Chapter 15: We're not out of the woods yet.
Back on Earth...
"Have you seen these kids? Have you seen these kids?" Rita Loud was frantically handing out posters to everyone passing by her on the street. They were missing persons posters with a group photo of her kids on them. Her hair was a mess and she had bags under her eyes. Neither she, nor her husbands had gotten much sleep for the past week. "Please, my kids have gone missing. If you have any information..."
...
"It's so quiet without our babies here." Lynn Sr. cried as his wife returned home. "I miss them so much!"
"Have the police found anything?" Rita asked. While Rita was hanging up posters, Lynn Sr. had spent the entire day on the phone with the police department hoping they had some sort of lead.
"No not yet." Lynn Sr. said. "How could 11 kids just go missing like that?"
He turned on the TV.
Breaking news.
"This just in! in what might just be the case of the century. 11 kids who all live under one roof have gone missing without a trace! There is much speculation at this time but no concrete evidence. How on earth could 11 children all go missing at once? We will keep you updated as this baffling and tragic story unfolds."
Just then the doorbell rang.
It was Clyde.
"Mrs. Loud!" Clyde said. "We know what happened to Lincoln and the others!"
"You do? What?" Rita said, a spark of hope in her voice.
"Now I know this is going to sound crazy but..." Clyde started. "Your kids were abducted by aliens!"
"Clyde this is no time for jokes!" Rita scolded him.
"It's true, I saw it!" Clyde said.
"Clyde!" Rita brought a hand to her face. "Mr. Loud and I are trying to find some real leads. We don't have time for fantasy."
"Well technically aliens would be considered science fiction." Clyde said.
"THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS ALIENS!" Rita snapped, then she slammed the door.
...
"So, what we know for sure is that aliens are in fact real." Agent Jay led Bowser (who he had made a deal with a few chapters back) into the observation room overlooking the room containing the Rift.
The rift had since doubled in size. Now black vines had slithered out of the rift and had taken up root in the ground below it.
"Man, that rift looks like something out of a horror movie." Jay said as he walked over to his computer. "Something big is coming through that thing. I don't know what, but it has something to do with that Loud family." Jay dug through the files on the computer. "Oh dang! Now this IS interesting."
"Hma hahaha." Bowser laughed. "How trusting, yet naïve of you to bring me here alone." Bowser pulled out a gun and aimed it at agent Jay. "Once I've gotten rid of you, and have accessed the SCP's files, I will have untold power."
Jay smirked as he turned around. Jay pulled out a remote control and pressed a button on it. Auto turrets armed with machine guns appeared in the room and aimed directly at Bowser.
"Do you really think I'm gonna trust a giant fire breathing snapping turtle who's name literally means demon king." Jay said.
"Bwa ha ha ha." Bowser laughed. "I knew you would try something like this, agent Jay."
Then a floating Koopa dressed as a wizard, holding a magic wand appeared behind Bowser.
"This is Kamek." Bowser said. "He is a master of the mystical arts."
Kamek waved his wand and all the turrets turned into water guns.
"Oh, I am very familiar with Kamek." Jay scoffed. "That's why I had one of my agents hunt him down, and when he wasn't looking, my agent used a specialized dart gun to imbed a tiny explosive device in his wand."
"What, how is that even possible?" Kamek said.
KA-BOOM!
Kamek exploded into a splatter of black goo.
"Science 1, magic 0" Jay taunted.
Then an army of SCP agents flooded the room, all with high tech rifles aimed at the Koopa King, ready to fire.
"Heh, I figured you knew about Kamek and his magic." Bowser explained. "But I happen to know something about you organization as well. I know that each SCP agent has a microchip implanted in their brain, so their memory can be erased should they retire, or be fired. With that knowledge I simply had to have one of my brilliant tech experts hack into your system so I can use those chips to control the minds of every agent of the SCP! Including you."
The agents all lowered their guns and kneeled before bowser chanting "All hail Bowser."
Agent Jay however remained standing. "Oh, I knew you knew about the microchips, so I cut mine out with a pocketknife." Jay held up a bloody pocketknife.
"Well you are still in a room full of my now mind controlled zombie slaves." Bowser said as all the mind-controlled agents now aimed their guns at agent Jay.
"Wow, I would be shaking in my boots if it wasn't for one thing." Jay said, as a red dot appeared on Bowser's forehead. "I already told my friend agent Phil about your whole mind control scheme, along with a few others. Right now they are in a helicopter with a sniper aimed at you through the skylight. Not only that, but I have this."
Agent Jay pulled out another device and pressed a button on it. All the mind-controlled agents in the room fell to their knees as high pitched ringing echoed in their ears.
