Chapter One
Jack
I bolted awake from the nightmare I had. Shivering badly. My thoughts ran a million times faster than normal. That dream always showed up when I least expected it. I turn my head and discover that it was only three in the morning. I groaned and laid back, hoping that I could get back to sleep as fast as I could.

"Jack Ackles!" Jensen's voice boomed throughout the house.
It was a Monday and I did not want to go to school. These last few days I had felt off. Suddenly, footsteps were running up the stairs and Jensen barged into my room.
"Jack William Ackles!" Jensen exclaimed. "Get out of that bed, your going to be late for school,"
I sighed and placed the pillow over my head. Sure Jensen was my protector and everything but I was starting to get annoyed. The government as far as I knew thought he was my father. My door opened all the way and the next thing I knew, the blankets and pill was pulled off me.
"I won't ask again," Jensen ordered.
"Yes, Father," I said as he walked out the door.
I rubbed my eyes and got out of bed. My room wasn't much, a queen bed sat in the middle of the room and my desk was to the right. I made my way toward the closet and pressed a large red button. The machine picked up with a metallic noise that was saying it was awake.
"Sandra," I said. "Please pick out my clothes for the day,"
"Yes, Mr. Ackles," A feminine voice said.
The computer picked out a black shirt, ripped jeans, and converse. As I got ready strange things started happening, my eyes glowed and locked onto the clothes. Without thinking, I grabbed it and brought it over to my bed. Turning away, I headed toward the bathroom and turned on the light. My bathroom was small with a mirror surrounded by lightbulbs as if it were from a theater mirror. I grabbed my facewash, but when I looked up, I stumbled at the sight of my eyes. One was green and the other was blue. I shook my head expecting my eyes to change color but it still remained the same. I tried not to think about it and walked out of the bathroom. Focused on getting ready. I paused when I heard someone tapping on my window. Outside, I saw my best friend, Mark Fischbach on the windowsill. I raced over and pulled it open. Mark had fiery red and brown hair, and he was depressed in dark clothes.
"Mark?" I said. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to pick you up," Mark responded and climbed in.
"You know we have school right?" I asked.
"Well, we can skip school, I have to show you something," Mark responded.
His eyes traveled to my right eye. I figured he saw the same thing I saw cause he turned away from it.
"What's with your eye?" he asked.
I hesitated. Unsure of what to do.
"I don't know man, I saw the same thing," I answered.
Mark shrugged suggesting that I was tired. I shook my head and sat down. Mark laughed and climbed out the window. At first, I wasn't about to skip, then again, I wanted to be like Mark. Shrugging aside my thoughts, I followed him on the roof. Mark climbed down the tree. However, when I looked down, all of a sudden my brain kicked into hyperdrive. Math problems of height, length, and width played around in my head. The tree was about 16ft, perfectly calculated.
"Wait, how could I figure that out?" I thought to myself.
"Jack!" Mark called. "Any day now!"
I snapped out of my thoughts and nodded. I looked around until my eyes landed on a water drain. I walked over and started down. Jensen would of had my ass if he ever found out I skipped school. Sometimes I listened, sometimes I rebelled against him. Most of the people I knew were afraid of what might happen. I climbed down the drain pipe safely, and jumped down.
"Seriously?" Mark questioned. "The drain? You could have gone down the tree,"
"But that would be a one-way ticket to the afterlife," I responded.
Mark facepalmed. "God your so impossible,"
"But you are my best friend," I said. "You should be used to that by now,"
Mark turned and started heading toward his car. The car was a black 2023 Nissan. One of the electric cars that are still being used today.
"If you really want to be like me, then you have to change your hair color," Mark said.
"To?" I asked.
"Anything you want," Mark answered.

Jensen
With Jack being away for school, Jensen decided that it would have been a good idea to go down to the basement. It was a secret lab in his house that he made sure to monitor his adopted son's progress. The day that he found them, his ex-lab partner kidnapped the poor boy and put machinery inside his body. He hadn't told him what it was exactly but something told him that there was more to his lab partner's plan than he was thinking. Jack never knew about it so Jensen didn't have to worry about anything coming up. That is until the day he discovered that Jack was starting to learn some of his abilities.
Jensen walked over to the computer and sat down in front of it. The computer was large with multiple screens. On one half of the computer, was a tracking device meant to track Jensen's every move. On the other half was a diagram of every machine part in Jack's body. Jensen looked through the computer at the mass amount of research he had done until his eyes landed on the tracking device. Surprised, Jensen zoomed into the map with his mouse and discovered that Jack wasn't in school.
Jensen's eyes widened as he saw Jack going the complete opposite direction of the school. He clicked a few more buttons and discovered that Jack had gone to a Salon with Mark.
"That kid, I swear!" Jensen exclaimed and stood from his chair.
He stormed out of the basement and got into his own electric car before heading toward the Salon. If Mark found out Jack's secret, things were going to get worse. Jack's secret would be out and he would be taken to a secret observatory where his ex-lab partner probably wouldn't waste a second in taking Jack.
