Ivy's Evil Plans

Hours passed and lunch arrived. Both Julie and Mark were busy with the dance committee so they didn't show up to their usual table. Ivy was the first one there which was a normal occurrence with Eric following behind.

Romeo and Anthony arrived a couple minutes after lunch had started. Romeo sat in Julie's usual spot next to Ivy and Anthony sat in Romeo's spot so he could be next to his best friend.

"So what exactly did you want to talk about about Julie?" Ivy asked as she opened up a carton of chocolate milk.

"I heard that it's a good idea that if you like a girl to talk to their best friend about what impresses them." Romeo stated.

Ivy nodded in understanding. "Ah so you're coming to me because you think that I'll be able to tell you how to get in Julie's pants."

Romeo's face turned red. "Not necessarily like that. I don't mean- it's more innocent than that. I just want to date her."

"Okay I'll help you then. But fair warning if you end up breaking her heart I will light you on fire. They don't call me 'Fire Cracker' for nothing." Ivy's smile has a slightly evil glint to it.

"I thought that was because of your fiery personality." Anthony said.

"Well that's part of it, but there's also the fact that I like to experiment with fire works. I also might have caused a forest fire once but that's debatable."

Romeo looked a little more nervous now that he heard Ivy say that. She wasn't one for empty threats. He gulped.

"I promise not to break Juliet's heart." He told the group honestly.

"Good, now I'll talk. Julie isn't one for love, but you already knew that, so it's going to be difficult to get her to open up to the idea of romance. I have one innocent plan that will make her like you but will most likely get you friend zoned or I have one evil, manipulative plan that will probably help you get to the end goal. Which one do you want to hear?" Her unnerving smile only grew as she spoke.

"Can you tell me the nice plan first?" He asked some what awkwardly. Ivy said it might get him friend zoned but he really didn't want to do an manipulating. It's wrong to mess with someone. His family had raised him to be better than that.

Ivy sighed. "I thought you might say that. Here's the plan: Just be nice to her. Don't flirt, don't ask her out, don't be rude, just be a friend. That will get you on her good side, but it would take more time and probably would end up getting you friend zoned." She told him honestly.

Romeo thought about it. He didn't like the sound of that first plan. Maybe the second one wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.

"What's the other plan?" Romeo questioned. He and Anthony both leaned in slightly. They were both very curious. Eric looked like he was listening too. Ivy smirked.

"First, you keep doing what you're doing. Annoying her in a nice way, hanging out with us, being a flirt, ect. Keep doing that. Then wait until she either gives in and says that she'll go out with you or gets really annoying with you. If it's the first one, take her out and be nice, but that's the lesser likely option. If it's the latter..." Ivy trailed off.

"What if it's the latter?" Romeo asked. Ivy's smirk grew even brighter.

"Stop hanging around her, stop flirting, and only be around her when were with you. Such a sudden shift will drive her crazy. Then she'll think about you, a lot. You'll be in her head. Eventually she'll crack and want you to ask her out. That is when you get a new girlfriend and make Julie jealous. She'll be jealous for a while and hate that you have a girlfriend. That is when you break up. Julie will come to you after the break up and ask you out." Ivy looked proud of her plan. Romeo, Anthony, and Eric all gave her questioning looks.

"Are you sure you're Julie's best friend? It sounds like you just want to toy with her emotions." Romeo stared at Ivy like she was crazy. She glared at him.

"Hey, I know my best friend. My plan is nearly fool proof... It's just not the most moral plan ever. You don't have to listen to me."

"Thanks for the advice, Ivy, but I think I'm going to ask someone else for help." Romeo told her honestly. Ivy shrugged.

"Suit yourself. I have one question for you though. Why do you like Julie? You used to hate her back in middle school. Is it really because she no longer has braces?" Ivy asked. Romeo blushed.

"Um... I kind of always had a crush on her. That was why I was so mean to her. I didn't want anyone to figure it out." He told her honestly.

Ivy just smiled. "You'll get her one of these days. I just know it."

If only Juliet could see what was right in front of her. She needs someone to open up her eyes about him. She didn't know how lucky she was to have a guy like him pine after her. Ivy just knew that he was the right guy for her best friend.