"EMP" Jay said. "Disrupts the signals in the chips. It's not fatal, but it will give them head ach for a while. Now I would love to continue this party, but I gotta bounce."
Jay made his way out of the room.
...
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Leni screamed as she was carried through the air by what looked like some sort of giant hawk.
The hawk dropped her in her nest with a thud.
Leni got back to her feet. She heard an excited chirping sound. She found she was surrounded by what looked like a bunch of baby birds covered in soft white feathers. The babies where about the size of a common house cat.
"Aww," Leni cooed, "You guys are so cute. Did your mommy bring me here to play with you?"
Then the baby birds tackled Leni to the ground. At first Leni thought the birds were just playing. But then they started pecking at her and drawing blood.
"Stop it, you're hurting me!" Leni yelled.
Soon Leni realized she had not been brought here to be friends with the babies, she had been brought here to become their next meal. She picked up what looked to be a thigh bone lying beside her and swung it at the baby birds.
"Get back!" Leni yelled, as she slowly backed away from the creatures trying to eat her. "Wwwaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!" Leni fell backwards over the side of the nest and hurdled toward the ground.
She was caught in midair by some sort of soft sticky hammock.
"Oh no!" Leni said, realizing she had fallen into a giant spider-web.
She looked up and screamed at the top of her lungs. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"
An enormous black spider was making its way toward Leni. Eight black eye trained on her, and venom dripping from its twitching fang.
"NNNnnnnnnnnoooooo!!!!" Leni screamed as the spider was about to sink it's fangs into her flesh.
Suddenly the giant hawk from before swooped in and snatched the giant spider before it could eat Leni.
The bird's claws stabbed into the spider's flesh killing it instantly before the giant bug was carried to the birds nest.
The web broke. Leni quickly grabbed a silky strand and swung to the nearest tree branch. She climbed the tree until she got a good look at the bird's nest.
"Ew." Leni said upon seeing the baby birds enjoying a meal of giant spider. "Well... better him than me. Or is it, better her than me?"
Leni climbed her way back to the ground.
Once at the base of the tree she heard a deep growling. She looked around to see another pack of those wolf-eel creatures that had attacked the group the night before.
"Um... nice doggies." Leni said. "I mean you no harm."
Then the ground started to rumble, and the trees began to shake. The creatures surrounding Leni all ran off. Leni looked up to see a massive triangular ship descending from the clouds. Smaller, yet still enormous round saucer-like ships broke off from the triangular one.
"Red!" Leni said. Then she saw someone standing in the woods.
It was a man about average height. He was dressed head to toe in green armor and had a green and silver helmet covering his face.
"Can I help you?" Leni asked.
Then the man aimed a gun at her and shot a blast of red energy that just missed Leni and hit the tree behind her.
"WWWAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!" Leni ran away screaming. "Isn't there on this planet that doesn't want to kill me!"
...
Michael Zax and Gaya walked through the woods heading toward a Bsepotican research center.
"What's your deal with raptors anyway?" Michael asked Zax.
"What do you mean?" Zax replied.
"That speech earlier about the research stations being a front," Michael said. "It feels like you're associating us with something we're not. I don't know what, but it feels like you're kind of projecting something."
"My deal isn't with you, it's with the Red King." Zax replied.
"Well... why the hate boner?" Michael asked. "It's almost like you want him to be worse than he is."
"BECAUSE HE WAS MY BROTHER!!!!!" Zax snapped.
"Uh... what?" Michael said.
"Not my actual literal brother." Zax said. "We're not really related; I don't even know what species he is. But him and I, we were as close as any brothers could be.
I don't know how old he was when I met him. He was raised by the raptors. He looked like a teenager, though he claimed to be over a thousand years old at the time. Didn't matter really, we became friends. He even dated my sister."
"It's true he did." Gaya added.
"We were like a team." Zax said. "Me, my sister, that weird worm thing that took over other creatures bodies, and Red."
"And yet you claim he destroyed your entire planet?" Michael asked.
"Not exactly." Zax replied. "He didn't directly destroy it. He really does make it a point to avoid destroying any planets with life. But one day...
My planet was about to be destroyed by an asteroid the size of a mountain. The Red King could have stopped it, but he was busy."
"With what?" Michael asked.
"He was looking for planets with humanoid life forms. Species that looked like him. I think he was trying to find his true people, to find out what he was. Meanwhile my entire world was destroyed while he was out soul searching at the other end of the galaxy."
"Did he find them? His people? Did he ever find out what he really was?" Michael asked.
"Believe it or not he found dozens of worlds with humanoid creatures. But he never really found what he was looking for." Zax explained. "I think in a way, he's still searching."
"What was he looking for?" Michael asked.
"I don't know." Zax shrugged the question off.
