Chapter 14: Groundhog Day

"The Sun is shining in the sky! There ain't a cloud in site!

It's stopped raining, everybody's in the play.

Don't you know? It's a beautiful new day, hey hey."

The radio turned on as Lincoln's alarm went off.

Lincoln's eyes slowly opened. He looked around at his familiar room.

"I'm... I'm home?" Lincoln mumbled. He got up and got dressed.

Was that all just some crazy dream? He thought to himself. He looked at his alarm clock. The red light shined in his eyes, for a second much brighter than usual and he could hear a ringing in his ear, but then the clock returned to normal and the ringing stopped. He didn't think anything of it.

He opened the door and walked out into the hallway. It was strangely quiet. Too quiet.

He knocked on Lynn and Lucy's room.

"Lynn? Lucy? You guys in there?" Lincoln said.

No answer. He opened the door and was shocked and confused at what he saw. Not only were Lynn and Lucy not in the room, but neither were their beds, or any of their stuff. Instead the room was full of a bunch of old junk.

A feeling of confusion and panic washed over Lincoln. What the heck is going on here? He thought. He headed downstairs.

"Morning son!" His father greeted him with a smile. "Big day huh? Last day of school."

"Last day of school?" Lincoln said.

"Yeah, you're graduating the fifth grade! Isn't that exciting?" Lynn Sr. said.

Then his mother entered the room. "Oh, we are so proud of you." She said. "Our little boy is growing up."

"Hey, where did Lynn and Lucy go?" Lincoln asked.

"Who?" Lynn Sr. said.

"Lynn Jr. and Lucy." Lincoln said. "My sisters."

"What are you talking about son?" Lynn Sr. said.

"I got up this morning and the house was quiet. I haven't seen any of my sisters." Lincoln said. "Where did they go?"

"Uh Lincoln, you don't have any sisters." Rita said.

"WHAT?!?!" Lincoln said in shock.

"You're an only child sweetie." Rita smiled. "You know that."

"But, Lucy, Lynn, Lisa, Lori..." Lincoln stammered.

"We thought we were going to have a bunch of kids." Lynn Sr. said. "That's why we bought a house with so many rooms. But, now I guess we just have a bunch of storage space. But hey, it's not like we need any more kids than you Lincoln."

Rite knelt down and placed an arm around her son, looking him in the eye.

"Look Lincoln, I know you get lonely sometimes." Rita said with a warm smile. "But you always have your father and I if you ever need someone to talk to."

"But they were real." Lincoln said. "I have ten sisters, last I saw them we were in space with two rock people... and a talking velociraptor... Wow maybe it was a dream."

Did I really just dream an entire life with these girls that never existed? Lincoln thought to himself.

Then Lincoln noticed the trophy case in the living room.

He walked over to it. It was still full of trophies only, now they all had his name on them. Trophies for things that would usually go to his sisters. Athletics, poetry, academics.

No beauty pageant ones though, Of course. The one time he was in a beauty pageant was out of desperation. Without his sisters around, obviously he didn't feel the need to stoop that low.

"Are all these mine?" Lincoln said.

His dad placed an arm around him. "Yes, they are son. And we couldn't be prouder."

"Even this one for best junior quarterback?" Lincoln asked. "And this one for poetry?"

"Yep." Rita chimed in. "You're our perfect little man."

Lincoln smiled for a moment, feeling an overwhelming sense of joy.

"Wow, I did all this..." He said. Then the feeling of joy vanished.

This isn't right He thought, This, isn't me, this can't be my life. Can it?

For just brief second, the glass flashed red. He backed away, feeling a sudden sense of dread.

"Lincoln, what is it honey?" Rita said.

"Uh... nothing I..." Lincoln said. "I should get to school. Last day and all."

...

On the bus, Lincoln couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him. He even heard someone call his name. he looked but no one was talking to him. Everyone was just minding their own business while he sat alone.

Outside of school he ran into Clyde.

"Clyde!" Lincoln said with a huge smile. Then he grabbed Clyde and hugged him.

"Hey buddy," Clyde said, breaking away from Lincoln's hug. "What's up?"

"I just... I just feel like I haven't seen you in a long time." Lincoln replied.

