Phase Two: Complete

Now all he had to do was pick her up and take her to Avalon Creek... And borrow a car, of course, as he didn't have a car yet. Luckily one of his cousins let him borrow theirs for the night.

It was Thursday evening. He drove to 37 Vienna Drive, Juliet's house, to pick her up. He walked to the door and knocked, a light drizzle of rain sprinkling him.

Will opened the door. He raised an eyebrow at the younger teen.

"I'm guessing you're here for Julie." Will stated. Romeo nodded. Will turned and shouted into the house. "Julie, your boyfriend is here!"

Romeo laughed. A pillow was thrown at Will's head, presumably by Julie, causing Romeo to laugh even more. Were siblings always like this? Probably, from what he knew about Ivy, Julie, and Anthony's siblings.

A blushing Juliet appeared. She had her hair up in a high ponytail and was wearing her usual blue headband. She was wearing a blue jacket with a green scarf and blue jeans. She was carrying with her a yellow umbrella.

"Hi," Romeo smiled.

"Hi," Juliet smiled back.

"So... Are you ready?" He asked.

Julie nodded. "Yeah, let's go."

"Have fun, you two! But not too much fun!" Will winked at the two juniors. Juliet blushed even more as she grumbled about her brother.

Romeo opened the passenger side door for Julie who muttered a thank you, still clearly embarrassed. Romeo smiled and hopped into the driver's seat. They were both quiet.

"So who's car is this?" Julie asked after a few minutes of silence.

"It's my cousin Dennis'. He let me borrow it." Romeo told her.

"Yeah, I couldn't really see you in a car like this." Julie admitted.

"Oh yeah? What kind of car could you see me in?" Romeo wondered.

Julie smiled. "Something a bit bigger and probably red."

"Why red?" Romeo wondered. Julie beamed.

"Because I know you love the color red. You're always wearing that red hoodie and I'm pretty sure you mentioned it was your favorite color once." Julie shrugged.

"Well, you're not wrong." Romeo smiled.

Silence fell over the two again, causing awkward tension to build. Romeo reached for the radio.

"Er... Do you want to listen to some music?" Romeo asked. Juliet nodded. Romeo turned the radio on, only for it to play a very familiar song.

And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love if it does not exist.

But darling,
You are the only exception.

It was the song him and Julie had dance to at the Valentine's Day dance. He quickly changed stations. Julie was blushing, clearly she remembered that song too.

"I like this song." Julie said, now that they were at a different station and "The Power of Love" filled the car.

"Yeah I do too. Isn't it from Back to the Future?" Romeo said trying to make conversation. Julie nodded.

Don't take money,
Don't take fame,
Don't take no credit card to ride this train,

Julie bobbed her head to the beat. Romeo smiled. He had picked her up and they were on their way to Avalon Creek.

Phase two: complete.

What exactly is Romeo planning to do? And why is he keeping it such a big secret?