KA-BOOM!!!!!
The trio turned to see a beam of blue light in the distance, shooting into the sky
...
"What direction did that thing take Leni?" Lincoln asked.
"Uh that way." Luna pointed in the direction Leni was taken.
"Oh, we really need to find her." Lynn moaned. "I said some awful things to her. Things that I really need to take back."
"We'll find her." Lincoln said, placing an arm on his sister's shoulder. "Don't worry."
"It should have been me," Lynn said. "That giant bird thing should have taken me instead of Leni. Goodness knows your life would be a lot easier without me around."
"Hey, don't say that." Lincoln said with a soft smile.
"It's true though." Lynn said. "All I ever do is cause you pain."
"Lynn, my life would be a lot more boring without you around." Lincoln smirked.
"Really?" Lynn said.
"Yeah, you always have some sort of game or sport to play," Lincoln smiled. "Even if you have to invent a new one. And don't worry, we are going to find Leni. Even if it takes weeks, even if it takes months...."
"GUYS RRRRRUUUUUUNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!" Leni came running toward the group screaming at the top of her lungs.
"Wow, that was easier than I thought." Lincoln said.
"LENI!" Lynn sparked with joy as she ran to her older sister.
"Oh my gosh Leni! I am so sorry!" Lynn cried as she hugged Leni, burying her face into Leni's dress.
"Oh, it's ok..." Leni knelt down and hugged Lynn back.
"No it's not ok." Lynn cried. "I was totally mean to you and called you a retard. I... I didn't mean it though. You're not a retard Leni. I am so sorry for what I said! Please forgive me."
"I forgive you Lynn." Leni stroked Lynn's hair. "Don't worry, I'm here now."
"Yeah how did you get away in the first place?" Lori asked.
Leni got back to her feet. "Well, that big bird thing brought me to her nest so she could feed me to her babies. But then I got away from the babies, as cute as they were, then I fell out of the nest. Then there was big scary spider that wanted to eat me. But the giant bird killed the spider and fed that to her babies instead."
"So, what were you running from?" Luna asked.
"Huh? Running?" Leni cocked her head to the side with a confused look on her face.
"You were just running toward us, bra," Luna said. "you were yelling that we should run. Run from what?"
"oh yeah!" Leni said. "Um... I forgot."
Then a blast of red energy shot out of the woods. The man in green armor came flying toward them with a jet pack.
"OOOOOOOHHHHHH, now I remember." Leni said. "It was a crazy guy with a gun."
...
"What in the world?" Zax said to the others.
"It's gotta be Lincoln." Michael said. "His powers glow blue like that."
"What do you think happened to him?" Gaya asked.
"I've got no idea. But I sure hope he's alright." Michael said.
"Maybe we should head in that direction." Zax suggested. "He might need our help."
"For once, I think you might be right." Michael said.
"But if we don't get to that research station, you won't get new sings." Gaya pointed out.
"I think it's more important to help the rest of our pack." Michael said.
"Oh, how noble of you." Came a deep voice from somewhere in the trees. "Real strong talk coming from a traitor."
"Who the heck was that?" Gaya asked.
Then something shot out of the woods and tackled Michael to the ground.
Michael got up with a groan.
"You?" He said once he saw who had tackled him.
It was another raptor. One that looked quite different from Michael.
Unlike Michael, this raptor had organic wings, however much more of this new raptor's body was robotic.
Both of its eyes were glowing red robot eyes that shined like hot coals against its black snout. Both of its arms and one of its legs were completely mechanical. It's chest was made of a metal plate, and it's lower jaw was made of metal. Its mouth was full of sharp, pointy metal teeth.
Its back and wings were covered in smooth feathers as black as the night.
"Uh, do you know this guy?" Gaya asked.
"His name is Crow." Michael explained. "He's a bounty hunter."
"What happened to your wings mate?" Crow asked and a deep dark gravelly voice. "You sell them for drug money."
"What do you want crow?" Michael said.
"I want you Mikey." Crow said. "You're a traitor to the crown, and the Red King has put a hefty bounty on your head. You're wanted dead or alive. And it makes no difference to me which one."
"You don't always work for the Red King either Crow." Michael pointed out. "You've taken down many targets in the Kings ranks."
"Well I'm a mercenary mate." Crow said. "I work for whoever pays me. Everyone knows that. You on the other hand. You were part of the Red Kings army. You even have some of your own offspring in his employ. You have a duty to the king, and you broke that duty, doing I really don't give a shite what.
But now I find you here with the Red King's arch nemesis. Tell me mate, what would your daughter think of this?"
"The Red King and I were friends once." Zax said.
"Stay out of this pretty boy!" Crow snapped. "I'll be dealing with you soon enough."