"But I just saw you yesterday." Clyde said.

"Right," Lincoln said. "I just, I had this really weird dream last night..."

"Tell me about it," Clyde suggested.

"Long story, but to put it simply, I was abducted by aliens." Lincoln said.

"Aliens!" Clyde said. "Gee you better not tell Zach about that. You know how paranoid he gets."

"Yeah, Zax is a little quirky." Lincoln said.

"Zax?"

"Zach! I meant to say Zach." Lincoln said. "Hey this may sound strange but... Do you remember me having any sisters?"

"No," Clyde said. "You've been an only child as long as I can remember. Was that part of your dream too?"

"Uh yeah it was..." Lincoln said. "And you had a crush on one of them."

"I did?" Clyde said. "Well I'm sure that got awkward. Was she at least pretty?"

"She was beautiful," Lincoln replied. "All my sisters were. I had ten sisters in my dream. You had a crush on the oldest one, Lori. But she was already dating someone, Bobby."

"Like as in Bobby Santiago? Ronnie Anne's brother?" Clyde said.

"Yep." Lincoln said. At least Ronnie Anne still exists.

"Isn't he dating that girl Carol Pingrey?" Clyde said.

"Uh yeah I guess." Lincoln said.

"Well you would know more than I would. You are dating the guy's sister after all." Clyde said.

"I'M DATING RONNIE ANNE!?!?!" Lincoln said.

Just then Ronnie Anne walked up to the group.

"And speaking of the Devil." Clyde said.

"Hey Bobo bear." Ronnie Anne said, playfully. Then she gave Lincoln a kiss on the cheek.

"Uh hey... babe." Lincoln said, nervously. "I'm guessing you didn't really move to Great Lakes city."

"Why would I move to Great Lakes City?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Lincoln had a strange dream last night." Clyde said.

"Uh yeah." Lincoln said. Ok something is seriously wrong here.

"He dreamt he was abducted by aliens." Clyde said.

"REALLY?" Ronnie Anne said with wide eyes.

"Yep, aliens. Isn't that crazy?" Lincoln said.

"And that's not the craziest part." Clyde said. "He dreamt he had ten sisters."

"Wow, ten sisters. Must have been hectic." Ronnie Anne said.

"It was, but I kind of liked it." Lincoln said with a faint smile.

"Speak for yourself." Ronnie Anne said. "I only have one brother, and already that's too much for me to handle."

The world flashed red for a second.

"Gah." Lincoln held his head.

"You ok?" Both Lincoln and Ronnie Anne said.

"Yeah I'm fine." Lincoln said. He felt a slight tingling sensation for a second, but it vanished.

Maybe I should see a doctor. Lincoln thought.

"So, after school we gonna hit Gus's Games and Grub?" Ronnie Anne asked. "Just the two of us?"

"Of course." Lincoln said.

...

That day the school held a carnival to celebrate the last day of School.

"Win me that big one Linky." Ronnie Anne said, holding Lincoln's hand. They were standing by one of those games where you have to throw a ball to knock down a pyramid of bottles.

"I'll see what I can do." Lincoln said. He threw the ball and knocked down the bottles on his first try. He won a big stuffed teddy bear that he gave to Ronnie Anne.

"Let's go on the Farris wheel next." Ronnie Anne suggested.

"Uh yeah, sounds great." Lincoln said. Then Lincoln noticed a figure standing in the distance.

It was a man. He was tall, he had short jet-black hair, and dark brown eyes. His mustache was black however his short beard was grey he had a red and black flannel shirt, over a red t-shirt.

Something about the man felt familiar. Very familiar.

The man's eyes started to glow red. Lincoln could hear his voice whispering inside his head.

"Lincoln, this isn't real" The voice whispered.

"Lincoln are you ok?" Ronnie Anne said, noticing the distress on her boyfriend's face.

"That man," Lincoln said. "He... he's from my dream."

Ronnie Anne looked in the direction Lincoln was pointing.

Suddenly the man vanished in a flash of red light.

"I don't see any man." Ronnie Anne said. "Are you feeling ok?"

"Fine" Lincoln said. "Let's just get to that Farris wheel."

