Teddy holds me against him as I sob against his chest. Liam is still passed out on the couch and I have no idea what to say to him when he wakes up. I'm still shaking and I know Teddy is completely freaked out too. I gasp when I see Liam's eyes flutter open and I rush to kneel next to him beside the couch.

"Liam?" I gently call out and his eyes quickly find me. I watch him become confused and he says, "I feel weird." I immediately start crying and I grab his hand, "I am so sorry Liam. I am so sorry."

"For what?" He asks and I don't even know how to tell him. Teddy comes and sits on the chair across from Liam and he says, "Do you know what Topher just stuck you with?"

Liam shakes his head and his hand moves to his torso, "I saw the syringe but I can't say I know what the content was."

I swallow hard and shake my head, "Liam, the syringe contained a different kind of remedy. One that takes all abilities away." Teddy and I can hear Liam process everything and it's devastating. He has no idea his thoughts are flowing freely around him. Liam lifts his hand and he tries to become invisible. I watch him become frustrated and he forces himself to sit up. He grabs my wrist and tries to make it disappear. He looks to me in shock, "Everything is gone?" He asks and I nod my head. Teddy looks to him, "You don't have a shield anymore either."

Liam immediately realizes what that means and I choke out, "You should have just let him stick me with it Liam! I would have been okay! Your abilities are such a huge part of who you are." I start crying again and he shakes his head, "Ellie, you don't know what that could have done to the baby. As soon as I saw he had something in his hand I couldn't just let him hit you with it."

I put my face in my hands unable to process any of this. Teddy puts a comforting hand on my back and I hear him ask, "Do you feel different?"

I look back to Liam and he says, "I don't know. Kind of. I think I will feel different when I walk into a crowded room and I'm not drenched in whispers." Teddy nods and I wipe my face with the back of my hand. Liam rubs his hands down his face and I push his whispers away from me. I don't want to hear his thoughts like this.

He shakes his head but I hear his question before he's asks it, "Where is my dad now?"

I glance to Teddy and take in a deep breath before answering, "He's gone."

Confused, Liam asks, "He left?"

I shake my head, "No Liam, I..." I can't say the words. Teddy finishes the sentence for me, "Ellie did us a favor."

Liam looks to me and says, "What? Did you kill him? Is there a body in the street right now?" He immediately thinks of our nosy neighbor and I shake my head, "There is no body. But someone may have seen what I did."

Suddenly there is a knock at the door and all three of us panic. I look to Teddy in horror, "Who could that be?" He shrugs and we hear another knock. Teddy pops up off the chair and we watch him disappear into the hallway. I hear the door open and his voice but I can't hear anything else. I glance to Liam and he shrugs. I hear footsteps coming back down the hallway and I am stunned to see Leelah following behind Teddy. He glances to me and says, "So your neighbor would like to speak with you both."

I look to Liam and I am about to say something in my head to him and I'm devastated that we no longer have that luxury. Leelah glides into our living room and she glances between Liam and I before saying, "Does anyone else know that Christopher was just here?"

Stunned, Teddy, Liam and I just look to her in silence. How does our old weird neighbor know who Topher is? I shake my head and reply, "No. But I am extremely confused as to how you know my father in-law." We watch as she folds her hands in front of her and she says, "I am ex C.I.A, I was put in that condo there to keep an eye on you and Mr. Liam. We were worried that Christopher was up to something."

Liam shakes his head, "This whole time you have been living next door you knew who we were? You were on an assignment?"

She gives us a half smile as she says, "Not an assignment per-say, seeing as I am retired. But when my old director asked me if they could use me for a surveillance project I agreed. You two were lovely neighbors so the task wasn't all that hard." I look to Liam and am shocked our nosy neighbor was being nosy for a reason. I look to her and reply, "Did you just witness everything that happened?"

She nods, "Mrs. Ellie I have been working for the C.I.A for many years and have seen many things. But I have never seen a petite woman throw a grown man around like a rag doll and then turn him into ash. Christopher was right to be intrigued by you."

Liam whips his head toward me, "You turned Topher into ash?" I can't tell if he's upset or stunned. Teddy places his hand on my shoulder and I nod. Liam leans back against the couch and says, "I wish I would have seen that."

I am glad to know he's not upset with me. Leelah looks to Liam and says, "Your father has been a menace to that task force for years. I think the C.I.A might even give Mrs. Ellie some sort of award for disposing of him. That took some guts."

I want to let out a light laugh but I am still too upset to muster up one. Her soft eyes grow concerned as she looks to Liam, "What was it that Topher stuck you with dear? Do you know?" Liam looks to me and I answer, "It was some sort of solution that broke down our DNA. Liam no longer has any special abilities. Even the ones he was born with." I say and I expect her to know about our abilities. If she is aware of the task force, I assume she is aware of our talents. She probably even has some. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

She nods her head like this is what she was expecting to hear. Teddy looks to her and asks, "How much do you know?"

She nods, "This is going to sound slightly ironic to you, but that serum was not meant to ever find its way into Christopher's hands. It was supposed to find its way into his arm."

All of us are confused and she looks to Teddy, "Your parents are Pam and Theo Stark correct?"

Teddy nods, bewildered at how much this stranger knows. She smiles, "Your parents developed that serum. They were hoping to finish Christopher off. Get him completely out of the C.I.A. Someone on the inside betrayed your parents and helped him steal it."
