Dante POV:

"No- He can't do this..."

"Dante what's going on!!"

"Gene... He's back." Lauren's eyes widen."NO.NO HE CAN'T BE BACK!! AFTER EVERYTHING HE PUT US THROUGH IN HIGH SCHOOL!! Wait, you know why I hate your brother, but why do you hate him?"

"When I was a kid Gene was my best friend, but when we entered high school he became..well..different...He was the same at home but when he moved out I found out why. I wanted to spend time with my older brother but whenever I would visit he'd yell at me, do and say horrible things..... I knew my brother and I loved him; but one day he said he'd kill Travis, mom, dad anyone who was close to me if I didn't leave him alone. I didn't know how to react to that so I just brushed him off. The next day I went over to his house. When I got there it was like he knew I was coming. He had my best friend on his couch ...."

~flashback~

My eyes widened "Hey big brother hey Max what are you--" Gene pulled me in the kitchen and pulled out a gun and aimed it at Max"Gen what are you-"

"you did this to yourself, Dante, you should have listened to my warning. now your friend will suffer for your stupidity."

~End of Flashback~

"Then he fired at him hitting him in the head... It was horrible...." I sat up looking at Laurence. "Then I stopped going over it 2 years later too...Gene has this...Ability to erase and manipulate memories... that year, he gave me a fate worse than death. He erased me from my parents' memories... it's as if I had never existed......"

Laurence POV:

I look down. "Dante... I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. but he can't take Vylad away too! I'm sad he killed my best friend and I'm mad about my parents, but if he touches my husband I won't hesitate to kill him!!! He has no right to do this! this isn't right by any means!!" We hear a door open and Garroth comes up the stairs from Zane's room with Zane in his arms. Zane's eyes are bloodshot and has a runny nose and is still crying a little bit.

"Laurence can we talk?"

"Sure what's up Garroth?"

"Upstairs."

"Ok?" We walk downstairs and Dante tells Zane what's going on with Vylad.

Garroth POV:

'I have to do it, I have to tell him how I feel.'

"Soooo Garroth what's up?"

"Well, um...."

"What's with you today?" We walk into his room and he sits on the bed and I kinda just stand in the doorway.

"what's going on with my brother? he didn't look right when I walked in." 'NO GARROTH YOU IDIOT!!! JUST TELL HIM YOU LOVE HIM!!!'

"What did you just say?"

'CRAP did I just say that out loud?'

"Yes you did." I walk over to Laurence not breaking eye contact. "Are you okay Garroth you've been dif---" I kiss him hard with passion and he kisses back soon after. We stayed like that for a few minutes before moving on top of him.

Zane POV:

"so what you're saying is Gene's trying to kill my brother?!"

"Yes, no, sort of, I don't know, this has only happened once before, but he was in the room when he erased mom and dad's memories."

"So he's trying to erase you from the inside out?"

I jump up and point at him enthusiastically. "YES that's what I was trying to say. At most we have a week to find and stop him."

"got it I'll go get Garroth and Laurence, they went upstairs not so long ago."

"Okay." Suddenly we hear Laurence moan Garroths name. We just look at each other for a moment in silence when I finally say something. "They sound busy, let's just go."

He replied almost immediately after. "Yup let's go kill my brother!"

"LET'S GO KILL YOUR BROTHER!!!" We get in his car after getting Vylad in the car and go to Gene's apartment.