"There are three of us, and only one of you." Gaya pointed out. "What do you hope to accomplish?"
Crow aimed one of his metallic clawed hands at Gaya. Then a small rocket shot out of Crow's arm and struck right below Gaya's feet, sending her tumbling back a few feet.
"Quite a lot actually" Crow smirked.
"I told you rockets cost extra." Michael said.
"I thought you were joking." Gay said, getting back to her feet.
"Well I was," Michael said. "But my people can get rockets installed on any prostatic limb. And it really does cost extra."
Crow pressed a button on wrist and her turned invisible. "Ah hehehehehe."
"Shit." Michael proclaimed.
...
"alright girls," Lori said. "Everyone find a weapon. If we all rush this guy at once, maybe we can take him."
"Hey Lincoln!" Leni said. "I also found this for you." She tossed the lightsaber and Lincoln. Lincoln caught it and ignited the blue blade.
The man in green shot laser blasts at the group. Lincoln was quick to deflect them with the lightsaber.
The man in green pulled out a small round explosive device and tossed it at Lincoln.
"Look out Lincoln!" Lynn yelled. She did a summersault and rolled over to Lincoln. She then picked up the explosive device and chucked it back at the man in green. The device then exploded in the man's face.
"Nice throw." Lincoln complimented.
"Thanks." Lynn said, "that's the kind of thing I'm good for."
"See Lynn, you're super valuable to our family." Lincoln smiled.
As the man in green got back to his feet, Lori picked up a large stick. She swung it as hard as she could. Hitting the man in the head with a loud THWACK!
"Take that you wannabe Mandalorian!" Lori taunted.
"It's time for some hard rock dudes!" Luna yelled picking up a rock. She then hurled the rock at the man in green. It struck him in the head denting his helmet.
Lincoln used his powers to levitate some vines and wrap them around the man in green. Then he lifted the man in the air and slammed him to the ground.
The siblings gathered around the man in green armor.
"Ok gang," Lori said. "Let's see who this guy really is."
"There's a Scooby Doo pun here, I just can't think of it." Luan said.
The louds gasped as Lori took off the man's helmet.
"holy cow! What is that?" Luan said.
"Ew he's gross!" Lola gaged.
"He's some kind of hideous fish person!" Luna winced.
"Guy's you're being so mean!" Leni said. "True beauty is on the inside."
"Wait that's not a fish person." Lori said, helping the man to his feet. "It's literally Hollywood actor Steve Buscemi."
"Gee you girls are really flattering, you know that?" Steve said with heavy sarcasm as he brushed the dirt off himself. "Seriously though, how the hell do ya make any friends being as rude as you are? No wonder my employer wants you dead."
"Wants us dead?" Luna said.
"Who hired you?" Lincoln asked.
"I'll tell you," Steve said. "On one condition..."
"Ugh, what condition?" Lori said.
"If that girl in the purple gives me that alien weed she's hiding." Steve said.
"Uhh..." Luna said, "I don't have any alien weed."
"Sure, you do, I can smell it." Steve said.
"What?" Luna said.
"Luna, just give him the drugs." Lori sighed. "You really shouldn't have them anyway."
Luna pulled out a bag of the glowing alien plants. "Ok, here you go. And, sorry for calling you ugly."
Steve snatched the bag from Luna.
"What do you want with that stuff anyway?" Luna asked.
"What do you think?" Steve said, opening the bag. Then he dumped the entirety of the bag's contents into his mouth.
Suddenly Steve's pupils grew to enormous size.
"Oh no." Lori said, putting her face in her palm.
"WOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!!!!!!!" Steve shouted at the top of his lungs. Then he stripped completely naked and ran off into the woods screaming. "WOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The louds jaws dropped at what had just happened.
"Well what was the point in all that?" Lola asked.
"Just a big waste of time, that's what." Lincoln said.
"Well we do know that somebody in the galaxy really wants us dead." Lynn said.
"Which probably means that us crashing on this planet was no accident." Lucy added.
"Well if they wanted to hire an actor to kill us," Luna said. "They should have hired Chuck Norris."
"Well we can figure all this out once we get back to Shipzilla." Lori said. "Lana, do you still have those parts in your pocket."
"Yeah, but I don't know if they'll work." Lana explained.
"Shouldn't we try to rescue Steve?" Leni asked.
"We uh... we can figure that out once we get the ship up and running." Lori explained.
"Ok, but I don't think he'll last long out there." Leni said.
...
Zax, Gaya, and Michael ran through the forest.
"I think we could probably take that guy." Zax said. "We do have powers, and my sister can control the entire forest."
