Ruby jolted awake and quickly looked around while hyperventilating. She managed to calm herself down and get in the right state of mind

She saw that she was in her room with Zewi sleeping on her legs. A painful headache soon happened and Ruby yelped a bit loudly. The door soon opened and her dad came in

Tai: Ruby! Are you okay!?

Ruby: I'm fine...... how did I get here

Tai: Zewi came rushing to the house and made me go into the woods. That's when I saw you and I had to carry you back into the house

Ruby: oh

Tai: what were you doing in the woods Ruby and why are you here in the first place! Aren't you supposed to be at beacon right now

Ruby: oh yeah about that I uh....... wanted to see you again

Tai: but why were you in the woods, I told you never go in there alone, you had me worried

Ruby: I.... I was trying to get here quickly because it was getting dark.... yeah that's why

Tai: but you had a bloody nose!

Ruby: I ran straight into a tree

Tai: okay just be careful next time alright

Ruby: okay dad

Tai: I'm gonna make some breakfast I'll call you when it's done

She nodded and he went to the kitchen to cook. She didn't like lying but she didn't want to bring back unpleasant memories to her dad. She got up and saw a golden pendant on the shelf next to her

She grabbed it and it looked at the pendant, curious from where it came from. She opened it and saw a wierd item inside, it looked like a star but couldn't tell what it was

Ruby: huh wierd

She closed it and got up then went downstairs to see her dad setting the table. He noticed her and motioned her to sit down, so she does

Ruby: hey dad when did you get this *shows pendant*

Tai: what do you mean? It's yours isn't it?

Ruby: uhm no I don't think so

Tai: well you were clinging on to that thing for dear life

Ruby: really wierd

Tai: can I see it

She hands it over and he opened it, he takes the star looking item out and sees a name on the pendant. The name says Laurence and Tai started chuckling

Ruby: why are you laughing

Tai: it's just... I haven't heard that name in a long time

Ruby: really who's Laurence?

Tai: he's your grandfather

Ruby: REALLY!? How come I've never heard of him?

Tai: don't know. Summer talked about him, a lot, but whenever I asked if we could visit she'd always said no

Ruby: now that I think about it, I don't know anything about where mom is from! Do you know?

Tai: she did tell us once! She said she was born in a place called Yharnam but was raised at some place called Cainhurst

Ruby: Cainhurst? Where's that?

Tai: I don't know! I've tried looking for it but the place just doesn't exist

Ruby: *disappointed* oh

Tai: she said that a woman named Maria was the one who took care of her at Cainhurst. I tired looking for her but all she gave us was a name, not even what she looked like

Ruby: Maria? That's a pretty average name

Tai: yeah *realization* oh wait here

He got up and made his way upstairs and into his room. Ruby waited, while eating her breakfast, and soon saw her dad come down with a box in his hands. It seemed old and had a wierd symbol on top of it

He handed it to Ruby and she opened it, in the box she sees a small badge, a hat, and a small painting of Summer as a child and an extremely pale woman

Ruby: is this Maria?

Tai: I think so, she never really liked talking about it but, when she did, she always talked about that woman in the picture

She looked at the painting again and the woman, Maria, had Summer on her lap as she gave a delicate smile. Meanwhile Summer had a sweat smile on hers

Ruby: I hope we can meet someday

Tai: all we can do is hope

Ruby then noticed the hat in the box was the same hat that the woman was wearing. She grabbed it and decided to put it on and to her surprise it was a perfect fit

Tai: It looks good on you! Why don't you keep it

Ruby: is that really okay? I mean won't it be disrespectful to take mom's hat

Tai: it would be more disrespectful to let it gather dust

She nodded and continued to look inside the box. She saw the small badge and picked it up but she then had a massive headache. Her nose started bleeding again causing Tai to hurry over to her

Meanwhile Ruby was having and vision but this time it seemed to be a memory. She was in a library and it was the biggest she's ever seen but she then sees a child Summer with the woman from the painting

Summer: WAIT HOW OLD ARE YOU!?

Woman: I'm over 500 years old

Summer: but you look so young

Woman: that is because of my bloodline. In a way I am immortal

Summer: really!? *sadly* so does that mean you'll outlive me

Woman: *sigh* yes. I'll be here long after you've gone

Summer looked down sadly but the woman gave her a head pat with a caring smile

Woman: worry not child. I promise soon after your passing I'll gladly look after your family

All Summer could do was smile and embrace the woman in a big hug

Summer: you promise

Woman: ofcourse I do. I will guide them in the right direction and lead them down a brighter path

Summer: *giggles* thank you Maria

Maria: you must go to bed now, it's dark outside

Summer: but it's always dark outside

Maria: yes but the time is different, now quickly off to bed

Summer nodded and Maria lead her to her room. Her vision then changed to Nora angrily bashing a hooded figure. She then noticed two other hooded people laying on the floor dead

Nora then looks angrily looked at the other person from before who was just watching

Nora: you could've helped you know

???: you rely on me way too much. You need to get through this on your own

Nora: I died way too many times to these three

???: it's for your own good now you'll stop being careless

Nora: you could've helped a bit

???: no you need to do this alone if you're going to be a hunter

As the two continued to argue Ruby noticed something about the guy that Nora was arguing with. His skin was as pale as Maria's skin was. She got closer to him and noticed that his eye was a very dull silver

Nora: (Y/N) why are you so mean

Ruby quickly looked at Nora and then back at the guy who she now suspected to be her brother

(Y/N): Being mean helps you get stronger. Yharnam wasn't a walk in the park the first time

They started arguing again but Ruby decided to inspect the guys even more. She couldn't find anything except the silver eye but as she was about to give up she noticed the red tips barely visible on his hair

They were eventually moving ahead and Ruby tried to follow only to not be able to move. As they got further away Ruby started to panic thinking she'd never see her brother again. So in a last ditch effort she called out to him

Ruby: BIG BROTHER

(Y/N) turned around and didn't see anyone

Nora: you okay *angrily* was one of them still kicking

(Y/N): no it's just....  I thought I heard something nostalgic

Nora: really what was it

(Y/N): ..... it was nothing important

They continued walking and Ruby dropped to her knees seeing her brother walk away from her. After that she suddenly back in her home

Her dad was holding her close and saw that she had woken up

Tai: oh thank Oum you're awake

Ruby: dad I saw him

Tai: him? Who did you see?

Ruby: *crying* I saw him! I saw (Y/N)! I saw big brother

Wow another update after several months. You can thank Seanr122 who told me Obama's last name. Anyway this was more plot building than anything

Also quarantine has got me super bored but it's for the best so stay home. Also Persona 5 story? Should I make one and if so how old is Futaba because I'm not trying to catch a case
