Grian shakily stood up from his bed, pushing back wavy locks of hair, strands sticking to his forehead with sweat and tears. You're not with them anymore. You're Grian, not Xelqua. Grian shifted his parrot wings, streching them out.
Grian stared at the floor for what seemed like an eternity, before he sighed, and picked up a red sweater and grey jeans folded neatly st the end of his bed. He quickly changed, struggling to get his wings through the holes he had cut into the back.
He registered the firework going off im the near distance, and the elytra gliding on the wind, before a thud on Grian's porch. A rapid knocking was heard on his door, followed by a voice, trying to hide its frantic tone. "Grian, You in?" Xisuma asked. Grian sighed as he opened the door for the admin. "What's up?" Grian asked, brow raising as he tried to hide the sign's he'd had a nightmare. "Well, the stars changed into hundreds of purple eyes, and there was an earthquake. Know anything bout that?" X questioned, brow raised.
"No clue," the parrot shrugged. "Why come to me, though?" Xisuma sighed as he pulled off his helmet, exposing his alien features. "Grian, You know I won't just forget that your a watcher one day. Did something happen to you last night?"
Grian groaned and sat down on his bed. "Nightmare," The shorter answered. "What happened must've been because of my emotions."
Xisuma looked at him strangely. "You haven't had a nightmare about them since season 7, mate. Anything else happen recently?"Grian bit his lip.
"They tried taking control of me a few weeks ago, it's how I realised they were still, well, watching." He spoke with a strange shakiness X hadn't heard in a while.
"Grian, I won't let them take you. You know that, Hermitcraft is much more secure than Evo ever was." Xisuma put a hand on the avian's shoulder, giving him a small, kind smile.
Grian nodded, returning the smile. "Yeah, I know X. My watcher magic and Doc's weird robot stuff is the only reason though." The admin gave a laugh, and Grian stood up. "Well? Shoo. I was gonna have a mind day." Grian said, pushing X towards the door. "The hell's a mind day?" Xisuma asked. "A day were I sit in the air and try to figure out the meaning of life and why the watchers hate mine so much." The avian answered as he opened the door for his admin. "Bye!" He smiled at Ex-Eye-Suma.
"Hang on, You've got my curious now, you can't just kick me out!" X laughed.
Grian stopped for a moment, brow raising. "You want to see dark watcher magic," X nodded. "Knowing that my auror is as harmful as five supercharged creepers," X nodded again. "And you think I'd say yes, knowing full well how hurt you could get if you don't have the right enchantments?" X nodded a final time, and Grian let out a deep, tired sigh. "Do you have feather falling?"
"Yeah, of course." X answered, smiling.
"Blast protection?" Grian shot back, eye brow raising. If Xisuma was forcing the parrot hybrid to let him see dark magic, he atleast wanted X to be protected. "Mmhm!" The Admin hummed.
"Thorns? Respiration?"
"Why would I need respiration?"
"Eh, you'll see. If you have them both."
"Yeah, I have them all."
Grian nodded, walling over to a chest at the end of his bed. "You should know... Seeing dark magic is like pouring lava over your eyes." X let out a breathy laugh. "Not terrifying at all, G. Thank you."
Grian chuckled, as he pulled out a large enchanted book, with the symbol of the watchers branded on the centre, a thin layer of dust being blown off by Grian's breathe. "Last chance to back out?" Grian grinned, and X shook his head vigorously. "I've only ever seen enchantments and evoker magic. If I wanna be a good admin I've gotta know different types of magic."
"This is a terrible idea." Grian sighed.
"Terrible good or terrible bad?" X asked, his question was met with silence and a light glare from the parrot avian. "Alright, then..."
Grian laughed, before shutting his eyes and sitting down. Xisuma stood akwardly and stared at Grian, before the avian opened one eye, looked to the admin then at the floor, bedore curtly shutting his eye again. X nodded and sat down, staring at Grian curiously.
"ᒲᔑ⊣╎ᓵ ∴ᔑℸ ̣ ᓵ⍑ᒷ∷ ᓭ!¡ᒷꖎꖎ ᓵᔑᓭℸ ̣ ╎リ⊣ ℸ ̣ ⍑╎リ⊣|| ╎↸⎓ꖌ"
Xisuma's jaw dropped. Everyone could read Galactic, it was like reading english, though he'd never heard someone genuinely speak it, let alone so fluently.
"ᒲ𝙹∷ᒷ ᒲᔑ⊣╎ᓵ ∴𝙹∷↸ᓭ ╎⊣"
Grian's eyes opened, but his pupils were missing, the whites of his eyes glazed over with a glowing purple, and he could see slits under his eyes begin to form, and slowly another set of eyes opened, both like his real, human eyes.
"ʖ╎!¡!¡╎ℸ ̣ || ʖ𝙹!¡!¡╎ℸ ̣ || ʖ𝙹𝙹"
Slowly, Grians wimgs spread out, and the red, blue amd yellow feathers faded too a purple, and one more set of small wings spread out.
Slowly, many eyes opened, though not on Grian's face. Glowing eyes in the room, on his wings, staring at him, on Grian's hands, on the walls. He doubted they wouldn't be all over the server.
Xisuma was frozen in both fear and wonder. His mouth hung open as Grian began to float just centimetres above the ground.
As th thousands of eyes stared down at him, dark purple particles formed around Grian, rushing around him in a flurry. The book the avian had held earlier was floating in the air, glowing its purple hue.
Xisuma suddenly felt the air of the room leave, and his breathe became clogged, muddy. That's why he needed respiration.
As the air left him, So did gravity. He felt his legs lift off of the floor. His eyes were burning, and he felt like he was being torn apart.
Then, it all stopped, and he fell. Good thing for the feather falling, then. A horrible ringing noise filled X's ears, and soon he heard the ringing pause, and Grian fall to the floor, followed by lote of coughing. Xisuma scrambled up, and over to Grian, who looked at him and smiled. Only smiled. "So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how was the ride?"
Xisuma laughed. "You're insane."
"I try."
