Hello guys,

I am very sorry for being late. I am facing some personal problems and to top it all  my phone broke. so now i have to come into the town to the net cafe to access net. The updates will be slow. But i will definitely do it. I am sorry for the long wait. And i'm thankful to all who still support me.

i hope i'm forgiven. But please understand. i'm trying my best to update as fast as i can.

'Minjae..... i-i'm sorry. I need to go'

Taehyung sighed. It's been two days since he last met or called Minjae. Two days since he heard about Jungkook who seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. The alpha blood did not come to school and none of his friends knew where he was.

The guilty part of him kept accusing that he was the reason why Jungkook disappeared. The other angry part had a kind of cruel satisfaction.

None of his friends spoke anything after they heard Taehyung's response to Jungkook leaving

'it's okay. He wasn't angry cuz he was broken hearted or something. He's angry cuz I'm not moping over him like he expected me to. He'll get over it. And even if he doesn't i dont give a shit!'

But you love him~ an inner voice chanted.

"No i don't"

"You don't what?" Asked Jackson eyes narrowed in judgement.

"Nothing" He replied getting up and walking out of the cafeteria, leaving all his friends' concerened looks on his retreating figure.

He found himself in the empty basketball court, playing all by himself. Dripping with sweat and fatigue climbing up his whole body. Finally after a long time he collapsed onto the ground spreading like a starfish, the ball rolling away. He shut his eyes taking deep breaths when he heard footsteps nearing him and an all too familiar scent hit him.

"You've been doing the same thing as Jungkook for weeks now, you know" Jimin spoke sitting beside him.

Three months into pregnancy Taehyung could very clearly smell and hear the growing life in the omega. He kept his eyes shut, not answering back.

"Both of you shut everyone out. Only difference you are physically here and he's not. So care to tell me who the Guy you've been hooking up with?"

Taehyung ignored the omega trying to concentrate on his aching limbs than his aching heart.

"Tae" Jimin tried again "Please. I'm your best friend. You've shut me out for too long. Please don't bottle things anymore"

Taehyung grit his teeth "Go away Jimin. GO annoy Yoongi"

"I met you before him" Jimin chimmed "So the annoying preference also goes to you"

"But Yoongi has the first place in your life"

"That...." Jimin spoke in a soft voice "It is. Though he'll have to share his place now. This little fellow is coming along"

Taehyung didn't have to open his eyes to know that the omega was caressing his stomach. There was a long silence after that.

Jimin sighed and was about to get up when Taehyung spoke "I envy you, chim" He opened his eyes "Yoongi loves you more than anything."

Jimin chuckled "I wasn't so sure about that when he marked me in the toilet the very day we met, few seconds after seeing each other for the first time. I didn't believe in us for the first few months. Though we got all dirty very soon, i was sure it was just the mating pull and the hormones... Until the day he told me about his family. I saw him cry. I was his only family. I saw how much i meant to him. Then i knew that i could face anything in this world if he was near me."

Taehyung looked at his best friend "That's your life Chim. It's perfect. Mine's not. Infact its completely deranged."

"So was mine Tae. we still have our ups and downs...you know...Carl and all......but the doubts only till the moment we realized that with out each other we were better off dead than alive. For you, that moment has not come yet. It will."

"Yeah" Taehyung chuckled dryly " I saw him fuck Seulgi in an empty classroom. That was quite a moment for me"

"And he heard you fuck a stranger over phone"

"OH! so now it's my fault?!" He glared at the other.

"I didn't say that Tae" Jimin sighed "Maybe he has his own reasons"

"I know. Hormones" Taehyung spat.

"So was it for you with that stranger." Jimin pointed out.

"Who's side are you on??" Taehyung snapped "His or mine? And Minjae is not a stranger. He's my friend"

"Friends with benefits?"

Taehyung got up to leave when Jimin sprang holding him back by his arm "Look. Tae. I'm not taking anyone's side. Both of you have made mistakes. at the same time both of you have not."

Taehyung freed his arm. Furious. "Will you stop Freaking talking in riddles. We promised to give a try okay? I was dumb enough to be serious and he was not!" He shouted.

"He didn't Tae" Jimin shouted back "He did that to protect you. To protect all of us. There are things you don't know."

Taehyung stared back frowning "So you know something i don't"

Jimin bit his lip "Tae No-"

"Don't lie"

"No"

"TELL ME NOW! He used all his alpha power into his words.