"Won't do much good if we can't see the guy." Michael said. "Trust me, Crow is dangerous and unpredictable, you'll wanna stay as far away from him as you can." Then a rocket shot out of nowhere and exploded next to the group.
Michael regained his footing and sped off.
"Dang that guy is fast." Zax said, feeling out of breath.
...
"There it is!" Lori called out as they reached the wreckage of Shipzilla. "Man am I glad to see this again!"
Lori climbed into the ship.
"Pal are you ok?" Lori asked.
The ship's computer lit up. "Lori! You're not dead! When my drone was destroyed I thought you had been killed by that monster."
"No, I think the monster was actually killed. Either by Michael's venom, or from falling off that cliff." Lori explained.
"Did any of the others make it?" Pal asked.
"Michael, Zax, and Gaya fell off the cliff. I don't know what happened to them." Lori said. "I assume they died. But the good news is that all my siblings made it."
"Oh, even the little one?" Pal asked.
"Yes, Lily made it too." Lori smiled.
"YAY!!!!" Pal exclaimed.
Then the other siblings climbed into the ship.
"Oh man, how are we going to fix all this." Luan said, looking at the wreckage.
Luna looked at the shattered windshield. "Gonna be hard to travel in space without a windshield."
"I have some spare parts in storage, should be an extra windshield." Pal explained.
The siblings went silent and starred at the computer in disbelief.
"What?" Pal said.
"You literally had the parts we needed in storage this whole time?" Lori growled.
"Not exactly." Pal said. "I don't have what we need to fix the engine. Just a spare windshield, some mixed tapes, some drones, that old DNA scanner Lisa wanted, and some spare tires. Though I don't really know why you would need spare tires on a spaceship."
"Can these fix the engine?" Lana pulled the spare parts from Zax's ship out of her pocket.
"Hmm, that one piece you got their looks like a piece of a dark matter drive that can replace the broken drive in our own engine." Pal said. "Aside from that, I think if you just move some things around and tighten some bolts. You should be able to get the engine working enough to get us off planet at least."
"Dark matter drive?" Lana said, looking at the pieces in her hands. "Gee I don't know, I've never dealt with this sort of advanced alien sci fi stuff. But I guess I'll give it a try. After all, what other option do we have?"
...
One of the raptor's saucers hovered close to the ground in a clearing on the planet. The Red King was beamed to the ground along with a couple of enormous raptors about the size of a gorilla, and with huge muscles to match. Each of the two large raptors held large machine guns.
Along with them was a group of normal sized raptors each carrying a laser assault rifle.
"Now remember I want those kids alive." Red said to the team.
"This is a big planet. They could be anywhere." One of the larger raptors said.
"There's a volcano south of here." The Red King pointed out. "We'll just smoke 'em out."
The Red King snapped his fingers and a loud boom thundered in the distance.
"What the?" One of the raptors looked back to see a bright yellow and orange light in the distance.
"I made the volcano erupt." Red explained. "I'd explain how that works, but I think the audience would just get bored."
Then a pack of the wolf-like creatures with eel heads rushed out of the woods, looking to chow down on the Red King and his men.
The Red King motioned at the creatures and the two big raptors opened fire. Hundreds of laser blasts cut through the creatures like paper.
The Red King looked into the foreboding forest.
"If you wanna find a needle in a haystack," Red said, as fireball ignited in his hands, "Burn down the hay stack." He shot fireballs into the trees igniting the forest.
...
Lana opened the hood of Shipzilla to look at the engine. It looked similar to an engine you'd find in a car, but different, more advanced with many parts Lana didn't recognize.
"Gee," Lana said, "Where do I even start?"
"Hello puppet." Came a deep mincing voice that sent chills down Lana's spine.
"Who's there?!?!" Lana said.
"Up here, little one." Lana pulled down the ships hood to look in the direction the voice was coming from. At first, she didn't see anything, but then a raptor seemingly materialized on top of the ship.
"Michael?" Lana said at first. But then she realized this was not the friendly raptor Michael. This one had black feathers and both of his eyes were mechanical. "Wait, you're not Michael."
"No, I'm not." The Raptor jumped to the ground. "Name's Crow."
"Oh, like the bird." Lana said.
"The what?" Crow replied.
"Uh, never mind." Lana said. "I'm..."
"Lana Loud," Crow cut her off.
"Uh, how did you know my name?" Lana said.
"Everyone in the galaxy knows who you are, love." Crow said, inching closer and closer to Lana.
Lana started to get uncomfortable and took a step back. "They do?"
"Oh sure!" Crow said. "You blokes are famous. The Loud Family, the ones who've been giving the old Red King the slip. A lot of drama going on over something as small as you."
"Well, I guess we're tougher than we look." Lana said with a nervous laugh.
