen. I want to see that live." Hridyanshu stared at Vedanth. "She has prepared food for you all many times."
"Yeah, she did, but it was in Hyderbad and when she was outside India. And we never thought she would be cooking in our rasoi. So stop nitpicking and allow us to stay."
Before Hridyanshu could reply, Nalani answered. "I won't prepare anything if you brothers don't stop arguing. Everyone's waiting in the living room, and you guys are arguing."
"We are not arguing." Nalani gave a stern look. "Forget about it. Clean up the mess while I do my work. And no arguments. You all are cleaning up except Atulya."
Atulya smirked as the brothers and Vidga started cleaning up the kitchen. "How did this happen though?" Atulya asked.
"We came, announced, and our brother was cosying up. We were taken aback and shouted—" Vedanth explained when Vidha interrupted. "You shouted, not me."
"Yeah, whatever. So he was holding the big atta packet, and it hit the ceiling and everywhere possible." Atulya chuckled.
"He just kissed me, Vedanth," Nalani rolled her eyes, and Vedanth gave a dramatic look. "You guys were making out!!! I never want to see you guys making out— Like ever!"
"Stop being dramatic. They are married," Atulya said. "I don't know. It is a bit weird to see you guys cosying up. I don't mind the PDA, but please, no kissing. I need to get around the truth that my brother married my bestfriend," Vidha said.
"Exactly! It's too weird to see these two together. I could only think of how you two argued or fought," Vedanth said.
Hridyanshu and Nalani shared a look before laughing. "I'm not going to stop kissing my husband just because you don't like our PDA."
"Eww." Nalani winked at Hridyanshu while Vidha shook her head. "Just ignore them or close your eyes when they kiss."
"Fine."
"What's happening? Are you guys having fun?" Vrishali walked in with Padmanabh following her behind.
"Yeah. . ."
"So what's the fun about?" Vrishali asked, and her gaze went to Vedanth and Hridyanshu, who were cleaning the floor.
"Did you guys mess with the atta packet?" The siblings looked at each other before they started the story.

Nalani couldn't stop looking at the golden jumkas that Hridyanshu had gifted her to prepare the atta ka halwa.
"There is a story behind it," Hridyanshu replied as he massaged Nalani's feet. Nalani looked at him. They were in Hridyanshu's suite— Their suit. "Story?"
"So when my parents got married. Papa didn't know Ma. You have heard of their story." Nalani nodded. "So when it was her first day in the kitchen. She was asked to prepare a dessert, but Ma didn't know how to cook it. She still doesn't know."
"Okay?" Hridyanshu smiled. "So Ma texted Papa and asked him to come to the kitchen. He left her a note in the morning with his number on it."
"When he walked into the kitchen. He saw Ma standing near the island anxiously. He got to know that she didn't know how to cook. So, he ended up being the one who prepared the dessert. When everyone ate, they started praising her. Papa even gave her chandbalis as a present."
"That's so romantic." Hridyanshu nodded his head in agreement. "It was, and I have always thought about it. So I got these jhumkas so I could one day give them to my wife."
Hridyanshu picked Nalani's hand in his and kissed the back of it. "I love you so much that I can't imagine a day spending away from you."
