The next day,I went to the class and Aiden was absent that day.I felt a bit guilty for arguing with him yesterday as he had an headache.I thought I should apologize to him as he looked upset after fighting with me.Mrs.Newton came to the class and she said she has good news to tell us.

"There are more two weeks for Christmas and we will give holidays for you after next Monday.The prom will be held on Monday and You can go to your homes on Tuesday.We will take you on a trip to the city on Saturday and you can buy things you want for the prom during the trip.I hope you all feel excited"The teacher said smiling.I felt a spark of excitement going through me.

"We have already let your parents know about this and they will send you letters to tell you if they have anything to tell you"she added.

The whole class started to cheer.We haven't had a holiday for four months so the news made me happy but I knew my dad would not let me go to his house.I didn't even know where he lived anymore.He didn't let me come to his house in the holidays before either so I will have to spend my holiday in the school.Some teachers and some servants usually stay in the school during the holiday along with few students who don't go to their houses.I doubted whether anyone would stay here during this Christmas holiday.I suddenly felt lonely.

I wondered if anyone would ask me out for the prom.I wondered Michale liked me enough to ask me out but my inner self kept saying that we barely knew eachother.Finding a prom dress was a problem too.I didn't have much money.I thought that I should skip prom unless someone ask me out.

When the bell rang at 2.30 P.M  , I went for the detention.Mr.John's room's door was open and I went inside without knocking.I didn't expect Mr.John to be there as he wasn't there yesterday.When he heard my footsteps,he looked up and gave me a smile.

"Hi! Anastasia,This is the third day of your detention.Aiden informed me that he won't be able to come to the detention as he is ill.He said he will try to come tomorrow.I see that you two have done a big part in the last two days."Mr.John said and I tried my best to hide my disappointment when he said Aiden would not come .I hated the idea of being alone in that room.Maybe it was good to have Aide's company although he was my enemy.I wondered whether his headache got worse or he didn't come because of our argument.I decided to ask that question from him tomorrow.I missed him.

The next day,Mrs.Newton came to our class.She was our Econ teacher.Aiden was present in the class that day and he was sitting few seats away from me.I stole a glance from him and I realized he was looking at him.He looked so handsome .I found it hard to look away from me but when the teacher cleared her throat ,my eyes shifted to look at her.

"Your class teacher is ill and she went home.I will be your class teacher until the holidays .I thought I don't like how you guys sit in this class and I decided to change the pattern .You will have to take seats the way I want you to from now on."Mrs. Newton said.

I hoped that I won't have to sit in the front row or near Aiden and a part of me desperately wanted to sit near Michale.The teacher had designed a pattern for us to take seats in the class and she called out students' names while pointing her finger towards seats.Unfortunately,the teacher called out Michale's name a long time before she called out mine and he was sitting very far from me.I was wishing that the teacher won't call out Aiden's name after she called out my name.I had also thought about what Aiden said when we were arguing.He had said that he didn't know I was Anastasia when he told the teacher about his idea but it didn't make much sense to me.He didn't know me before and I didn't think anything would have changed ,even if he knew that I was Anastasia.He was also being rude when he came to meet me to tell me to participate in the debate practices.

"Aiden" The teacher said pointing towards the desk next to me and I felt like the world suddenly crashed on me.There was no way this was happening to me.There was smoke on his face when he pulled the chair next to me.We were sitting in the third row and it was hard for me to ignore his presence.When the teacher started talking,everyone stopped talking.

I started to do my homeworks ,after the teacher left and I noticed that Aiden was looking at me.I lifted up my head to look at him.

"Did anyone ask you out for the prom?"He asked surprising me.I could not believe that was the thing that had been on his mind although I confessed that I hate him two days ago.

"Why didn't you come to detention yesterday?"I asked from him without answering his question.

"My headache got worse.I went to the sickroom and the doctor told me to rest until I am all right so I could not come."he said, and I nodded.I started doing my homeworks again .

"You didn't answer my question"Aiden said.

"No,no one has asked me out yet.Does that make you happy?"I asked.

"Are you hoping that Michale will?"He asked and his eyes were set on Michale.The question kind of caught me off guard.I felt my cheeks burning.I probably looked like a tomato.

"Well...He won't "I told him .He probably overheard my conversation with Rachel when I said that I like him but I was starting to feel like Michale only saw me as a person who could become a good friend to him.Aiden knowing my secret didn't make me much happy.

"Are you sure?You guys are good friends.I heard Michale saying that he is planning to invite a girl to the prom as a friend of his and I wondered if the friend he mentioned was you."Aiden said and I looked at his face.It looked like he was telling the truth.

"I am sure that it is not me.we are not enough close to be friends"I told him.

"What about you?Who are you going to ask out?" I asked from him because I could not help my curiosity.

