Chapter Four: Keiji-Sensei

With teams sorted out, Tamaki, Kichi and Snow reported to the training fields to meet their new instructor, Keiji-Sensei. For most students, it was quite nerve-wracking to meet their new instructor, especially since  he or she had every right to suspend someone from the team. The teams also depended on the instructor to teach them everything he or she knows about the life of a shinobi.

Tamaki did not find it hard to befriend any new stranger. Actually, to Tamaki, a stranger is just a friend she has not met yet. On the other hand, Kichi was not quick to trust any new person that happens to appear in her life. She did not mind befriending new people, but she avoided such actions if possible. Snow was not as outgoing as Tamaki when it came down to meeting new people, but he enjoyed making new friends once he got over his own shyness.

The only member that showcased any sign of nervousness was Snow; however, his doubts and worries were cured by Kichi's comforting words of encouragement. Out of their group, Kichi was the most mothering one while Tamaki was a fiery of chaotic energy, in other words, childish. Although it seemed as if Tamaki had no serious bone present in her body, she manages to surprise everyone when she does become serious (which is usually noticed whenever she straightens her posture). Snow was quiet, yet giddy whenever you place him in the same room with Tamaki and Kichi. Tamaki helped him maintain the child within him while Kichi assisted with sustaining some maturity (such as not procrastinating like Tamaki).

As the trio entered the training fields, they noticed other students being greeted by their new instructor. However, the three were not greeted by their own instructor, but greeted by the snores of a young man with shaggy, black hair. They noted the young man's attire being a green shirt accompanied with brown pants with several different sized pockets, all filled with what one could assume to be weapons to aid him in battle when needed.

Kichi sighed, "Please tell me this is some random guy."

Kichi's comment managed to wake the young man up. All three of them watched as Sleeping Beauty's imposter rose from the grass, stretching as he took a huge yawn. He rubbed his eyes and finally directed his attention to the trio.

"Greetings, I'm Keiji Nakamura. I'll be your new instructor until uh, I don't know, whenever?" lazily greeted the young male, who bore one blue eye while the other was red.

Kichi turned her back on the black-haired male, "Come on guys, let's go ask Michio-Sensei for a new instructor."

Keiji frantically jumped onto his feet, assuring Kichi that she did not have to find a new instructor. Tamaki responded by assuring her new sensei that Kichi was only joking anyways, elbowing Kichi before she stated that she was not joking. After getting introductions out of the way, Keiji decided to take the three out for lunch for some cuisine and a lovely place to sit at while they discussed several things. Once being seated at the table and ordering their meals, Keiji asked his new students a few questions while they waited for their meals.

Keiji's first question involved his students explaining what they found most enjoyable in life.

"I find people enlightening, especially my best friends. Although, at the same time, I dislike people too. People are just a bipolar topic in my opinion," stated Tamaki as she stared at the busy streets out her window seat.

"Death, I enjoy death and I'm not trying to be edgy or mysterious, I truly do. Without death, life would have no meaning. If we could never die, why do we live? Why would we try to enjoy every day as if there was an end coming soon, why would we hold people we love in high value?" answered Kichi without her monotone voice faltering.

"I love helping people. Assisting others gives me warm feelings. When Tamaki and Kichi helped me whenever I was being bullied, I was thrilled, especially when they wanted to become friends with me," softly smiled Snow as he fiddled with his fingers.

"That Kemmi guy had it coming to him I tell ya!" interjected Tamaki, slamming her fist on the table.

Kichi only sighed as Keiji encouraged such behavior from Tamaki, wondering what had occurred in their academy days.

"I handed that idiot's ass-"

"Tamaki, language!" interrupted Kichi.

"Oops, sorry! I handed Kemmi's ass-"

"Tamaki!"

Tamaki giggled as she was being pelted by Kichi's unopened straw.

"Basically, Kichi and I beat the tar out of Kemmi and his little gang," explained Tamaki with a proud look of determination.

"More like I kept his goons off of you by knocking them out gently by applying pressure on certain pressure points while you pummeled Kemmi without any mercy. I literally had to pull you off of him before I could save him the misery by gently knocking him out," inserted Kichi.

"Like I said, he had it coming to him. He was torturing our cute marshmallow bear," chuckled Tamaki as she squished Snow's facecheeks, adoring his child-like innocence.

"T-Tamaki!" whined Snow as he tried to peel off the Okiayu.

Kichi joined in the act of squishing Snow's facecheeks, causing him to whine even more. Keiji smiled as he watched the preteens interact, reminding him of his innocent days with his group members. It was not before long until their meals came to the table for each of them to enjoy. As they enjoyed their meals, more questions were asked with answers appearing with giggles and some scolding (from Kichi) behind them. The whole afternoon was delightful as Keiji and his students begin to create an everlasting bond. Although, it would not be long until such a bond between the trio would have to be tested.