"The Red King said he wants your brother alive," Crow said, starting to invade Lana's personal space. "But he never specified on the rest of you lot. And you look mighty tasty to me."
"Excuse me?" Lana said with a shocked look on her face.
Then Crow snatched Lana up in his claws.
"HHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLP!!!!!!" Lana screamed.
Crow opened his mouth wide revealing his sharp metal teeth, drool dripping from both of his jaws. Then something tackled Crow from the side and he dropped Lana to the ground.
Lana got up to see Michael wrestling with Crow. The two raptors claws and bit at each other like a couple of mad dogs.
"LANA! Are you ok?" Lori rushed out of the ship.
"We heard you scream, what's going on." Lincoln fallowed.
Then they saw the raptors fighting.
Zax and Gaya ran out of the woods next.
"Holy crap you guys are alive!" Zax said.
"Hey, do you guys hear that?" Leni poked her head out of the ship.
"Lana's scream, or the alien dinosaurs literally battling to the death?" Lori asked.
"No, it's something else." Leni said
"Yeah I hear it too." Lana added. "it sounds like when you pour milk on cereal. Like a crackling sound."
Everyone went silent, even Michael and Crow stopped fighting.
They felt the ground start to rumble.
"Well whatever that sound is, I think it's getting closer." Lori pointed out. A distant crackling sound could be heard in the distance. The sound was slowly growing louder, and louder.
Crow sniffed the air.
"Wildfire." Crow said. "No paycheck is worth risking that sort of pain." Then Crow flew off into the trees.
Then a bunch of animals burst out of the forest. Wild creatures to bazar to describe. All of them fleeing as fast as possible past the Louds and the ship.
"Dudes look!" Luna pointed to the sky. A massive eagle-like creature soured overhead. It's wings were set ablaze, leaving a trail of smoke behind it.
"Ow that poor bird." Leni said.
"Isn't that the same bird that tried to feed you to it's young." Luna asked.
"I hope her babies are ok!" Leni said.
"They're probably not." Michael said. "And we'll be toast too if we don't get the heck out of here. And when I say toast, I mean that literally."
"We're going to turn into cooked bread?" Leni said.
"No, I mean we're going to be toasted. A forest fire is coming this way." Michael said. "And I think that rumbling was the volcano erupting. No doubt the cause of the fire."
Then a saucer hovered overhead. A red light shined from the saucer and scanned the area. Then the saucer flew off.
"Or maybe the fire was caused by something else." Zax suggested, "Or someone. That was a Bsepotican saucer. The Red King is hear."
"Come on, you don't really think he'd burn down an entire forest, just to find us. Do you?" Michael asked.
"Either way, we need to get out of here," Gaya said. "Is there any way we can get this hunk of junk flying."
"I've been trying to repair the engine with the parts from Zax's ship." Lana explained. "But I can't figure this thing out."
"Let me take a look." Michael suggested.
Soon smoke started to fill the air. The orange glow of flames could be seen in the trees.
"Uh guys," Lincoln said, pointing into the woods. "He's here."
The group could see the dark silhouette of the Red King emerging from the forest. The growing light of the fire behind him cast his body in shadows making him appear as a dark menacing shape getting closer and closer, with glowing red eyes piercing through the darkness.
"I literally just peed a little." Lori mentioned.
"Well, well, well." Red said, his smirking face becoming clearer as he emerged from the shadows. "If it isn't my old pal Zax, and my old squeeze Gaya. And by the looks of it, you two found the exact group of people I've been looking for. How very kind of you to do that for me."
"I'll hold him off," Gaya suggested. "The rest of you, get the ship up and running."
"Gaya, I don't know if you can take this guy." Lori said.
"Gaya's the strongest woman I know." Zax pointed out. "If anyone in this universe has a chance to take on the Red King, it's her."
"Well, the antient Greeks did believe Gaya to be a goddess." Lisa pointed out.
"Gaya just remember. Whatever you do to him, happens to me too." Lincoln pointed out.
"I won't hurt him too bad." Gaya said, making her way to the red king.
A group of raptors marched out from behind the Red King.
"Can't she just make some peanut plants grow around him or something?" Lori said. "That's the only thing that can really hurt him."
"She can only use the plants around her." Zax informed Lori.
Gaya summoned a wave of giant roots to come out of the ground and snatch up the Red King's raptor minions and throw them in the air.
The Red King used his telekinetic powers to float the raptors safely back to the ground.
"Surround the group, only fire when I give the order." Red ordered his men.
Gaya shot a barrage of small crystals from her hands like some sort of machine gun. The Red king threw up a wall of psychic energy to block the crystals.
"Oh, come on babe, you don't want to do this." Red said.
