The old man looked up at me and smiled on the ground, now I'm no genius but I'm pretty sure old men don't just smile while they're on the ground in the mud.

(Unless you really are an old man and laying in the mud smiling is your hobby, I won't hate on you. ) 

I backed away spotting a stick near by. I made a grab for it and successfully achieved the stick without triping. I heard a thump from behind me I was almost afraid to look, but fear soon took over.
Their was another man there, he was dressed in green armor and was holding a long sharp looking sword. I'm thinking this guy dosent want to be friends. I saw that Orion had missed the sword hit just by a few inches.

The thumping sound was Sophia hitting the back of the ninja guy with a stick. I turned back around to the old man when I heard a breathy whisper, he was angry now. My handle on the stick tightened, to be honest I didn't want to hurt him.

The old man glared at me, with each passing secound his eyes seemed to get red. When the old man's eyes were completely red the turned to slited lines. His arms started to bubble and out grew scales that looked alot like green armur. The old man was no longer a man, he changed into a monster with sharp claws and a real big deadly looking spear.

I wasn't sure if the others were okay so I looked back to them to see if their warriors were turning in to the same horrific monsters. Sure enough they were.

The only thing different was that their monsters were about 10 feet tall while mine looked around 12 or 13 feet tall. It could be the parent of the other warriors.

The "parent warrior" made a mad dash at my left arm in attempt to catch me. He then tried grabbing at me again with his long claws, this process repeated several times. I'm pretty sure that to any onlookers I looked insane jumping around, like I had to much candy.

I think the warrior finally got the hint that he wasn't gonna catch me any time soon so he made a grab for me with both hands. Unfortunately I was so preoccupied with my candy thoughts that I couldn't move out of the way fast enough.

The warrior's claws tore an inch of my flesh off my left arm. If I wasn't in a life or death situation I might have fainted from the sight, so instead of staring at it I pulled my green jacket over it. By now it was obvious that this monster was not gonna leave me alone until one of us dies.

I held my stick out ready for the next attack the monster was going to make. I waited for the warrior to go back to its pattern of slicing at me, when the monster raised its arm for another attack I quickly rolled on the ground underneth of it. The monster, not expecting this, stood confused for a few seconds.

I took the opportunity and hit it in the back with my stick. As my stick made a connection to the warriors back I could here crunching and squealing. The monster was quick to react, when it turned around it back handed me.

I'm pretty sure if me and superman had a race to see who could fly the fastest, I would win. I hit the ground with a hard wack. It took me a while to reassure myself that I was still alive. I groaned, getting up from the mossy ground.

When I looked to my right I could see that Orion was also having a bit of trouble with his warrior. I turned to my left when I heard Sophia cry out in shock. Sophia had also gotten a  deep cut by the warrior she was fighting but it was on her leg, making it harder for her to move.

I don't know what got in to me but when I saw that someone else got hurt while I was around made me mad. I picked my stick back up and walked back to the biggest of warriors. I'm not letting anyone else get hurt. I dragged my stick behind me, tricking the warrior in to thinking that I was hurt badly. The warrior smiled at me swinging his spear around.

I was not playing around now I was set on killing this thing. I hit the spears wooden part with my stick, breaking both objects. Now that my stick was broken I had no weapon, but I could still use the end piece like a daggar. When the warrior charged at me with anger I side stepped it making it run in to a tree.

With my daggar like stick I jabbed it in to the opening of its armur. The monster squealed again collapsed. It was finally over. I retrieved my golden covered stick out of the warriors body. Thats an odd color for blood. I jogged over to Sophia to help her out with her monster.

Now that I knew how to defeat it I had an easier time killing it. Calix's monster seemed to not have as much of a brian as the others so he had already killed it when Sophia and I came over. Orion found his warriors weakness just as we came over to help him. The way he found it was funny though, he had slipped on mud and he grabbed on to the warrior armur to steady himself, in the process he pulled it down. With his stick he punctured a hole into the monster.

Seeing that there was nothing to help with I retrieved our bags that all of us seemed to have dropped in the fight. If we ever have to do that again I'm hoping it's one on the four of us. I set my bag down in front of Sophia, getting out gauze to wrap her leg up. "What are you doing?"she asked.

"I need to treat the cut it could get worse if you dont do anything about." I moved her leg around to see how bad it was, her wound seemed deep but not deep enough for stitches. It didn't take me long to wrap her leg up, but I couldn't go as fast as I used to, after all I still had an inch wound that was located near my top muscles.

I sat on the ground and dug through my bag some more to find a slip of paper. It was all crinkled up from being stuffed in my bag. I opened up the folded slip of paper carefully, making sure not to rip it.

I hope this note gets to you, we begged the government to give this to you. Things on our side have gotten bad, more people are defying the rules and going outside the walls, of course you know the result.........but you know your father and I never go again rules so we're fine. We hope you're doing well, survive for us, ok. We're still moving to another house, the rooms are big. The GLS (Government Learning System) has changed, children can now go to school four days a week. I'm not exactly sure why they've changed it so suddenly but everyone's loving it. Well honey I have to go now, this might be the last time we can contact you. Please do your best. Love you bye