"I am planning to ask someone out but I am not sure whether tha girl will like"Aiden said and he was looking down.

"Hey,come on!,No one will turn you down"I told him giving a friendly punch.He smiled but didn't say anything.

"Are you going to ask your girlfriend to come to Italia for this?that is sweet"I told him, and he looked puzzled.

"What girlfriend?"He asked and there was surprise in his voice.

"Your girlfriend"i muttered and Aiden chuckled.

"I don't have a girlfriend"He said.

"Are you sure?" I asked ."There were some rumors about your girlfriend."

"I don't have a one".You must have heard false rumours about me"Aiden firmly said.

"Well,then who is this girl that you want to go to prom with?"I was curious.

"Is she someone from our class?"

"No,She is older than us."I felt a bit disappointed for a reason that I couldn't understand but I decided to hide it

When the bell rang ,I went to my detention.I knew that I wouldn't make any mistakes in my class anytime soon because I actually hated cleaning and I was glad that I had a partner who was also my enemy.Aiden was wearing his uniform neatly as always but there was something in his eyes that betrayed his serious expression on his face.His eyes looked nervous and I wondered why.We started cleaning and Aiden asked me if I knew about the tradition of wearing blue colour heals to the prom in our school.

"Yeah,I heard my friends talking about it yesterday"I said remembering Rachel and Hazel's conversation about it.I wondered why he wanted to talk about this.

"Do you know why there is a tradition like that?"His eyes shined, and I felt like he liked this topic.I shook my head.

"Why?"I asked.

"There is a story about a girl called Ava.She went missing in this school and two days later,her body was found near the forest.Some servants had seen it.Ava was wearing her uniform but she was wearing a pair of blue heals and it caught others' attention because they looked very beautiful but her feet were a lot wounded .They say that Ava's feet got wounded as she danced continuously for two days .The girl's hands ,face and knees were also wounded and the others believed that they were cut by branches of trees while she was dancing.The girl was dead It is a bit unique story"Aiden said excitedly.

"why did she dance until she die?"I felt like it was an odd story .I had never heard of it before.

"They say she went mad"Aiden said and it seemed like he believed that story.

"There are two versions of this story.I never came across the other version of the story here. and the students believe the version of the story that I just told you"

"What is the other version of the story?"

"In the other version of the story,she never went missing.It is said that there was a part of this castle which was under repairing back then and the labors who came to repair it found Ava's body in the end of a staircase in this castle.It is said that she went mad and she danced everywhere in this castle till she fell from a staircase.She hit her head and died because of it.Even In this version of the story,she wore blue heals which caught other's attention"Aiden said.

"she wore blue heals and danced because of madness in both versions of the story"I said .The story amused me.

"But why is that story important?"I could not get why stories about this girl were still alive and there had to be a special reason for that.

"When the girl died,this school became popular because of it and the famous brand called "Blue" was also created as the creator of it was inspired from this story.Anyone in this school know this story."Aiden said but I had never heard of this story from anyone before.Maybe that story was not popular here anymore and it was buried by the time or Maybe she didn't have enough friends here.

We worked a lot that day.We had only one day remained to clean the room and I knew half an hour wasn't enough for that.

"How will we finish cleaning this room tomorrow?I asked.

"Does that matter?"He said behind me.

"Yeah"I turned around and Aiden smirked.

"I have something to ask"The smirk on his face disappeared and he looked a bit nervous.

"Will you go to prome with me?"It was the least expected thing I expected him to ask from me.

"Me?"I gasped from surprise.

"Yeah.you,My nemesis"He said in a soft voice.I knew I would not say no because there was a big chance that Aiden would be the only person to ask this from me.I didn't have an outfit to wear to the prom but I could ask for a one from Hazel or Rachel.

"I will enjoy dancing with you"Aiden added and it seemed like he was losing hope because I was not saying anything.I was too shocked to say anything.maybe I didn't have to hate Aiden and maybe we could even become friends in the near future.

"Is this a yes or no?"

"But you said the girl who you wanted to ask this from is older than us"I said.

"I lied"He smiled shyly.

"Yes,I will go with you"

Aiden's eyes widened from happiness, and he pulled me in to a hug

"and I am really sorry about the things I told you yesterday"

"That is all right.You know the truth now"

Aiden's pov

I was not planning to ask Anastasia to go to prom with me but Michale told me that he asked Rachel to go out with him and I joked about asking an older girl to go to prome with me.I saw the hope in her eyes when I asked her about Michale so I thought about asking her out expecting that this will help her to recover from the lose of her hope she will have to face.I was planning on going to see my ill aunt on Friday and I was going to come back on Saturday evening.I was not going to participate in the trip to the city.My aunt was the person who loved me more than my own mom and I was upset about the fact that she was sick.I was hoping that she would get better.