"You cannot call me babe anymore. We are no longer together." Gaya said. "You have set fire to this forest; you have insulted nature."
The Red King looked back at the growing fire. "Maybe I did get a little carried away. But I think you know very well why those kids are so important to me. And I think if you were in my shoes, you'd get a little overzealous yourself."
"I would respect nature." Gaya growled.
"Oh really?" The Red King smirked. "Now don't think I don't know about some of the fucked-up shit you and your brother have already done in the name of beating me."
"You do not know me anymore!" Gaya said. "Nor do you know my brother!"
"Oh, but you know me." The Red King said with a cocky yet dark smile. "And you know my brother. And something tells me you really don't want to piss him off."
"Gaya! We got the engine working!" Michael called out, as the ship began to float off the ground.
Gaya gave Red one last look of both anger and shock, then she ran back to the group.
"Michael!" The Red King called out. "What the hell man, I thought we were friends!"
"I don't care who you are Red." Michael called out. "I won't let you hurt these kids!"
"Michael you idiot! I'm not..." Before the Red King could finish his sentence, Michael and the others had boarded Shipzilla.
As Shipzilla was taking off, Blue rushed out of the forest.
"Wait come back!!!!!" Blue yelled. "You're making a big mistake!"
...
The Loud siblings starred out the window as Shipzilla climbed higher into the atmosphere.
"Oh my gosh." Lori said.
They could see a fire stretching fore miles and miles.
"So much destruction." Lori said.
"That's kind of his thing you know." Zax said. "Wherever the Red King goes, destruction follows."
"Who was that one raptor that came running out at the end there?" Leni asked. "It looked like she was trying to tell us something."
"That..." Michael said, in a slalom voice. "Was Blue. My eldest daughter."
"Whoa, drama." Luna said.
"You have kids?" Lori said.
"I had 20 of them." Michael replied.
"Wow, 20 kids?" Lincoln said. "And I thought my family was big."
"That's actually common for my species." Michael said.
"Wait, what did you mean by had?" Luna said.
"Well some of them have. Well they're not around anymore." Michael said.
"Where did they go?" Leni asked.
"They're dead, Leni." Michael said. "A fair chunk of my kids have died."
"Aw you poor thing." Leni said.
"If you don't mind my asking, what happened?" Lori asked.
"Your buddy Zax and his war against my people happened." Michael said.
A shocked look spread across Zax's face. "Uh..." The alien hipster was speechless.
"I know you didn't mean for anything like that." Michael said. "And I know plenty of families have been destroyed on both sides. I know you and The Red King don't want to kill anyone innocent, just each other."
"I'm, I'm sorry." Zax said.
"Forget it." Michael said. "I've been dealing with this crap for over a hundred years. Once we get back to the Gem, or whatever the heck you call your main ship, I only ask that you give me my own ship so I can fly as far away as I can. And never have anything to do with you or the Red King."
"Yeah, I can do that." Zax said.
Lori looked out the window. The ship was now just out of the atmosphere. Nearly the whole planet was visible now.
"I never thought I'd say it." Lori said. "But I'm actually glad to be back in space."
"Hey, Gaya." Lincoln said. "When you were talking with the Red King back there. I swear I heard him mention having a brother. Does the Red King have a brother?"
"Yes, he does." Gaya said.
"Um Gaya," Zax said. "I'm not sure they really wanna know about The Red King's brother."
"Actually, I am kind of interested now." Lori pointed out.
"Who's the Red King's Brother?" Lincoln asked. "Does he have powers too?"
"He is not anyone you have met." Gaya said dismissively. "I... I've already said too much."
"Hey, Pal" Zax said. "I'm going to punch in the coordinates to The Gem. Can you take us there?"
"You're not going to send me to the scrap yard, are you?" Pal said.
"Um actually, I have some use for you. And the Loud family." Zax said.
Soon the ship jumped into hyperspace.
The Gem was stationed just outside the system of the jungle planet, so it only took a second for Shipzilla to reach it in hyper speed.
A hanger on the Gem opened so Shipzilla could dock.
"So, what's the plan now?" Lori asked. "You take us back to Earth, and we give you enough peanut butter to defeat the Red King? Wow that is a sentence I never would have imagined saying."
"Um actually," Zax said, stepping over to Shipzilla's computer. "Getting peanut butter is one thing, exposing it to the Red King is another. I'm going to punch in some coordinates on your ships computer. It's an underground casino."
"It's in the ground?" Leni said.
"Um actually," Zax said. "Underground just means that it's owned by criminals. A dangerous crime boss is holding a poker tournament there."
"Wait, how do aliens know how to play poker?" Lori asked.
"This is a cartoon Lori," Lincoln said. "Don't overthink it."
