Chapter 29. Intimacy

'Hey...'

Sideswipe sly greeting made me give him a glare. 'What are you doing here? I'm working.' I grabbed his arm and pulled him in the interrogation room. 'I know... it's just Uhm... I'm bored as hell. So is my brother, keep us occupied or give us something we can do!' He flashed me a smirk. 'Sunstreaker is here?' He nodded. 'Great, keep an eye on him and— ugh.' I opened the door to see Sunstreaker making a fuzz with a cop. 'Sorry, I'm sorry... he's with me.' I grabbed Sunstreaker's hand and pulled him away. 'You two need to get out of here! I'm busy and this is an important day.'

'I hate this shirt. A shame you changed it this morning.'

I didn't reply. 'Sideswipe, take him!' The silvery mech crossed his arms. 'Okay, that's it... I'm going to call Prime.' Both grabbed me. 'Nope, we are not.' They took me apart. 'Listen, I know you're... edgy but you can't expect us to stay home all day, doing nothing. So, what can we do?' I shook my head. 'No! This isn't happening.' Their cocky faces proved they weren't going anywhere. 'Sit here and behave.' I passed them. 'We're not dogs!' Sideswipe shouted after me but I waved him off and disappeared behind the corner.

I needed a moment. To realize in how much trouble I had gotten myself into, but then again, I kept picturing Sunstreaker's face. The agony that he had endured and how grateful he had been for my call. Sending him back means he'll get punished, most likely at least. My heart broke by thinking about it. The hug proved it last night. A reassuring touch, a little bit of affection and the proof that he was a living being.

I rubbed my forehead. How did I ever end up feeling this way for a murderer? I had a soft spot for him and sure as hell Sideswipe knew. Primus. Realization hit me. Pretending to hate Sunstreaker won't work anymore on Sideswipe. I got myself together and continued my day. I didn't question much of what the twins were doing, but by the time I finished, both were outside, mocking each other. I paused, studying Sunstreaker's handsome facial features and powerful muscles of his body. Just muscle upon muscle with soft, with slightly tanned skin covering them. People wouldn't believe it if I tell them he's a notorious serial killer. One of the most feared Autobots.

I walked down the steps and approached them. A silence ripped between them and I was keenly aware of Sunstreaker's piercing icy blue eyes following my every move. A predatory look. A gaze that said: I see you, one wrong move and I'll rip you apart.' My toes curled in my shoes as I met his gaze. My mouth dry, I tried to question something that wouldn't sound silly. Make Sunstreaker realize how curious I was of to what he and his twin had been doing. Instead, I said: 'I'm done. Shall we go home or do you have business here.'

He bared his teeth in a fierce smile. 'Assuming I've been plotting a murder all day, right?' His voice was cold and bitter. 'I didn't say that, just asking if you're done messing around.' Sunstreaker surveyed his twin before he answered. 'You said home... shall we go home.' He quoted me. I winced. 'So?!' He shrugged. 'Your home is our home now too?' He questioned, eyes gleaming a little. 'Whatever, Sunstreaker.' I passed him and walked up to my car.

Back home, I came to the dreadful realization that I still needed to cook. The mechs were hungry. It almost shocked me the amount of food they were able to consume. Hence, it was their only source of refuel, along with the gasoline both dreaded so much. 'Toxic stuff.' Sideswipe has scolded as he had watched me refuel his tank at a nearby gas station. There wasn't much else I could offer.

'Need help?'

My spine ran cold. Sunstreaker was just inches away, sharing his body head with me. 'I'm good.' Silence rippled between us, but I felt him pivoting. The warmness of his body leaving a cold hard slap behind. I looked over my shoulder, he returned to the couch to join his brother. Watching a random club play football.
That evening, Sideswipe went out for a patrol and left me to deal with his psychotic brother. While watching a reality show, his hand played with that deadly knife or his. Flipping and twisting it in all sort of direction without even once cutting his hand or fingers. My eyes were glued to the deadly blade. The sort of blade that tortured and killed so many people. The blade that was lethal in his possession.

'You like seeing me flip my knife?'

Sunstreaker kept his eyes fixated on the TV. 'It's just raking my nerves,' I scolded, looking away. His mouth kicked up at one corner. 'Right...' he stopped and put the knife back in the holster around his thigh. He wore the damn think almost day and night. He adjusted his position and his thigh touched mine. I didn't back away, just kept my eyes straight on the TV. 'Are you any closer on finding the murderer if your parents?' His voice had softened. I looked sideways, catching his gaze. 'Dead end I'm afraid. It can take months or years before the killer strikes again.'

'Most likely. Why don't you look at older cases? Sometimes, especially at the beginning of a serial killer's cycle, they experiment with different tactics, but there are similarities. Maybe you can find a pattern...' he paused, inhaling sharply before he added: 'Or you can take the files and we can have a look at it together.' Before I could answer, the front door open and Sideswipe prompted in like he owned the place. 'Ugh, I hate rain. Cost is clear though, I put on my internal scanners for tonight, just in case our con pops up.' He kicked his shoes aside and threw his jacket over the chair.

I moved away from Sunstreaker. 'Ugh, this show is boring. Isn't there anything exciting? Movie or whatever?' I looked at the TV. Sideswipe was right. It was a boring and cliche show, but Sunstreaker hadn't bothered changing the channel. Almost as if he hadn't actually paid attention it at all. 'I'm taking a shower, feel free to watch whatever you want.' I rose from my spot in the couch. 'We would've done that even if you decided to stay,' Sunstreaker replied, his darkening a little.

I walked passed them and headed towards shower. It only took me fifteen minutes to fully complete my evening routine. Walking into my room, I caught Sunstreaker sitting on my bed. 'Something you need?' I dropped my clothes on the desk.

He tracked every movement. Before I could react, he leaned for what, his hand wrapping delicately around my waist; willing his warmth into my body. My fingers curled around his spine as I mimicked his actions.

((Sunstreaker's P.O.V))

I buried my face in her neck. Every single one of my senses narrowed to that touch on my back. 'Sunstreaker?' I couldn't tell if it was a warning, request or something else, but I made no move. I grazed my nose against the damp column of her neck. Fuck, she smelled delicious. I did it again, unable to help myself. She tipped her chin up, exposing more of her neck to me. Yes... I almost groaned, my breathing increasing as I greedily nuzzled her neck, my lips brushing over her skin. It overrode every instinct and every pained memory.

She arched her back, leaning against me. I almost purred and ran my hands downward to that ass that had tortured me for days.

'Sunstreaker—'

Sky jumped out of my grip, her face flushing. Sideswipe came to a stop in the doorway, his eyes flickering between me and her. 'Right... bad moment, wasn't it?' I suppressed a groan while Sky's scenes still lingered through my nose. 'He was just leaving actually.' I ogled her body for one brief second. That body gorgeous, slim, and warm body.
'Right.' I quickly bailed out before she could make a snarky reply.

'What the hell was that?' Sideswipe whispered. I didn't know. Perhaps a miserable attempt to seduce her or just to have a female hold me like that. 'Just a hug. She needed a hug.' Sideswipe huffed our a laugh. 'I bet. Didn't seem like it, considered where your hands were located.' I rolled my eyes. 'So, you do like her after all?' I didn't reply. 'Hopefully it works out this time.' I wanted to punch that cocky grin off his face. 'Shut up, Sideswipe.'