Lincoln and Ronnie Anne got onto the Farris wheel. Lincoln's jaw dropped when he saw the young woman operating the ride.

"Lori?" Lincoln said.

"Yes, that's my name." the young blond said. She had a bored emotionless expression on her face, like she would rather be anywhere but here. She likely assumed Lincoln had just read her nametag.

"D...do you know me?" Lincoln said.

"Kid, I have literally never seen you before in my life." Lori said, before strapping the two kids in. "Now be sure to keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. And remember, have fun."

The wheel started to turn. Lincoln and Ronnie Anne stopped at the top for a moment.

"Wow," Ronnie Anne said. "You can see the whole town from up here."

"You sure can." Lincoln said.

"I can even see tall timbers pond." Ronnie Anne said. "Hey Linc, remember our first date. That picnic at Tall Timbers pond."

"Uh yea, how could I forget?" Lincoln said, though that was a lie. He could not remember anything from their first date, or any date.

"You were so nervous," Ronnie Anne said. "But I thought that was kind of cute. It was so romantic though. Kind of like now."

Ronnie Anne turned to look at Lincoln and smiled. Something didn't feel right. Lincoln looked at Ronnie Anne for a moment. He looked deep into her eyes.

Her eyes were a beautiful chocolate brown, not unlike the color of root beer.

For a moment, just a moment, a mere second. Lincoln could swear Ronnie Anne's eyes flashed red. But He thought nothing of it. Must have been his eyes playing tricks on him. This whole day was weird.

Ronnie Anne inched closer to Lincoln. Lincoln leaned in. the two locked lips in a soft tender kiss.

Ronne Anne brushed her hand behind Lincoln's ear, and Lincoln wrapped his arms around Ronnie Anne's waist.

Then the Farris Wheel started to shake.

The two broke away from the kiss.

"Lincoln! What's Happening?" Ronnie Anne panicked.

"I don't know!" Lincoln said.

Then the Farris wheel started to tip over. The sounds of horrified screams filled the air.

Lincoln fell from his seat, but Ronnie Anne quickly grabbed his hand.

"I got you Linky!" Ronnie Anne said. "Just hold on!"

Lincoln slipped from Ronnie Anne's grasp.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" He yelled as he plummeted toward the earth.

"Lincoln! NNNNOOOOOO!!!!!!" He heard Ronnie Anne call out.

He smacked face first into the hard-concrete ground. Everything went dark...

...

"The Sun is shining in the sky! There ain't a cloud in site!

It's stopped raining, everybody's in the play.

Don't you know? It's a beautiful new day, hey hey."

"GAH!" Lincoln woke with a gasp. He was back in his room.

So that was all just a dream too? He thought to himself. He got up. He immediately went to what should have been Lynn and Lucy's room. Again, it was just a storage space.

"Moring son." His father greeted him as he headed downstairs. "Big day huh? Last day of school."

"It's the last day of school?" Lincoln said rubbing his head in confusion.

"Yeah, graduating the fifth grade, isn't that exciting?" Lynn Sr. said.

"We are so proud of you." His mother joined in. "Our little boy is growing up."

"And I don't have any sisters, right?" Lincoln said, getting a serious case of déjà vu.

"What? Of course not." Lynn Sr. laughed.

"Right," Lincoln said. "I... I just had a strange dream last night."

...

"Hey buddy" Clyde caught up to Lincoln as they walked into school.

"Oh, hey Clyde." Lincoln said. "So, uh last day of school huh?"

"Yep, after this the three of us will be middle school students." Clyde said.

"Three of us?" Lincoln said.

"Well yeah," Clyde said. "You, me, and..."
"Hey Linky." Ronnie Anne came up from behind him. She gave him a peck on the cheek and held his hand.

"Oh yeah, my girlfriend." Lincoln said.

...

Lincoln once again won a stuffed bear for Ronnie Anne on the same game he had won on before.

"Hey Linky," Ronnie Anne said. "Let's go on the Farris Wheel."

"NO!" Lincoln shouted.

"What? what's wrong?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"I... I just don't think that's a very good idea." Lincoln said.

"Why not?"

