Congrats! We have survived the year,
And smiled through the tears,
But I still hold the fears,
To lose someone/something I
hold dear.

Welcoming 2018,
Forgetting how bad 2017 had been,
Forgetting how mean,
How it never made me grin.

Well, it's in the past,
And I'll smile at last.
I can't believe how fast..
The days had passed.

I'll be having a new start.
I'll be the one who refuses to be the target for the dart.
The one who doesn't take insults to the heart.
The one who wants to be whole and not just a part.

I'll not let anyone bring me down,
Nor will anyone make me frown.
In every disastrous wave, I'll never drown.
I'll not let anyone laugh at what I say as if I was a clown.

I'll be brave,
And overcome every disastrous wave,
And won't need someone so that I'll be saved,
And come out of my cave.
