I held my sword up ready for an attack. I was having a little debate with myself. If I let the Warrior attack first I could see what his style of fighting is, but I would have to risk getting hurt.
"Orion, Calix, you guys have long range weapons right?"
"Yeah, why do you ask " Calix answered.
"Well I might be crazy but if I let the Warrior attack we can see what style of fighting he has, you guys would cover for me. Sophia I want you to climb the tree and watch out for any backup the Warrior may have."
"Okay we'll back you up, but promise me you won't die." Orion said. I nodded, time to take the walk of death.
During our brief conversation the Warrior must have been planning his strategy to kill us. I guess lying to him about a woman hit him hard, maybe he has lady troubles. "Hey, bro, i'm sorry we had to trick you it's just that we really needed these weapon things."
The Warrior made a grumbling sound mixed with laughter, "You mortles don't understand what you've done, you have basically signed yourself up for war. But I guess that won't happen if I kill you all first."
As the Warrior finished talking he charged at me just like earlier. I easily side stepped the attack. The warrior pulled back his arm trying to catch me with his one hand.
In the distance I could hear Sophia screaming "Celena watch out for your left side!"
I looked to my left and their was another warrior but smaller. "Shoot down the other warriors!" I shouted back.
The big Warrior sliced at me with his sword but I blocked it. I've never seen someone hold a sword like that so this might be a little difficult. I couldn't see much around myself sense my main focus was on the big Warrior but I could here a shooting of a pistle and the flinging sound of arrows. The arrows zooming past had a flicker of light that almost looked like fire.
This fight needs to end now or someone might die. "Sorry mister lover man, but I really have to get this fight over with." The big Warrior glared at me, I guess he didn't like his nickname.
"What do you want me to call you Scaley or maybe sunshine." At the moment my mind was racing so much that I couldn't even make up proper nicknames.
I gave off a smirk when the Warrior's face was outraged. Blinded by his anger the Warrior made a sloppy jab at me. I turned my sword horizontal and sliced at the Warriors unprotected skin on the kneecap. Immidiatly, the Warrior feel down on one knee from the pain. I no longer felt the confedence in myself.
I hated the idea of causing others pain, but if it's to help my friends I will do anything. "Shoot the big Warrior." I screamed. Orion's arrow hit the Warriors other knee making him unable to get up. I lifted my sword over my head, with my eyes closed.
I let the swords weight take hold of gravity and fall, slicing the Warriors head off. I opened my eyes to see the horrific sight of the Warriors blood all over the place, it was golden just like the other Warriors blood.
The color was diffent from the golden glow of my sword though. My swords golden glow was a darker, richer shade of gold, I guess that helps me tell the difference between a clean sword and a dirty sword.
I wiped the sweat off my forhead and looked back to the tree. Sophia was climbing down from her tree with the help of Calix. "You really don't give any mercy to these monsters do you." Orion said from next to me.
I jumped not noticing he was their,"Well it's not like I wanted to do that."
"You know we got lucky, this stuff doesn't smell at all." Orion said kicking a puddle of the Warriors blood.
I chuckled,"It looks like you guys did a number on the little ones too." I said scanning over the multiple warrior bodies, there had to be at least 6. The temperature had changed throughout our fight, it was now probably 20 degrees hotter.
"Well no use in staying here anymore especially in this blistering sun." I said shading my eyes with my arm.
"Sophia, Calix, are you ready to go now?"
"Yeah we're ready, Sophia and I will be right behind you." Orion nodded walked ahead with me watching out for any hidden Warriors.
"I won't tell them that I saw the fire." I paused "We're you injected?" I whispered. Orion stared at the ground thinking. "All of us are, we've all been injected."
"What do you mean I don't remember being injected with the syrum."
"It must have happend when you were little, that would explain the dreams."He replied.
We stayed silent, how could my parents inject me. "Do you think that Sophia and Calix have been injected too?"
"Most likely I've noticed that they've been whispering to each other alot, kind of like us. In one conversation I heard them talking about not having any dreams and how thankful they were."
"I guess that means that all of us are the same." If all of us were injected that means we were all going to be used in the wars. Who's to say that when we get back we won't have to go to war. We have to make an escape plan when we get back to the room. I wonder if the room will allow us to keep our bags, speaking of bags mine felt really light from all the use of medical supplies and food. I'm not sure how the others are holding out. Calix hit that tree really hard ealier maybe I should check on both him and Soph--
I felt something hard hit my head interrupting my rambling thoughts. I just ran into a tree...... I heard laughing come from behind me, "Sorry Celena but I tried warning you, you wouldn't listen." Calix said buckling over from laughter.
Well I guess Calix isn't hurt at all from earlier. No more then 10 secounds later Calix had tripped over Orion's foot, sending Calix straight into a tree. I tried to stifle my laughter but it got to the point where I couldn't hold it in anymore.
All four of us were going crazy in the middle of a forest laughing as each of us were trying to make the other run into a tree. When the sun was starting to set we all were covered in scratches from the trees rough bark.
"Who would have thought that the greatest fun would be pushing your friends in to trees in attempt to make them fall." Sophia said. I laughed a little more imagining Sophia tackle Orion into a bush.
"Do you guys want to make camp here or do you want to keep going?" I asked. "I can keep going" Sophia said. "Me too" Orion agreed. I waited for Calix to make up his mind, "Sure, why not." We ventured further into the woods passing by our old camp ground.
Every now and then Sophia would make a farting noise and Calix would tell her off for not being lady like. At one point Sophia had made the loudest noise possible, scaring Calix. Let me tell you, that boy has the highest pitched scream in the whole world.
I guess this is what you get when you put a four 13 year olds together. Wait are they even 13. "Um....quick question, how old are you guys?"
"Well I'm 14, born June the 5th." Orion replied
"I'm also 14, I was born On April 20." Sophia said.
"Wait that means your birthday was a couple of days ago right" Calix questioned.
Sophia smiled "yep" "Well then happy late birthday, my birthday is March 17, I'm still older than you. Your next Celena." Calix said happily.
My face went pale, how could I be the youngest, "I haven't had my birthday yet, it's on May 23"
"Awwww look at little Celena, still 13." Calix cooed.
I rolled my eyes "At least I act mature."
Calix laughed "feisty" I sighed knowing I can never truly win an argument with him.
To look on the bright side we were almost to the room entrence. We stopped two times along the way for a food break and bathroom break.
(I don't know why but when ever I think of a bathroom break I always think of Elmo or little kids break dancing next to a bathroom. Sorry, to give you that image, back to the story)
My eyes felt like they were about to drop every now and then. I probably wasn't the only one that was about to give out, seeing as everyone was no longer walking but slugging around.
When I saw the metal wall on a tree I couldn't tell you how happy I was. I walked a little faster to the doors eager to get inside. The wall lifted showing us the old comforts of our little room. I dropped my bag on the floor and ran up to my blue bed. I didn't even bother taking off my shoes.
"Well I guess I know who's tired." Orion chuckled. I picked up one of my blue pillows and threw it at Orion, successfully hitting him in the face. I turned over in my bed putting my other pillow over my head in frustration.
I heard the beds around me creaking, signaling that the others had also gone to bed. My eyes slowly swayed shut, I was then lifted into a non visual dream.
What luck I have.