"I just, I have a feeling something REALLY bad is going to happen." Lincoln said. Lincoln looked out into the field where he had seen the mysterious man before. But no one was there.

Ronnie Anne grabbed her boyfriend and looked him in the eyes.

"Lincoln, nothing bad is going to happen today, I promise." Ronnie Anne said.

"Let's just stay away from the Farris wheel at least. Please." Lincoln said.

"Ok." Ronnie Anne said. Suddenly they heard screaming all around them.

"What's going on?" Ronnie Anne said, frantically looking around as people ran around screaming.

"Oh my gosh!" Lincoln said looking up.

The Farris wheel had begun to fall, and Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were in the middle of the crash zone.

Before Lincoln could react, two tons of steel came crashing down on him.

...

"The Sun is shining in the sky! There ain't a cloud in site!

It's stopped raining, everybody's in the play.

Don't you know? It's a beautiful new day, hey hey."

"OH, COME ON!" Lincoln said waking up for a third time. He stormed to Lucy and Lynn's room to once again find the room empty. This time he checked all the rooms upstairs. All of them where storage rooms.

He stormed downstairs, where he ran into his father.

"Morning son." Lynn Sr. asked. "Big day huh? Last day of school."

"Hey Dad!" Lincoln said. "I have a question for you."

"Sure thing." Lynn Sr. said. "You know you can ask me anything."

"Ok..." Lincoln said. "If I don't have any sisters... WHY DO I STILL SLEEP IN THE DANG LININ CLOSET!?!?!"

"What? oh well you see..." Lynn Sr. stammered.

"And if Lynn Jr. doesn't exists, why does this story still list you as Lynn Sr.?" Lincoln added.

"I uh... what story?" Lynn Sr. asked.

Then a massive meteor fell from the sky and landed on the Loud House, blowing the entire building to pieces and incinerating anyone inside.

...

"The Sun is shining in the sky! There ain't a cloud in site!

It's stopped raining, everybody's in the play.

Don't you know? It's a beautiful new day, hey hey."

Lincoln woke up again. Only this time he seemed to be in what looked like Lori and Leni's room. However now the walls were covered in Ace Savvy posters, and more of Lincoln's belongings.

This was now Lincoln's room.

"That's more like it." Lincoln said.

...

Lincoln, again met with Clyde and Ronnie Anne outside of school.

"Guys, I have to talk to you about something." Lincoln said.

"What do you want to talk about?" Clyde said.

"Not here," Lincoln said. "When they start the end of year carnival, you two sneak out and join me in the playground, bring the guys too. But whatever you do, do not go to that carnival!"

...

Lincoln and his friends met in the playground.

"What's this all about Lincoln?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"You got some big secret you wanna get off your chest?" Liam suggested.

"Are... are you breaking up with me?" Ronnie Anne asked, with concern in her voice.

"No, no, no, nothing like that." Lincoln said.

"Phew," Ronnie Anne breathed a sigh of relief.

"I know this is going to sound crazy but, I think I'm in Groundhog Day." Lincoln said.

"But Lincoln, Groundhog Day was in February." Clyde said.

"No Clyde, the movie, Groundhog Day. The one with that guy from Ghostbusters." Lincoln said.

"Bill Murry?" Stella said. "I love that guy."

"I'm re-living the same day, over and over again." Lincoln said. "It all started with this weird dream that I had 10 sisters, and we were abducted by alien dinosaurs and were traveling through outer space."

He then proceeded to tell them all about his dreams, and the Ferris wheel and everything.

"Again, I know this all sounds insane but..." Then Lincoln noticed his friends faces seemed to have changed. They all had dark stern looks on their faces. Not exactly angry, but very serious.

"Uh guys... are you ok?" Lincoln asked, he was starting to get worried and his voice showed it. He started to slowly back away from his friends.

"Hold him down." Ronnie Anne ordered. Suddenly the eyes of Ronnie Anne and the rest of Lincoln's friends turned pitch black.

Clyde and Rusty grabbed Lincoln by the arms.

"What are you doing?" Lincoln panicked. "LET ME GO!"

Then Ronnie Anne raised her right hand. To Lincoln's horror Ronnie Anne's hand began to change. Roots and leaves grew along her arm, and her hand morphed into a sharp wooden spear.

