Phase One: Complete
Romeo took a deep breath as he walked closer to the table he normally sat at. It was now or never. He dashed over, acting excited.
"Juliet! Julie! Julie!" Romeo slid into his usual seat between Julie and Anthony.
"What, Romeo?" She asked. She couldn't help but smile at his excited nature.
"Avalon Creek Community College is showing a certain play this week."
Julie beamed. "Let me guess, it's Shakespeare?"
Romeo pointed his finger as if it were a gun. "Bingo."
"Do I want to try to guess which one?" Julie wondered.
Romeo smirked. "Probably not. Want me just to tell you?"
"Yes, just tell me."
"They are putting on Much Ado About Nothing. I know it's one of your favorites." Romeo remembered.
Julie blushed. "You remembered?"
"Of course!" He said honestly. Romeo paused before deciding to make a joke. "Or I went back through our Skype conversations. One of the two." He smirked. Julie rolled her eyes, unable to wipe the smile or the blush of her face.
"So..." Julie started. "That is very interesting but is there any other reason you're bringing this up?" She asked curiously. Their friends listened intently.
"Er... Do you want to see it with me? You know as friends?" Romeo hadn't meant to sound as awkward as he had ended up sounding. Julie smiled even more.
"Sure, when?" Julie surprised herself and Romeo by saying this.
"Thursday night seems good. We have Friday off after all."
"Sounds great!" Julie stated. Her and Romeo shared a smile.
"So are you two actually going to go on a date? It's about time!" Anthony teased. Julie and Romeo glared at him.
"Shut up." They mumbled in unison. They turned to look at each other, their blushes deepening. Their friends beamed at the teasing material they were being given.
"Well, finally!" Ivy joined in the teasing.
"It's not a date!" Romeo and Juliet screeched in unison. For the second time. It was creepy. Excluding those two everyone at the table burst out laughing.
"Stop it you two!" Eric commanded through his laughter.
Julie could only silently glare at her friends as they laughed. She crossed her arms and let out a 'hmph'. Romeo looked over at her and smiled. His smile faltered only for a moment.
"It's nice that the two of you are going to watch one of Shakespeare's plays. I mean the two of you both are bonding over something geeky you have in common. I don't know... I guess I think that's nice." Mark shrugged. He sounded quite honest.
"It's not that geeky." Julie grumbled. "But, yeah, I guess it is nice." Julie smiled, looking straight into Romeo's green eyes. He smiled back, genuinely.
Everything was going according to plan.
