The last two weeks have been interesting for the rebellion from the droid army joining their cause to the SkyStrike extraction which even got to Fen Rau about how Ezra trashed the facility with such effectiveness and he hasn't even meet the man himself yet in person. The rebels have been trying to have at least some Mandalorians join their cause. The challenges of ones past will be faced head on. 

Two Mandalorians sat in a rebel cell playing a game of Cubikahd, one a protector and veteran of the clone wars and another who is a rebel. "Sabine who is this Ezra I've heard about from the guards lately?" Fenn Rau asked curiously, "Your talking about Spectre 6 ,  he is a well trained , honest, loyal and selfless.... he has put himself in harms way for the rebellion more than anybody else I know." Sabine said with a slight smile as she played her moved her piece. "I understand that but what kind of warrior is he .. eximperial, another Mandalorian or what because he's gotta have elite training for his skills?" Rau asked little more demanding, "Rau he prefers to tell people when he deems necessary." Sabine replied as Rau beat her at the game. "Rematch" Sabine said and they started again and she remembered what Ezra told her during knife training to be patient and look for exposed weak points and hit them hard. "Where did you get that knife from Sabine." Rau asked, "Ezra gave it to me for a mission but the blade itself is about 4000 years old." She replied as she made a move pinning Rau. "He must have taught you well and is there more to him than just a "friend"?" He replied as he moved his piece eliminating one of hers.  "Rau you know I'll not answer such questions but I know our culture with the Jedi has been rough and brutal but after meeting kanan and now Ezra I believe we can actually work together and not be enemies I hope... I've talked with Ezra about this and he wants to right a new future where Mandalorians and Jedi walk and if the time came to fight along aside each other as friends." She said as she played her move correctly winning the game surprising Rau by how long she's been away from mandalor but only became stronger. 

Meanwhile in the ship Ezra made his way through the blockade runner towards Rau's Cell. Ezra has earned a formidable reputation amongst Phoenix Squadron to the point any other rebel soldier stepped completely to the walls. Ezra neared the last cell door and ordered the two guards away and he can take care of the situation if things get out of hand.  Ezra used the force to quietly deactivate the door and he got comfortable leaning against the side of the door watching the two of them silently. "So your friend wants to mend the past by doing right in the present?" Rau asked still spectacle and both unaware Ezra was over hearing everything. That's when Ezra said "Exactly Rau." , making both Mandalorians look in shock that he was there. "Why do you think that Jedi?" Rau asked leaning back in his bunk looking at the completely camouflaged figure in front of him. "We all must learn to forgive at one point and the Jedi and Mandalorians have been at each other's throats long enough, this war will ether bring us together or further apart Rau." Rau was stunned what he just heard but inside Sabine her heart just was beating so hard and she hid it with just a little smile of hope looking at both men in the room. She thought about what Ezra had learned awhile back and now he is trying to set a new course for old rivals to become allies just like Rex and Kalani. That's when zeb came up behind and said "Hera wants you all in the war room and especially (points at Rau) him." Then he walked off. Ezra cuffed Rau and with him and Sabine as escort. 

Once the three walked inside the war room everyone was waiting on them. After Kalani had joined he had some of his droids be on board security for the rebellion. Rau was a little amazed seeing two B2 super battle droids guarding the door.  

(Time skip to them on concord Dawn after fenn stunned them but he only took Sabines weapons instead)

Ezra stirred and quickly woke up to realize what happened on the shuttle then he looked around to find chopper in front of him and Sabine handcuffed and still asleep. "Sabine wake up!" Ezra told her and she eventually woke up to, "what happened?" She asked as she sat up and rested her head on Ezra's shoulder. Chopper moved to unlock the cuffs but Ezra just used the force and shattered them to tiny little pieces. "You enjoy doing that don't yah Ezra?" Sabine asked with a small smile but still mad at Fenn Rau for betraying them earlier. "Well it's interesting to see how things break apart." He said looking through his helmet at her. "We better find Rau." She said as Ezra got up and later he pulled her up to her feet.  The three got out of the shuttle to and they scanned the area to find Rau on a cliff edge overwatchimg something. 

As Ezra and Sabine slowly climbed up the rocky ground , chopper used his thruster on low. Once they got up there Sabine retrieved her blasters and her knife. Ezra raised his blaster pistol cautiously and demanded Fenn Rau to turn around slowly but he didn't comply. Ezra and Sabine very cautiously made their way to see what Rau was looking at. What they saw sent chills down their backs, the smell of burning flesh , buildings on fire and protector corpses and equipment around the base. "They we're ambushed." Sabine said sadly , "whoever did this didn't have any mercy for your men." Ezra told the protector leader. Rau inside wasn't expecting such a comment from the young man. "You are still sympathetic even though the past Bridger." The former protector responded looking over what was once his home. "We each have lost something Rau and if I wanted to be a ass I would but not with such a history we have between Jedi and Mandalions." The Jedi replied as he holstered his pistol. "And we are at war." Ezra followed up with. 