"Ronnie Anne, no please!" Lincoln begged. "NNNNOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Then Ronnie Anne thrusted her spear hand into Lincoln's chest.

...

"The Sun is shining in the sky! There ain't a cloud in site!

It's stopped raining, everybody's in the play.

Don't you know? It's a beautiful new day, hey hey."

Lincoln woke up again with a gasp.

No! NO! this can't be! Lincoln thought to himself. My own best friends are in on this, this whatever is going on!

He got up and quickly threw on his cloths.

"Come on Lincoln think." Lincoln said to himself. "Who can I trust? Whatever is happening, my closest friends are in on it.

But what is happening?"

...

"Win me that big one Linc." Ronnie Anne said, pointing to the prize at the carnival game that Lincoln had by now won more times than he cared to count.

"Sure, anything for my wonderful girlfriend." Lincoln said through clenched teeth. Sweat poured down his forehead. He was trying his best not to let Ronnie Anne, or the others know that he knew they were not who they said they were.

Lincoln rubbed his arm.

"You ok?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Yeah, just a little sunburn." Lincoln replied. Throughout this whole ordeal, Lincoln had this slight burning sensation all over his body. At first it was barely even noticeable, he figured it was nothing. But now the burning was getting more intense. It truly was starting to feel like a mild sunburn.

"Oh well, I'm sure that'll heal up in no time. Best not to think about it." Ronnie Anne said. Chills ran down Lincoln's body when he noticed the look on his supposed girlfriend's face. She had a devious grin on her face, and a hungry look in her eyes.

"Uh, are you ok?" Lincoln asked. He regretted saying anything though. He didn't want this thing wearing Ronnie Anne's face to find out he was on to her, or it.

Ronnie Anne's face returned to normal. "Oh yeah I'm fine. Why do you ask?"

"Um... I have to go to the bathroom." Lincoln said. Then he briskly walked away from her.

He walked away from the crowd and found a secluded place on the side of the school building. He pressed his back against the wall and slid to a sitting position.

"What am I going to do?" Lincoln asked himself. "How do I get out of this... this whatever is going on."

Then, almost as if to answer his question, a crack formed in the ground below him. Red light shined from the crack.

Then he remembered the flashing red lights, and the voices he heard. Was somebody reaching out to him? If so, who was it? Did they want to help him? Or hurt him?

He tried to remember back to that first dream he had, the one with his sisters. As hard as he tried, the memory was fading away.

"Well what do I have to lose?" Lincoln said aloud. "Ok, whoever you are, let's see what you gotta say."

He fallowed the crack around the side of the building. It led him to a side door of the school. Lincoln opened the door which led to a staircase. The crack continued up the stairs to the door at the top.

Lincoln walked up the stairs to the door. He opened the door to find himself on the roof of the school. This is where the path ended.

He looked around but found no one.

"Ok I'm here!" Lincoln announced. "come out, whoever you are?"

Silence.

"What do you want?!?!" Lincoln yelled as the cool summertime breeze blew through his snow white hair.

He turned back to the door, ready to give up. When suddenly he heard footsteps behind him.

His heart started to race. He wasn't sure he was ready to see what was standing behind him, just out of sight. He could just sense a force of great antient power.

But what was the alternative? Those creatures? Those monsters disguised as his friends.

Lincoln took a deep breath and turned around. Standing behind him was the mysterious figure from before.

The man with dark black hair, and a red flannel shirt. He had thick dark eyebrows and dark eyes. A short grey beard, and black mustache surrounded his smiling mouth. Not an evil smile, but a warm one.

"Hey little spitfuck." The man said, with a friendly tone despite the cursing.

"Well if it isn't the Red King." Lincoln said. Suddenly he remembered the monster from his dream, the one who chased him and his sisters though the galaxy. "How are you real? That was just a dream!"

"No Lincoln, that was all real." Red said. "THIS is the dream."

"Prove it!" Lincoln shouted, he got into a fighting stance and blue flames formed in his fists.

"I think you just did." Red said, motioning to Lincoln's hands.

"WHAT THE?!?!" Lincoln was shocked to see the blue flames engulfing his fists, blue flames that did not burn him.

