"Ooh you're playing Mario Kart? Can I play?" Hermione said as soon as she and Will calmed down.

"No." Julie said, not wanting to endure more teasing.

"I think it's our duty to play. After all we have to keep you two out of trouble." Will stated. Hermione nodded.

"That's exactly why I don't want you to play." Julie told them. They raised their eyebrows at her. "That's not what I meant! I meant I don't want anymore of this teasing."

"You know you love us." Hermione giggled.

"Eh... At the moment I'm not really feeling the love." Julie smirked.

"Oh come on, Julie. They're not that bad." Romeo stated.

"You don't have to live with them." Julie mumbled.

"See your future husband likes us! We like you too so there's no need for any dramatic deaths, okay?" Hermione teased. A pillow was thrown in the twelve year old's direction. Julie's face was a very bright red.

"Can we please play? I'll stop teasing you... As much." Will said.

Julie sighed. "Fine, you guys can play."

Hermione and Will high fived as Romeo laughed. Being an only child was certainly a lot different than being a middle child. He had to admit it seemed like fun for the most part.

Daisy and Yoshi joined the game. King Boo was the only one on the red team. They started looking for a new looking for a new level.

"Anything but rainbow road, please." Romeo groaned.

Julie smiled. "Aw but I wanted to kick your butt again."

"You can try to do that on any other level." Romeo told her.

"Calm down with the flirting. We have a game to play!" Hermione told the two.

"Let's just play coconut mall. That should be easy enough for Romeo." Julie teased.

Romeo stuck out his tongue at Julie. Julie mirrored the action back to him. Will rolled eyes at the two younger teens.

"Let's just get to playing the game, lovebirds."

This game ended with Julie in first, Will in second, Hermione in sixth, and Romeo in ninth.

"Romeo, it appears your not as good as you think you are at this game as you think you are." Julie smirked.

"Next game I swear."

So the night went on and eventually Romeo had to go home.

"Well, this was a lot of fun but I think I better get going. See you two." Romeo waved goodbye to Will and Hermione.

"Bye, Romeo! You know you should come over more often." Hermione told him. Romeo smiled.

"I'll keep that in mind."

"As long as the two of you aren't spending too much time alone in Julie's room, I'm fine with that." Will said.

"Er... Okay then?" Romeo exited the room with Julie tailing behind.

"Did I hear Romeo was leaving?" Ms. Hunter asked Romeo and Julie.

"Yeah, it's time that I get home. My uncle wouldn't like it if I got back too late." Romeo told the adult.

"Oh well, thanks for coming and keeping my kids entertained."

"Thanks letting me." Romeo smiled.

Ms. Hunter smiled back. "You know we're having a party next Friday. It would be fantastic if you would join us. You could even bring your uncle."

"Sounds like fun. I'll be there." Romeo stated.

"Great, well then I'll see you next week." Ms. Hunter exclaimed. Romeo nodded.

Julie tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, smiling somewhat flirtatiously on accident.

"I'm glad you came over, Romeo. I had a lot of fun."

Romeo blushed faintly. "Yeah, so did I."

Neither one of them knew what to do. What sort of gesture was right? They had hugged before but that was before they nearly kissed. A handshake was too formal and didn't fit their friendship. A high five just seemed odd and out of place. A kiss would make things awkward, send mixed signals, and completely didn't fit.

After an accidental fake out almost hug and accidental fake out almost handshake, they high fived.

"Well, see ya." The two said to each other in unison. And Romeo left.
