~1~Timeskip to prom night!~

Y/n's POV

Oh Irene i'm so nervous! Mom is currently doing my hair and makeup and I keep fidgeting with my dress. Why am i so nervous?!?!?! Is it because i'm going with my best friend?

Mom said it's normal but I don't think so. How would she know?! I'm 17 and she's.......................... I'm not gonna finish that. She finally finishes but makes me pose for pictures. Garroth was going with Katelynn but only as friends since Jeffory dumped her.

We made silly faces and whatnot before Garroth left with dad to Aph's house. Mom made me sit upstairs until Daniel arrived to pick me up. About 15 minutes later the doorbell rang signalling his arrival. I paused for a few minutes and walked down the stairs.

Once i made it down I saw Daniel staring at me with wide eyes. Mom was staring in pride. I smiled and walked over to him and put a s/f/c corsage on my wrist. "Alright you two. Go have fun but remember be home no later than 11:30 tell your brother too." Mom said in a stern voice.

"Y-yes Mrs. Ro'meave!" Daniel said nervously. I chuckled and we walked out to my car. Daniel drove us to the school and we talked about stuff that was going on. We soon arrived to the dance and we walked up the steps to the gym.

Nobody noticed us enter but I saw Aaron dancing with Aphmau and Garroth dancing with Katelyn. I grinned and led him to the dance floor where we proceeded to join the others dancing.

We danced to multiple songs and we sat out for a few. We were currently dancing to a slow dance. I rested my head on Daniel's shoulder. "Daniel? What happens to us after this?" I asked softly fearing the answer.

He didn't respond right away which frightened me more. "I-I guess we take a step forward?" He said unsure. "Daniel the dance is the least of my worries why- wait. As in the next step in our relationship? Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" I said looking up at him in shock.

"I-I guess. So will you?" He said sheepishly. I smiled softly before i replied "Of course Daniel, you've been there for me since we met and you even stayed beside me when you met my demon. Who else does that? Only you"

He smiled at me and we both leaned in for a kiss. Of course the moment was ruined by my idiot twin brother. "Hey guys! What you doing?!" and we hastily pulled away from each other awkwardly.

"N-nothing Garroth! Wait what times is it?" I asked nervously so we didn't get in trouble. "Uh....... It's only 10:45 why?" I breathed in relief and Daniel chuckled beside me. "We have to be home by 11:30 tonight or else mom will do something and I really don't wanna find out what she has planned."

Garroth nodded in agreement before walkking over to the tables. i noticed a box behind him that would flash every so often. "OOOOH Daniel! A Photobooth! Let's get some pictures!" I hrried over to it before Daniel could respond and I sat there bouncing impatiently. (I see Aph doing this lol who else does??)

Daniel finally made it and we climbed in and took some pictures. In one we did silly faces, one normal faces (smiling), another i had fallen as the camera flashed, the last one had us both leaning against each other smiling and blushing. As I inspected the photos I noticed Aph and Aaron walk out of the gym.

I didn't ponder where they went for long because Daniel led em over to the food and drink tables reminding me of how hungry i was. We piled our plates with food and sat down to eat. We remained quiet for a bit before Daniel asked me a question i should have expected since I mentioned my demon.

"Y/n you sid that if she sees light she comes out but why isn't she here now?"

"O-oh. She comes out only if there is about only 1 or 2 people around but since there are so many people she refuses to come out."

"That makes sense since that would give her away but we met at the park and people were nearby bur she came out?"

"They were at a distance whereas here people are right near us."

He nodded and we finished eating our food. At this point it was 11:05, they should be announcing king and queen soon. As if on que the principal stepped on stage and everyone looked to him eagerly. "Ah thank you for your attention students.  (I don't remember much about him so I'm writing him as a chill dude) As you know we need a Prom Queen and King. All week you ahve been nominating and voting students for such roles and today all votes were tallied. So drum roll please!"

Some band kid who had their drums with them did the drum thing as he opened an envelope. "This year's Prom King is....................... Garroth Ro'meave!" I clapped and hollered with the rest but I'm pretty sure I was loudest. He walked up grinning broadly. "And the Prom Queen is................................................ Katelynn Razes!" (Jess never mentions her last name so I made it up.) I cheered for my friend just like I did for Garroth.

The two led a dance in response and me and Daniel joined them. I smirked playfully. "Daniel~" "Yeah Y/-" I cut him off by kissing him. He hesitantly returned the kiss. As we kissed I couldn't help but feel two pairs of eyes on me. I glanced around quickly first i saw Garroth looking but kinda in a somewhat pleased way second i saw Ivy glaring at me with all hatred in the world. I could honestly care less about Ivy though. Right now I was so happy and nothing could chnge that.