"Deep in the vault of the casino, the crime boss keeps a collection of stolen weapons." Zax explained.
"So, what's the crime boss's name?" Lincoln asked.
"They call him, Vinny the Bug." Zax said. "You'll know him when you see him.
In the vault is a laser from one of The Red King's ships. One used to destroy planets."
"You're not going to blow up a planet, are you?" Lori asked.
"No, I mean to use it as leverage against the singularity." Zax said. "I'm not even going to fire it I just intend to use it as a bluff."
"Give me your word you won't use this thing to hurt innocent people." Lori said.
"you have my word. I will not use the super doomsday laser to hurt innocent people." Zax said.
"And that you'll bring us back to Earth once we get this for you." Lori demanded.
"Yeah, yeah I'll bring you back to Earth." Zax said. "So I've put the coordinates to Vinnie's casino into the computer as well as the blueprints to the building. It'll take a few days to get there, and if Lincoln is as good at making plans as he claims, you guys should be able to figure something out by the time you get there. Gaya and I will meet you there, we have some things to take care of."
"What about me?" Michael asked.
"Right," Zax said. "We have plenty of ships in this hanger for you to choose from."
"Good, first I have a few things I need to tell the Loud Family." Michael turned to the Loud Siblings.
"Well it's been an honor to meet you kids." Michael said.
"Well do you have to go?" Lola asked.
"I'm afraid I do," Michael said. "But I should warn you guys. That other raptor, the one called Crow. He is a ruthless bounty hunter who works for whoever will pay him the most. Now The Red King wants you alive, but Crow doesn't specifically work for The Red King or any nation. He'd be happy to just kill you and sell your body parts to the highest bidder. Keep an eye out for his ship, you can't miss it. It looks kind of like one of those, oh what are they called? A plain that the Earth's military uses. A stealth bomber. Big clunky, yet somehow sleek at the same time. Shaped like a boomerang, pitch black in color."
"We'll be careful." Lori assured him. "We'll really miss you Michael."
"I'm sure this won't be the last time we meet." Michael smiled. Then he walked over to Lincoln to whisper in his ear. "Something about this arrangement doesn't feel right. I know a place that will have the answers I seek. We will meet again."
Then the raptor left Shipzilla. He picked out another ship from the hanger and flew off.
"So why can't you guys just take us to this casino?" Luan called out the open door of Shipzilla.
"It's more strategic if we go separately." Zax replied before walking off.
"That's just as well." Lori said. "I'd rather not stay on the Gem any longer than we have too. For some reason this place literally gives me the creeps."
The siblings shut the door and Shipzilla floated back out into the dark void of space. Once Shipzilla was cleared of The Gem. The Gem jumped into hyperspace and vanished. Leaving Shipzilla alone in the darkness.
"Guess we better get a move on then." Lori said.
"Or we could just sit here for a bit." Lola suggested. "Look how beautiful it is out their!"
Outside the window the Louds could see an enormous mass of swirling colors and light that stretched on for miles. Purples blues and reds twisting together in wonderous and fantastical shapes to amazing to describe.
The siblings all gazed in wide-eyed wonder. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"What is that?!?!" Lana said with excitement in her voice.
"That would be a nebula." Lisa explained. "A massive cloud of superheated gas, dust, and debris. With millions of stars being formed inside of it. Most of which even dwarf our own sun."
"Well then this sight really gives me a sunny disposition." Luan joked. "Get it? What are you just going to keep staring with those starry-eyed looks? I guess the universe can really be a gas huh?"
Pal burst out laughing. "Bahahahaha! Luan you are so funny. I bet you're really popular back home."
"This is absolutely incredible!" Lisa said. "No one on Earth has ever been this close to an actual nebula before."
"Well technically it is still about a million miles away." Pal said.
"Really?" Lana said. "But it looks like it's just outside the window."
"Oh, that's just because it's so big!" Pal said.
"Whoa!" The siblings all gushed.
CRASH!
Suddenly a very small meteor crashed through the windshield creating a hole about the size of a dime.
"The hull's been breached!!!!!!!!" Lincoln yelled.
"We're literally going to get sucked out into space!!!!!" Lori yelled.
"WWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" All the Louds shrieked in terror. Except for Lisa.
"Wait, nothing's happening." Lori said.
"It is a little drafty in here." Leni pointed out.
"Hollywood has greatly blown the whole sucked out into space thing out of proportion." Lisa said, pushing her glasses up her nose. "The atmospheric pressure in any space faring vehicle would be far too low to push anyone through a hole into space. Especially one that small."
"Well that's a relief." Lincoln said.
"Hey, Pal." Lori asked, "Does this ship have any duct tape?"
