Chapter 1: A New Region
The sun shone on the clear blue waters of the sea, many Pokemon swimming, jumping, and playing with each other as a small black cruise ship pushed through the water. A girl around the age of fifteen, with black hair and sparkling amethyst purple eyes. She wore a pair of black pants with a gray short sleeve shirt with fire designs that read "Dauntless"and a Key Stone on a black necklace around her neck. "Well, Zoroark we are almost there. Touha is just a little farther," whispered the girl to the sleeping dark type. "Yeah..." it mumbled in response. At least that's what Aria heard. She stood to he full height (which wasn't much taller than a Delphox). She then walked over to her traveling partner, Zavier. He was wearing a dark blue sweater with gray jeans and black and blue running shoes. He also wore a black cap with blue highlights on backwards. "Zavier," she said, shaking the boy slightly. He didn't wake up. "Zavier!!" she yelled, causing the black haired boy to jolt awake. "What? Where am I? Are we there?" Zavier blearily looked up at the girl with his shiny silver eyes. "Oh hey, Aria. Have we reached Touha?" he asked. Aira rolled her eyes at the boy's cluelessness to his surroundings. "Yeah, and we're just about to dock soon too, sleepyhead," she told him, sounding somewhat angry. Aria and Zavier had been traveling for three years together. They had met while Aria was helping out Professor Birch in the Hoenn region for a study on Rayquaza. Zavier had been in Hoenn to try and take on the Hoenn League and ran into the Professor while on his way to get his last badge from Tate and Liza. There he met Aria, who was helping the Professor lift some supplies into his truck. He had offered to help, but she refused and continued her work. Aria wasn't the type of girl who really asked for help or ever really thought she needed it. However, Zavier always was looking for ways to help others, and never was one to give up. Now, they had traveled back to Aria's home region Kalos after the Hoenn League had been defeated, then to Alola where they stayed for about a year, and finally to Johto, Zavier's home region. There, they spent the last two years exploring. Now, they were on their way to the mysterious region of Touha. They had agreed to go to study the Pokemon in this region for Professor Sycamore and Professor Elm. The reason the Professors choose them to go is not because they are strong trainers, but because they can understand Pokemon like humans do each other. This was given to them when they were babies by none other than Arceus, the God of all Pokemon. Ever since they were babies, they have heard Pokemon speak like humans. Now, of course these Pokemon didn't sound human to other people, but to Aria and Zavier, they did.
Meanwhile, in the far reaches of the mountains of Touha stood a woman in a underground base. She had long, black hair, with the tips dyed the colors of the galaxy. Her eyes were green like grass, and her dress that of black gem-studded bell-bottom pants and a black coat with white dots and lines to resembling constellations. "Ms. Artemia, the prisoners are showing great power levels," said a man in a similar outfit to Artemia's, except in jumpsuit form. Artemia turned and looked at the man, "Good. Once the guardians power is ours I shall rule the cosmos and have the respect that I deserve!" Artemia explained. "Ms., don't we still need the guardians of death and storms?" questioned the man. "Well... yes, but we shall have them soon enough, my grunt," Artemia sighed, "soon enough."
Back at the far eastern shore of Touha, Zavier was jumping on the the tips of his toes. "Alright, Aria! Let's go find some Pokemon, and eat some food, and..." Zavier went on, happily naming thing he generally did in a new region. "First things first, Zavier, finding a place to stay for the night," Aria explained, slightly annoyed at the boy's cheerful approach, "then we can eat and we can catch and study Pokemon on the way. Now grab your bags, I'm not your maid." Zavier nodded quickly and grabbed his bag while Aris put hers on her back. The two walked through a dark forest and saw many pokemon, mostly ghost and dark types. "I wonder if we'll find the legendaries the professors were talking about. That would be really cool, wouldn't it, Aria?" asked Zavier. "Yeah, I guess. Which legendaries are supposed to be here again?" questioned Aria. "Lessee... Elm said that we should be able to find..." Zavier pulls out a list. "Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Cresselia and Lunala." Zavier looked at Aria. "Wow! That's a lot of legendaries!" he said. Aria looked back at Zavier over her shoulder and nodded. "Hey Zavier, are you hungry?" asked Aria. Zavier grinned. "Do you even need to ask?" Zavier happily responded. "Okay then, let's stop here for tonight," Aria stopped walking in the middle of a small clearing. "You can set up the tents while I get dinner ready." Aria then took off her bag placed in on the ground. Zavier took out the tents and studied them for a moment. Then he took out two PokeBalls. "C'mon out, Glaceon! You too, Lucario!" he exclaimed. He looked at Aria. "We have poffins, right? I need their help with this, and they'll probably be hungry after." Lucario nodded. "I'm already hungry, so yes to the poffins!" Glaceon agreed silently. Aria rolled her eyes at them and nodded. "Like Trainer, like Pokemon..." thought Aria. She reached deep into her bag, got out three PokeBalls and threw them into the air. "C'mon out, you guys!" exclaimed Aria. A Zoroark, Umbreon, and Mimikyu emerged from the balls. Soon enough, everyone went to work. Zavier finally got the tents up after getting stuck about four times and Aria finished the meal, even though when she was done she had to help Zavier out of the tent... again. They all sat down to eat and Aria had to hide some poffins from Zavier for herself and for her Pokemon. "Aria, do you feel that?" asked Zoroark. Aria tilted her head toward the side. A sharp pain erupted within her head. She felt dizzy and started to fall over. "Oww, my head..." Zavier moaned. "Aria, help... why does my head hurt so bad?" Aria didn't answer. She was curled up on the ground, holding her own head in pain and shaking. The two moaned in pain and soon the pain took over them and they passed out...
Aria woke up with a jump and looked around. "Where am I?" she asked herself aloud. "You are asleep my friend." whispered a voice. "Who's there and I am not your friend!" Aria shouted. "I am Xerna the guardian of Life and the Forest, and i need your help Aria." Xerna's voice explained. "Well all depends on what you need my help with." responded Aria a little suspicious. "I need you to save me and my friends and stop Team Cosmic before it's too late! Please help us Aria!" shouted Xerna as her voice faded away.
Meanwhile, Zavier was standing on a tall rock like tower high above the clouds. Then Rayquaza appeared in front of him. "Rayquaza what's going on? Where am I?" asked Zavier. "You are dreaming, but what i am about to tell you is very real." answered Rayquaza. Zavier gave him a questioning look. "You and Aria mst save the Guardians of the Legends and stop the sinister Team Cosmic for using their power." Rayquaza explained, "You and Aria are their only hope!" Zavier gave Rayquaza a determined look. "I promise to save them and stop Team Cosmic whoever they are!" exclaimed Zavier. Rayquaza nodded and faded away.
