A/N: sorry for the wait I've been really busy and my girlfriends back in town for the summer. I'll try to update as often as I can. Also, this used to be called "the memories" and I just thought this title was more fitting and I like it more.  Some other titles may change as I'm editing. just saying! happy reading!

Garroth POV:

We burst through the door to Vylads hospital room and see Vylad on the floor. "Dante what happened!" I look toward him and he's crying into his hands. I turn toward the doctor. "He doesn't remember Dante...does he....." He shakes his head and I look down too.

"What happened....W-where am I....?" I look up and everyone but Dante looks at Vylad. He's awake!!

"Dante....look." the doctor says.

"Why should I...I-it's not like he will remember me anyway....." Vylad makes a small laugh and smiles at Dante.

"What are you talking about? How could I forget my husband?!" Dante looks up and sees Vylad smiling at him then runs at him hugging him and pulling him into a big kiss.

I whisper to everyone "I think we should give them some privacy." We all node and leave the room.

Dante POV:

I pull away and hug him crying into his shirt."You..you remember me...."

"why wouldn't I?" I look up at him.

"Vylad what's the last thing you remember?"

"Well..." He thinks for a moment. "The last thing I remember is Laurence talking to me about how he felt about Garroth... Then waking up here....Why?"

"so you don't remember anything from the past 9 months?"

"no..wait...MONTHS?! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!"

"well... Do you remember my brother Gene? I think you met him in high school." He looks down.

"How could I forget him. don't you remember what he did to Zane and Garroth?"

I hold his chin and tilt it up so my gaze met his.

"Gene has this..relic that can change memories."

"so? what does your brother have to do with this?"

"He..." I start crying again.

"What did he do Dante? I swear I've been wanting to kill him since the day I saw what he did to my brothers."

"He...erased me from your memories." He cups his hands over his mouth and starts crying too.

"W-w-what? how is that possible the last time I saw him was in high school, I-I haven't seen him since."

"Well..." I look down.

"Dante ware is he I'm going to kill him!!"

"Vylad you can't kill him I know he's evil, but he's still my brother...I went to his place with Zane to get him to stop the day the accident happened."

"Dante. ware is he."

"Gene's in jail." Vlad's eyes widen. when he smiles and starts laughing."Vylad what's wrong with you?"

"Vylad?! HA!! Vylad's gone, brother."

"G-Gene?! LEAVE VYLAD OUT OF THIS! He has nothing to do with this!"

"oh Dante, he has everything to do with this."

"wait... you weren't trying to erase me... you were trying to take over Vylad!!!" He claps his hands slowly.

"Congratulations you figured out my plan." He smiles. "But you're too late to stop me. The moment I erased you was the moment I got access to his memories, brain, and body."

"is he.. still in there?"

"Ya he's in here, but he's locked away."

"You won't get away with this!! They will stop you!!"

"Oh, brother I already have. and when I'm done with you there will be no one to stop me." He laughs evilly for a moment then Garroth and the doctor came into the room and he stops.

"Hey, baby brother you can leave today," Garroth says.

"Really? That's great!" He sounded like vylad again.

"Garroth, can I talk to you?" I ask Garroth. Vylad looks at me giving me a look telling me not to tell or he'd be the next one. Garroth nods to me and we step outside of the room.

"What's up Dante?"

"um...The man in there isn't Vylad."

"Dante, what are you talking about?"

"Gene... He wasn't erasing me from his memories he was taking over his mind!"

"Dante you're tired and in shock go home and sleep."

"It's true!!!"

"Dante don't argue with me go home." I nod and walk back into the room.

"I'm going home Laurence, can you fill Vylad in on what he's missed over the past year I need to think about some stuff." I look dow starting to cry and walk to the door and leave.

Before I reach the door Travis grabs my arm and whispers in my ear."What's wrong with Vylad?"

I stop and whisper back "It's not safe to talk here, but that's not the man I fell in love with. That's not Vylad. I'll explain when he's not around to hear us." He nods and lets me go. I walk out of the hospital and drive home.

Travis POV:

'From what Dante said now I know its not Vylad. I could tell something was off but now it's been confirmed. That's not Vylad there's something off with his ora. But from the way, Dante reacted it's not safe to talk about this here. I have to keep quiet about this.'
