Day 3 - Part I

The ceremony starts at noon, that made me wake up early to get ready in time. I took a long hot bath right before ordering room service, this entire morning has been all about pampering myself, not every day you get the chance to stay in a place as beautiful as here. I shaved my legs, cut and painted my nails and last but not least, did my own hair.

Its always nice to make an effort to look good once in a while, well, at least for me. I'm not the type of girl that takes care of her appearance, I barely use make up anymore. Right now, I'm doing my make up and I should hurry, the clock reads ten thirty and Harry told meet him at the lobby thirty minutes before the ceremony, that's an hour from now.

I would be lying if I say I'm not excited. I am, incredibly. I love weddings and everything that comes with it. The food, the partying, the feeling of love all around. And, its an excuse to dress up and look cute. Like I said, I'm not a girly type of girl but from time to time I like to pretend I am, wearing heels instead of flats, wearing a dress instead of jeans, doing my hair instead of leaving it natural. I should do it more often, but to be honest, I'm too lazy to spend a lot of time curling my hair.

Finally, my make up is done and I step inside of the dress, zipping the back with some difficulty. I look at myself in the full length mirror in the bathroom. I smile seeing the result of my effort, there's only one thing I'm missing. I walk to my bag and get a pair of diamond earrings that my grandma gave me when I turned sixteen. I put them on, completing the look.

I feel proud of my work, I look like an actual girl right now.

I put on my heels and get my purse, only my phone inside and my lipstick, just in case of a touch up. I take a last look in the mirror before opening the door, checking the clock that now reads eleven twenty.

As I wait for the elevator, I try to control my nerves. I'm so excited to see Harry. I think I have never seen him in a suit. Will he wear a suit? Well, of course he will. I just feel like he's not going to wear an ordinary suit, he has his own style. And also, I'm a bit excited for him to see me like this. Its different, for sure, I just hope he reacts well.

After he left my room last night I can't stop thinking about all the things he said. I think of it and it puts a smile on my face. He showed me that I mean something to him, something more than just a name on his list of girls. He thought of me during the time we were apart. For Christ sake, he has a tattoo of the drawing I gave to him.

I'm still not sure how to handle that, its a tattoo, something that lasts forever. He really is a character and as weird as it sounds, I like his gesture. It makes me feel special, more than that. Somehow, I left a mark on him and this is his way of showing it to me.

The elevator finally arrives and I step inside, my nerves consuming me. I try to distract myself paying attention to the details inside of the elevator. This hotel really puts a lot of effort in the details, everything is designed perfectly to make you feel in a real life Disney tale.

When the doors open in the lobby, I'm shocked to see different flowers in the table right in the middle of the entry, this time all white flowers in a big crystal base. I walk closer to it, its incredibly beautiful. The rest of the flowers in the room changed as well, the entire lobby smells amazing.

When did they change the flowers? I went to my room late last night and I didn't notice anyone changing anything.

"Frances?" I hear a deep voice just a few steps from me, taking all my attention. I look to my right and find Harry standing by the stairs, instantly my mouth falls to the floor.

I open my mouth to say something but instead, my face gets consumed by a smile. He looks so... so... So him. But even more handsome. I knew he wasn't going to pick a normal suit.

"Harry." I mumble, finally saying something. I can't help the smile on my face, and apparently he can't either.

He doesn't move right away, he's paralyzed. After a moment he starts walking closer to me, taking his time. His smile turns into a slight smirk, one that instantly melts me. Once he's in front of me, his smirk grows, showing me that dimple I love. The proximity lets me drown in that scent of him, that smell I still can't describe but just his.

"I... Hi." He says, almost stuttering.

"Hi." I say, just as shy.

We stare at each other for some seconds, I feel incredibly tiny in front of him, in front of this new Harry in a black suit, scarf and a hat, a Harry that can't stop moving his eyes all over me and finally just stopping at my eyes, shyly moving his hand to push a flick of my hair behind my ear. He has never looked at me this way and... It feels great.

"You... You look beautiful. Stunning. So... So...." He says, only for me to hear. I blush and instantly move my face down, embarrassed. "Noo, don't hide, babe. If you're going to look like this, you have to be with confident. There's nothing to be embarrassed for."

"You're making me blush." I half laugh, touching the tips of my hair that falls to one side.

"Only because I'm telling the truth." He leans forward, placing a kiss on my cheek. "You look amazing, okay?"

"Thank you." I say, smiling at him and still feeling my cheeks flush. "You don't look so bad yourself. Look at you. Almost a tie and everything." I move my hands to the piece of fabric falling on his chest.