As the four slowly went through the facility Rau found one of his men's helmets and took his free hand and wiped off the ash from the helmet. "Other mandalorians did this." The remaining protector said in anger. Rau turned to Sabine and in a angry tone said "This wouldn't of happened if you and your rebel friends came here." As he pointed his finger at her. "Rau no other clan would do this especially when your assigned to find the best of our people's warriors." Sabine answered defensively , "I should've just had my men kill you last time you were here." Rau said as he reached for a piece of metal. That's when Ezra drew his pistol and ordered him to stand down, "what do you know boy" Rau snarled as he swung at Sabine but she was quick enough to dodge it but she landed on her back. Ezra dodged the next strike from Rau followed by Ezra answering back with a kick to the chest making him land against the side of one of the burning buildings. Rau lost his grip on the piece of metal rod as Ezra holstered his blaster as he walked up to Rau. Once Ezra was above him he used a single hand to pick up Rau by the  throat and said, "if you ever think about killing her again I'm going to let a few of my buzz droids R.I.P. you apart limb by limb!"  "Your role is supposed to protect the mandalorian people not kill one Another get that through your head again ... I lost my parents and friends due to the empire and I understand your pain."  Sabine who was on the ground seeing the revolution of events from Ezra stepping in being her guardian angel to the one knocking sense into Rau was something she wasn't expecting at all except Ezra saving her from injury. Both men looking eye to eye stayed there for a few seconds before Ezra dropped him. That's when chopper picked up a signal. 

After Chopper located a signal that's  when a imperial probe droid flew up from its hiding spot and Ezra immediately dropped Rau as Sabine got up as she drew her pistols. Ezra ignited both his lightsabers and deflected a series of blaster bolts that would have killed him and Rau. After another quick bust from the droid Ezra used two fingers and threw the droid on the metal landing pad shattering its camera sensor. Sabine put three well placed shots into the droid disabling it permanently. "Do you think it got its transmission out?" Ezra asked as the two looked at the wrecked droid, "We are ether fine or a few Star destroyers are on there way." Sabine replied, "good point... we are leaving." Ezra replied. After hearing this chopper let out a few grumpy beeps followed by him flying to the phantom II. "Rau the empire will not work with you because even association with us means death or torture." Sabine told her fellow mando in concern , "that will not matter since I have the location of your rebel base traitor." Rau said as he turned his back and slowly walked away. Ezra and Sabine bth drew one of their pistols and Ezra set his on semi, "I won't let that happen." Both of them said in sync. 

Once Chopper got there a warning signal was going off and he immediately contacted the others saying the empire is already here. "How could they be here quickly." Ezra asked as both of them lowered their pistols. Sabine looked up to see small jets in the ski, "what are those?" Ezra asking in some confusion , "Worse... mandalorians who serve the empire." Rau said watching the formation of imperial enforcers neared. "Ezra run." Sabine said with concern.  Rau and Sabine went together as Ezra broke off from them.

One by one the imperial super commandos landed followed by a red armored one. The commando walked up to the droid and yelled "Spread out and if you find anyone capture them alive."  The group started their search for whoever just recently killed the droid. 

Ezra sneaked his way avoiding the others till he saw Rau and Sabine hiding from being detected. That's when he rolled one of his buzz gernades towards the two imperial troopers. Once the little gernade hit the foot of the standard white trooper it popped open and crawled up the imperial's leg leaving nasty cuts in his skin and he started trying to wack it and was followed up by a blaster shot that diverted enough attention from the commander to see one of his men starting to be cut open by a buzz droid. Rau and Sabine escaped but as they got further they heard a painful agonizing scream followed by a small explosion. 

Both Ezra and the red commando was thrown back by the concussion as the regular commando turned into red mist. Ezra was slammed against a wall and the commamdo was thrown on the ground. Ezra ordered through his helmet his gear go into lock down so none of his weapons could be removed as the red commando got up and aimed his rifle at the camouflaged figure in his sights. Ezra raised his hands and said " I surrender and who are you?" , "I'm Gar Saxon the imperial viceroy of mandalior (as he takes his helmet off)... take him away and chain him up who ever you are you son of bitch." Saxon replied followed by him and two other commandos stunning him then started dragging him for interrogation. 

Meanwhile on a cliff over looking the scene two mandos were divided on ideas. Sabine watched through her targeting scope as the phantom two was moved followed by chopper being escorted by a commando. "We are going back" Sabine said with determination, "why do you care to go back for Bridger, he's just a pawn ment to be  sacrificed." Rau said with out care , "one he is my friend,  two as a mandalorian we are supposed to be loyal to our friends and three if they get any information about our rebel base even worse." Sabine said as she checked her equipment.  "All I want is revenge due to these traitors making the protectors fall and do you think I really did care about your rebellion." Rau answered un phasesed , "whoever did this you will get your revenge eventually but all I care about is my friends." Sabine said.  