Jimin's eyes glistened "YOU know that doesn't work on me Tae. Atleast not after Yoongi marked me."

Taehyung felt like the whole world was mocking at him. Anger and sadness ripped through him. He saw red. He didn't know what came over him, He lunged grabbing Jimin by his neck "Are you even my friend?" He seethed "Best friend? My ass! Everyone knows. Everyone other than me. Tell me what it is... Tell me!"

"Tae-"Jimin choked "Can't-"

Taehyung growled loudly "TELL ME!

"-Breath-" Jimin's face had gone red "Sorry-"

Taehyung shook with anger and hatred. He clamped his finger more tightly for one last time before shoving away Jimin who stumbled down to the floor. He stomped to the door and before he stepped out he turned around "You don't have to put up that best friend act anymore. all that matters to you is your life. You are just like Jungkook, untrustworthy. And i called you my Best friend. Goodbye."

It all seemed very fast and blurry. He'd gone home, his brother informed him Alpha Wonhoo's death. He was beyond shocked and he himself couldn't define the emotions passing through him. His brother had gone to the funeral to which his friends and family repeatedly insisted that he must attend. He just said a clear 'NO' and shut himself in the room. All he'd cared to ask was whether his sister Taeyeon , he mate Baekhyun and their son were safe. When Jaebum kept pesting him about Jungkook, he shouted back

  'So what? Even i don't have my parents. Big deal. He has his mother. He'll deal with it. And the funeral will be very much fine in my absence'

He cooped up on his bed with crammed thoughts, slipped into a disturbed and uneasy sleep. the sky was dark when he woke up and his brother was sitting in one corner of the room.

"When did you come back?" Taehyung croaked.

He could see the pain and misery on Daehyun's face. Wonhoo had been like a father figure to them all. The one Daehyun always reached out for help when tough decisions came on him. Suddenly Taehyung felt like the  biggest jerk for not going to the funeral.

He just didn't want to see Jungkook. He was sure that no matter to where Jungkook disappeared he would definitely appear for his father's funeral. He just wasn't sure that he could handle seeing that man. His Rival mate.

 "Tae" Daehyun said "Two alpha bloods becoming 'mates' is totally against the law. The offspring they could produce would be deadly. When the alpha bloods who are not mates have kids they become the True bloods, powerful and overpowering any wolf out there with immense power. so imagine how much stronger the offspring of a mated alpha blood pair would be. destined by the goddess, bound by the nature. The very essence of their existence  all perfectly made for each other, they would produce the ultimate heir. Invincible and powerful beyond anything in this world."

"What-" Taehyung began

"But you both cannot produce an heir. Both of you are males, alpha bloods, none omega." Daehyun continued. "Yet the Vultians are afraid of being overthrown. when you both mate, you will be like a single being with parallel emotions and thoughts with two bodies. The present vultians could be overthrown easily by you both."

"Again if you both took out any form of wrath, it won't be able to contain it. You could destroy the whole pack. The whole wolf race."

"Your talking nonsense" Taehyung said flatly.

"We thought keeping you both away would make the vultians back down and leave our packs alone. we were wrong. They want atleast one of you dead, no matter what and they will stop at nothing. Now Wonhoo is dead."

Taehyung was breathing hard standing beside his bed clutching the wood hard. "Its was a rogue attack. The Vultian warriors were not the ones"

"They play dirty" Daehyun explained " You think they would want to tarnish their reputation as justice keepers. Do you think they would want others to know that they killed a whole pack just because they were afraid of being overthrown?"

"and why are you telling this to me now? You could have told me before itself"

" I wanted to protect you. But now i know that hiding you from the truth does not do any good. What can i do.... You'll always be my baby brother."

"Jungkook needs you" Daehyung got up weary as if telling the whole thing had drained half of his life. "Jungkook knew all of this and Wonhoo strongly wanted to keep you both apart. For our packs. For all our lives"

Taehyung gulped "Is- is that why he did all those things?"

His brother sighed "I don't know what he did. But i know that it was bad enough to hurt you so much that you refused to go to the funeral."

Taehyung Stumbled back into the bed "What- what-"

His eyes filled with tears and he choked "Should i do?"

"Taehyung." His brother knelt beside him staring with a look he was familiar. It was the same look his brother gave when he was small, when He was told about their parent's death. The look that meant it was all in Taehyung's hands, his demon to bear, his decision how to face it. But his brother would be there. He always has been.

"The packs life is on your both shoulders. but, do what your heart says."
