We are...

3rd POV

Cole storms out of the room. He paces up and down the empty hallway in till he can't take it anymore and punches the lockers. It dents the metal, and he grimaces at his work. "Damn it all." He sighs as he leans against the wall.

There's a click of a door opening, and Cole disappears down the hall not bothering to see who it is or where he was going. Then he catches a scent that made his heart jump out of his chest. Looking up, he sees the figure of that troublesome rogue turn a corner into the hall he is walking. Her legs are moving her gracefully away from him.

Before Cole knows what he's doing, he's flat out running through the school. He grabs her shoulder and pushes her against a wall. Sarah gasps and stares slightly terrified at the male towering over her. She had no clue what he was going to do; she couldn't read him.
Mostly because Cole himself had no clue what he was going to do either, all he knew he had to stop her. He had two extreme emotions war inside him. His wolf fighting for it mate and his brain fighting for self-preservation.

"What are you doing to me!?" Cole growls, pain, and confusion evident in his voice.

Sarah's eyes soften as she whispers, "I think... we are... mates."

"No... I can't believe that."

Sarah looks hurt, "you feel it to the right? Your wolf, it wants to be near mine."

Cole lends in closer as his wolf goes wild. He can't run from it now, Sarah Clearwater the rogue, is his soulmate. This makes everything more complicated for the young alpha.
He growls in frustration, slams his hand into her shoulder, and she cries out in pain. Making him wince as well. He takes off down the passageway. Screw school, he needs to get away from here right now. As soon as he reached the forest line surrounding the school, his shirt was gone. Quickly followed by his shoes and pants. Then he lost it and gave in his wolf. It throws its head back and howls a heartbreaking song.

Sarah POV

My heart stops as I stare into his dark eyes. Time seems to stand still as he moves ever so closer, towering over me. I close my eye scare off what he'll do. Suddenly he growls and shoving my shoulders, making my back slam against a wall. I yelp as pain flares through my back, before I could recover he disappear like a ghost. Leaving me to stand there stunned as my wolf howl in pain.

I sink to the floor, tears stinging my eyes. All my hopes came crashing down almost as fast as they were built. Then I heard it, the cry of a wolf, and my wolf wanted to shift. I end up sobbing out loud, "what don't you get..? He doesn't want me." I whimper at my wolf. For some reason saying it out loud only made it hurt more.

I stay like that in till the bell rings, and students fill the space. I stood up then and started walking without knowing where I was going. Then I noticed someone was following me; it was the heavy set girl with long wavy hair. I think her name a Charity. Not wanting to put it off. I stop and wait for her to catch up. She looks me up and down before saying, "you look like you could use some help?"

I nod, not wanting to say anything. Handing Charity the papers that I need to learn to read.

"So what's your story?" She asks, looking over the pages in from hands.

"W-what?"

"If I'm going to hate someone, at least I want to know who I'm hating. And honestly, I'm the only one who will listen to you, " Charity states, her dark eyes as flashing behind round gray glasses.

I look away. "I used to belong to a small pack. My parents were killed when I was little, and my pack didn't get to me on time... I was put in the system and give to a human family. Luckily they lived close to the pack, and they taught me everything. Then a Forster father lost his job, and we moved. Now I'm here..." I stopped talking. I didn't want to tell her about being mated with her alpha.

I look up at Charity, and she's studying me. "I don't think you're lying." She starts slowly, "and that means your innocence. Cole, our alpha, he's a good man. He might allow you into our pack if you give him time and keep your head down."

I shake my head, "I don't think he will."
She quit for a little as if she's trying to put the pieces together. "You next class is English 1. Three doors down from her on the left. Good luck Sarah."

I smile at her, she the first to call me by my name. I walk away from her then, as I realize, she doesn't hate me!

Charity's POV
"Dancing with fire?" Someone says from behind me. I turn, used to this from the smaller of the two betas.

"Well someone has to. I'm not ok with blindly hating someone. Besides, I know you felt Cole shift, and his scent was all over her."

"Think the two are connected?"

"Yeah" I nod.

"Trust her?"

"That's a question for you. Isn't it your gift?"

"Not really... it's just a side effect. Besides your the one who can pick out the lairs."

"Well from what I can tell everything she said was true. She didn't come here because she wanted to. I don't think she's here to hurt us. And that makes me trust her. Do you think Cole will let her in the pack?"

Jesusa shrugged, "I don't know. Half the pack is ready to chase her out of our land. And the other half doesn't want to make a move. However, I think if she plays her cards right. She'll be fine."
We both look off to where Sarah disappeared. The bell first bell rang, and we both go off to our classes.