Back in the building Saxon wanted to interrogate the revel he found, things were grim. "Who are you rebel scum and don't play with me boy." Saxon said as Ezra woke up and he looked around to see he was hanging by his hands a few inches off the ground. "I'm a exrebel and I was here for spare parts nothing more." Ezra said lying through his teeth, "I call it a lie (as he drank from a small shot bottle that survived the previous attack on the base)..  you are a rebel scum." Saxon said in annoyance as he smashed the bottle against the back of Ezra's head causing small cuts but Saxon wasn't finished He took some of the glass chunks and forced Ezra to open his mouth by a gut punch. Saxon stuffed glass pieces in his mouth followed by him punching his face furiously with hate.

Once the beating was finished Ezra spat chunks of glass and blood out and his mouth was in pain but he didn't dare give into the dark side at all. "I'm not answering shit you walking piece of red shit." Ezra replied as he was still hanging. "You're a tough a son of bitch aren't you boy, this place was once home to the protectors but I gladly slaughtered them easily due to Fenn Rau's disappearance and the empire knows  Phoenix  Squadron has been using this for hyperspace traffic but I'm impressed." Saxon said as he swung again punching Ezra in the jaw. Both didn't know Rau and Sabine were over hearing the conversation and it was that moment Rau realized how bad the empire was but in Sabines heart she was worried sick about her secret love that she hasn't been able to tell him her feelings due to the war. "Let's  get you a Weapon Rau and get to work." Sabine said, "I like the way you think wren." Rau said as the two quietly snuck away from their hiding spot. 

Sabine drew her blade and sat like a rock as the unsuspecting commando walked by. In a instant she lept up and dug her kinfie into his pressure point with all the blade being forced all the way into the imperial followed by her pulling it out and sending it into his wind pipe as he attempted call for help. Once the trooper was on the ground motionless she sheathed her knife and picked up the imperials jet pack and Rau grabbed the rifle. "If Bridger taught you that I'm impressed." Rau said , "thanks and Ezra is far more formidable than you think, and you're lucky he only thrown you around." Sabine said with a smile under her helmet. 

After a few minutes of more glass chunks and punch's Ezra wasn't surrendering to a fag like Saxon especially for Sabine. In a instant a gernade rolled in and exploded with smoke. Sabine using her thermal vision shot the weight holding Ezra up and as he landed on the ground he broke his cuffs and retrieved his helmet with the force. "Go go go." Sabine said as the three made it out the door as Ezra equipped his helmet. As the three neared the phantom the commandos  surrounded The three of them. "Sabine Wren and what I should have guessed a Jedi." Saxon said Followed by a evil laugh. Rau who was contemplating to leave them till he saw the situation the three were in and as he watched he couldn't believe what happened next. 

Ezra pov 

After Sabine and Saxon talked about her past and I answered honestly about the family problem I made my move as the mandos raised their rifles. 

Ezra with full force slammed the rifle out saxons hand by using the chain followed up by doing the same thing to the other three commandos. The next move Ezra did was spin the chain up to a really high speed and whipped one mando as he moved towards him and he hit him so hard breaking the helmet and killing the commando immediately but brunt force. Sabine drew her knife once again and dodged a charge from Saxon but she rolled over stabbing the other commando in the Kidney and cutting up till mid way through his rib cage. Meanwhile Ezra whacked both of the commandos fist breaking them followed by a hit from the chain into the neck killing that one instantly. 

Saxon and wren walked around each other slowly circling waiting for the next move. Sabine put her knife away and wanted to get her hands dirty, Saxon threw a punch into her gut and she recoiled back from the impact but was stable and she drove a kick into his knee dis locating it followed by a kick to the chest but as she landed the  kick Saxon used another jab and hit her kidney with fury. Saxon was stumbling but before he could draw his pistol on her a weight took him off his feet slamming him on the ground. "Sabine are you okay?" Ezra  yelled as he ran up to her, "yes I'm fine Ezra let's get going... Rau should be in the ship." Sabine said as the door opened for all three to enter but Rau was holding the rifle and raised it to aim into the air. 

As the three made it in they watched as Rau capped another squad of commandos in the air. Once he finished firing and sat down inside chopper lifted off and flew over saxons personal ship and opened fire on it blowing it up into pieces. Saxon on the ground who watched the whole thing go down as the rebels escaped followed by his ship exploding made him furious. 

Meanwhile on the phantom 2 Ezra removed his helmet and sat it beside him as he spat more blood on the floor and groaned in agony. Rau was amazed what they put him through and still be able to kill, that's when Rau said "I'd be glad to join the rebellion and my men would of wanted me to honor them by bringing them justice."  "Welcome to the family." Sabine said as she grabbed a small med kit and opened Ezra's mouth to see the bloody mess of how they tortured him. She slowly applied Bacta cream in his mouth to stop the bleeding and clean the wound just as chopper made the jump to hyperspace. Rau went to the pilot seat and when he looked back he found Ezra asleep on Sabines shoulder and running her fingers through his hair. "Sabine you've never left our culture behind and you're friend was right about everything he had said and he earned my respect." Rau said which Sabine replied with a smile. 

(I forgot to mention once Ezra was inside he unlocked his weapons for use) 

This mission was straining on old wounds of the past and Rau was spectacule especially now after Ezra just killed a few commandos with ease but little did he know he was allying himself with a guardian of the republic.