"Ha, almost." He rolls his eyes, giving me a one sided smile. "I like that way of putting it."

"Its very you. I like it." I move my hands a little higher, taking an instinctive step forward.

"Oh, really?" He says tucking one arm around me and securing me close to him.

"Harry!" We hear someone shouting from afar. "Harry! The ceremony its about to start!"

We both turn our heads and find Anne in the garden's door waving at us. I take a step back and accommodate my dress, feeling shy once again.

"May I escort you, mademoiselle?" Harry says offering me his arm.

"It would be my pleasure" I say, giving him a shy smile and accepting his arm.

He guides our steps outside, in the big open garden where the ceremony is located. I'm amazed by the complete set up, its beautiful. There's a trail of white roses that guide you all the way to the chairs. The only glimpse of colors are the rosy ribbons holding the roses together and on the back of the chairs. This is incredible.

Anne waits for us by the stairs to the garden, she smiles at me looking at my dress.

"Frances, my dear. You look incredible." She kisses both of my cheeks, holding onto my free arm. "Absolutely beautiful."

"Thank you." I say with a polite smile. "You look stunning as well. I love your hair." She has a braid falling on one side making her hat the center of attention.

"You're so lovely." She takes my hand in hers. "Come, let's go find our seats."

The three of us enter to the open garden, waving at a few people as we pass by. Harry stops to greet some of his family and Anne makes me follow her to our chairs. The day is so beautiful, the sun is up in the sky and there's not a single cloud trying to ruin this beautiful ceremony. Finally Harry comes and sits next to me with his mom by his side.

"Stay here, I'm going to check on the bride." Anne says standing up, winking an eye at us. She leave us quickly, passing by the small crowd of people.

Everyone start finding their seats, I see the groom walking to the aisle with his best man on his side. There's a pastor placing everything he needs on a small podium, it seems the ceremony its about to start.

Suddenly, while I'm lost looking at everyone else, I sense a pair of green eyes looking at me. When I turn my face just a little I catch him staring, it makes him break a smirk.

"What?" I say, trying to hide a giggle after catching him.

"Nothing. I'm just..." He says, biting on his bottom lip and moving his eyes away. "I'm mesmerized, that's all."

"By?" I dare to ask, even though my cheeks started blushing naturally.

He chuckles, shaking his head and returning his gaze to me. I can't stop smiling when I look at him, at his green eyes shining under this beautiful sunny day.

"By how beautiful you look today." He says, his eyes never moving from mine. "Its going to be hard to pay attention to the rest of the wedding when you look like this."

"Oh, come on. Stop it." I move my eyes away, trying to hide my bright rosy cheeks.

"I'm not joking." He says placing one arm behind the back of my chair. "Get used to it."

"You know, staring its bad." I say, moving a bit close to him.

"Then, you shouldn't have wear this dress. Its not my fault." He whispers to my ear, his breath sending chills down my spine.

I take a deep breath, trying to remain calm. I don't think someone can blush this much in such a short time. The amount of butterflies I feel in my stomach is not normal, its a warm feeling I could get used to.

Out of a sudden, a set of violins start playing a march and everyone stands up. We do the same, kind of disoriented. Anne comes running next to us, accommodating her hat and her dress.

"Here she comes!" We hear a lady say in the seat behind us, in an excited voice.

We all turn around to find a little girl throwing flowers with her steps, everyone staring at her in awe. And then, after a couple of seconds, we see the bride walking to the aisle, escorted by her daughter. They both look beautiful, but the bride, wow. She looks incredible. Its hard to believe this woman is in her fifties.

She's almost at the altar when I feel a hand sliding to hold mine, our fingers tangling almost naturally. It takes me by surprise, of course, making me snap my eyes from the bride to our locked hands, and then to his face, a smile stinging my lips.

He looks back at me for a second, green eyes telling me he is not planning to move his hand away. And... I really don't mind.

The whole ceremony I felt butterflies in my stomach, not even for a moment he let my hand slip away. When they were telling their vows, I felt his fingers caress the inside of my hand, sending chills directly to my whole body. This entire situation is playing with my feelings. This an amazing day.

Soon enough, the new couple kiss as husband and wife for the first time and everyone in the public cheer for them, including us. They leave the altar and walk down the aisle, staring at each other with loving eyes. I smile, weddings always make me smile. You can see the love in just their stares.

Once again, I feel a hand holding mine, making me turn my head from the newly weds.

"Let's go find our table." He says to my ear, then leading our steps. "I'll even invite you a drink."

"Its a wedding." I giggle, following him. I see Anne rolling her eyes at her son and I can't blame her. "Drinks are free."

"Exactly." He says winking an eye at me.
