Yellowwing blinked as her sister, Nightpaw, stalked a mouse. "Why can't we go to the other border?" Yellowwing asked. "I asked Blackleaf, she hesitated and ran back to Shadow," Nightpaw replied. Blackleaf was the medicine cat before Flamecloud, the current ShadowClan medicine cat. The mouse scrambled into the Dark Forest, as they were hunting by the Place of No Stars border. "Mouse dung!" Nightpaw spat.
"Better luck next time," Yellowwing comforted the black she-cat. Yellowwing got into her nest and dozed off to sleep.
"Hello," called a bright orange she-cat with black paws, ears, and tail tip. "W-who are you?" Yellowwing hesitated. "I am Bright Shadow. I bring you a prophecy, to-" Yellowwing cut Bright Shadow off. "A prophecy? But StarClan cats don't receive prophecies! They give prophecies to cats in the 4 -I mean 5- Clans!" Yellowwing insisted. "You didn't let me finish. I'm giving you a prophecy, to pass on to a Clan cat," the ancient cat mewed.
"Pass on? To who?" Yellowwing tried to calm her voice.
"I'll tell you... After I say the prophecy."
"Ok... What's the prophecy?"
"Grass, lightning, water, fire, air: the elements will rise to the stars. Forgotten by all but leaves, they shall be known once more."
"Ok... That's easy to remember. But who do I pass it to? Hollystar? Flamecloud?"
Bright Shadow had a blank expression. "Coralfur," she mewed at last. Yellowwing gasped. "Coralfur? The RiverClan warrior? No! I won't deliver a prophecy to RiverClan!" Bright Shadow stared at her. "Suit yourself. Pay attention to the words of the prophecy. You're the only one I can tell the prophecy to," she meowed, her body bright orange body slowly fading. Yellowwing was confused. "I... I'll think about it," Yellowwing sighed, Bright Shadow had faded a couple heartbeats after she said that. The yellow tabby woke up. Grass, lightning, water, fire, air: the elements will rise to the stars. Forgotten by all but leaves, they shall be known once more, she repeated to herself in her mind.
