Chapter Three: The Nose Knows (Part 3)
"Listen Michio-Sensei, isn't that weird?" Tamaki questioned her sensei once more, still awaiting for his response.
"I can't believe it sensei! Tamaki is accusing me of not working for my grade. I mean, I should have seen it coming, especially since she beat me up that one time- don't you remember that sensei?" Kemmi innocently looked at his sensei, only glaring at Tamaki once Michio-Sensei was clearly transfixed with his own thoughts.
"Kemmi could be right Tamaki, you could be sabotaging Kemmi in order to advance higher than him in ranks," muttered Michio-Sensei. "Plus, you have no evidence."
Tamaki watched Kemmi's innocent smile curl into a devious smirk as Michio-Sensei motioned to pick up the paintbrush used to ink students. Tamaki told Michio-Sensei to stop, grabbing her sensei's attention once more.
"Yesterday, I came back to the classroom to grab my lucky eraser. I smelled a horrendous stench when I entered the classroom. The same musty stench is coming off of Kemmi right now sensei. I bet you even left the classroom locked after rushing Kichi, Snow and me out of there. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Kemmi pick-pocketed the classroom's door like he did when he assisted you in opening your briefcase whenever you lost the key that one day during class," explained Tamaki with passion, hoping that she could serve justice.
"So what? You don't have prove of that, you could be lying about smelling me. What if you were the one to switch your scores with someone else while Michio-Sensei was gone?" retorted Kemmi, gritting his teeth at Tamaki.
"You're forgetting one thing Kemmi. I'm an Okiayu and Okiayu's have an amazing sense of smell. The nose knows and I bet you I could sniff out your dirty hands on Snow's exam papers!" exclaimed Tamaki as she heard gasps behind her from her peers.
"That's outrageous! Sensei you don't believe-" Kemmi is cut off by Michio-Sensei.
"Okiayu's do have a powerful sense of smell. I remember being friends with one that could instantly smell out enemies while we were on missions, enabling us to get the upper hand in combat," noted Michio-Sensei. "Although Tamaki's evidence is faulty, I'm sure you wouldn't mind if she smelled your exam papers., along with Snow's"
A drop of sweat fell from Kemmi's forehead as he watched his sensei pull out two exam sheets for Tamaki to smell. Kemmi watched Tamaki smell the sheets of paper, leading to her claiming that the paper with Kemmi's name on it smelled a lot like Snow's scent, along with a hint of Michio-Sensei's and Kemmi's. Tamaki also mentioned how the paper with Snow's name on it smelled disgusting, causing her to gag a little before stating that it definitely smelled a lot like Kemmi's scent.
"Sh-She's lying Michio-Sensei!" yelled Kemmie furiously, motioning his fist toward Tamaki's head.
Before Kemmi's fist could make contact with Tamaki's head, he felt electricity zap his hand, causing him to clutch his hand in fear of electrocution. The electricity came from no one other than Takashi Hikari, the grey-haired male who can be seen sitting at his desk, ignoring the fact that his hair was an electrical mess. Usually Takashi kept to himself and tried to stay out of trouble, but apparently he was not having it this time.
"Look Michio-Sensei," started Takashi as he put his hand down after shooting out a wave of electricity at Kemmi's hand, "Tamaki's a blockhead, an actual goof, probably incapable of practicing non-abnormalities as a matter of fact-"
"Hey!" yelled Tamaki as she glared at the Hikari.
"Shut up short-stack, I'm helping you," snapped back Takashi as he continued, "Tamaki Okiayu is a lot of things, but she is certainly not a lying weasel like you, Kemmi. I'm not sure if you remember Michio-Sensei, but this delinquent is responsible for bullying Snow numerous times before Tamaki and Kichi stepped in. The only reason why Tamaki brutally beat him up that one time was because Kemmi and his little gang did the same to Snow. Although she probably had no right to do that, it was out of good intentions. In other words, Tamaki would never lie, she's too kindhearted to do that. Plus, this idiot, I'm referring to Kemmi this time, probably spelled Snow's last name wrong."
Tamaki looked at the paper that was labeled Snow's and realized that Kemmi spelled Snow's last name "Yucky" instead of "Yuki", just like how he tortured Snow by calling him "Snow Yucky" anytime he obtained the chance to bully him. Tamaki showed Michio-Sensei and explained the significance of how Kemmi spelled Snow's name. Thanks to Tamaki's kind heart and Takashi's vouch for Tamaki, Michio-Sensei realized that Kemmi did in fact switch papers with Snow without anyone's knowledge, resulting in Snow getting inked instead of Kemmi.
. . .
Tamaki, Kichi, Snow, Dramacus, Takashi and Shogo can be seen sitting at a table eating ice cream at the infamous ice cream shop in Shizen in order to celebrate the fact that they were able to become E-Ranked Shinobis.
"Th-Thank you Tamaki!" stuttered out Snow once everyone obtained their ice cream.
"Of course Snow, the fact that you didn't pass and Kemmi did just didn't settle correctly with me," smiled Tamaki, "And thank you Takashi for backing me up, I was afraid that Michio-Sensei wouldn't take me seriously after I beat the shit out of Kemmi that one time."
"Tch, I didn't like that conniving bastard anyways," muttered Takashi.
"Language!" yelled Kichi, starting an argument between her and Takashi.
As Takashi and Kichi bickered, Dramacus took this as an opportunity to pat Tamaki on the head, almost startling Tamaki. Tamaki asked Dramacus why she deserved such an action from her brother-like figure.
"You did good today," answered Dramacus as he beamed a soft smile at Tamaki.
Before Tamaki could respond, their conversation was ruined by vanilla ice cream being thrown at Dramacus's face. Steam came off Dramacus's face as the ice cream melted rapidly, barely leaving any residue due to Dramacus burning most of it off. Dramacus picked himself up out of his chair and placed his hands on the wooden table, applying a lot of pressure onto the table. Everyone but Kichi and Takashi, who were still transfixed with arguing with one another, noticed the table slightly become burnt wherever Dramacus placed his hand.
"Um, Kichi, Takashi, I think there's something wrong with Dramacus, I can feel the heat of his body," mumbled Snow as he struggled to keep up with his ice cream that was melting due to Dramacus's rapidly increasing body temperature.
Due to their arguing being interjected, Takashi was able to look at his hotheaded friend. Once realizing how hot Dramacus's body temperature was becoming, Takashi asked his dear friend if he was okay. Everyone watched as Dramacus turned his attention away from the floor slowly, making eye-contact with Takashi, whose vanilla ice cream hit Dramacus previously.
"If you know what's good for you five, then you better start running," grunted Dramacus under his breath, causing everyone to run for their lives as he mercilessly chased after Takashi.
Long story short, Dramacus chased Takashi throughout the day until he finally cooled down with a bucket of water being thrown at him by Tamaki later on.