"Come on Lincoln, think about it." Red said. "Why would your parents buy a 6-bedroom house if they only had one child? You have a trophy case full of trophies you supposedly won for things you're not even interested in. When was the last time you even wrote a poem? Or played on a football team."

"How do you know all that?" Lincoln asked.

"Because we're not here right now." Red said. "We're not really on the roof of your school. I'm currently in my meditation chamber connecting to your mind. And you, well you're in the ground of an alien planet being digested by a carnivorous tree."

"A carnivorous tree?" Lincoln raised an eyebrow.

"Is that so hard to believe?" Red said. "You have plenty of carnivorous plants on Earth right? Like that, oh what was it called. The Martian flytrap."

"You mean Venus Flytrap?" Lincoln said.

"That too." Red said.

"So... my sisters, they're all real?" Lincoln said, starting to smile.

"Of course, they are." Red said.

"YES! I KNEW IT!!!!!" Lincoln shouted. "I knew I couldn't have just dreamt up an entire life with those girls. But wait, you and I are enemies. Why are you helping me?"

"Why?" The Red King said. "THIS IS FUCKING WHY!!!!" he pulled up his sleeve to show Lincoln the burns forming in his forearm.

Lincoln gasped. Then he looked at his own arm. The "sunburn" was getting worse and was starting to blister.

"What is this?" Lincoln asked.

"Whatever happens to you, also happens to me." The Red King said. "Right now, this fucking tree has formed a sort of sack around your body, and that sack is being filled with acid that is slowly digesting you alive."

"EW!" Lincoln said in disgust. "So, how do I get out of this? Do I jump off the building to shock myself awake?"

"NO!" Red said. "Every time you die, the simulation starts over, and the digestion process gets faster."

"So, why would a carnivorous tree put me into a simulation like this?" Lincoln asked.

"These trees put their victims into a state where they live out their wildest fantasy's. If they think they are living the perfect life, they don't struggle." Red explained.

"But this isn't my perfect life." Lincoln said. "Why did it not put my sisters into the simulation? My life is far from perfect without them."

"It takes energy for the tree to project these memories, these visions." Red said. "You have 10 sisters. That would take more energy for the tree to replicate that many people, than what it would gain from digesting you. So, it had to make some modifications to your life within the dream. But it still managed to make you the center of the universe with those trophies. Not to mention it has you dating the girl of your dreams."

"Ronnie Anne?" Lincoln said. "The girl of my dreams? No way... I mean..."

The Red King raised an eyebrow.

"Well I... I don't know I..." Lincoln said.

Then the door opened.

"Lincoln, what on Earth are you doing up here?" It was Lincoln's teacher Mrs. Johnson. "We've been looking all over for you. Everyone was really worried. Who's your friend?"

Then the Red King's eyes started to glow red, and red fire formed in his hands.

Mrs. Johnson pointed at The Red King and started to screech like some sort of demon.

"RRRREEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!"

Lincoln looked over the side of the roof to see tons of people running towards the building. The people started piling on top of each other as they started to climb the building.

"Looks like we got company." Lincoln said.

The Red King summoned a shotgun to appear in his hand, which he then used to shoot the creature wearing Mrs. Johnson's face. The creature exploded and shattered into a pile of wood.

"Fucking tree monsters." The Red King said.

More of the humanoid creatures climbed over the edge of the roof. The Red King swung his fist and a giant red fist formed in front of the Red King's body and shot out at the creatures, knocking them off the roof.

"Well that was different" Lincoln said.

"That's how our powers work kid," Red said. "you just have to think it, and it'll happen."

"Well in that case." Lincoln said. Then a blue chainsaw appeared in his hands. "What better way to fight a bunch of tree monsters, than with a chainsaw?"

Lincoln used his chainsaw to cut through a group of the creatures. As the monsters were cut in half, the insides were revealed to resemble tree trunks.

"Time for some deforestation." Lincoln said.

Then Lincoln was tackled from behind. It was the creature disguised as Ronnie Anne. She pinned him to the ground.

"Come on bobo bear." Ronnie Anne said. "Let's make out!" Then her mouth opened wide, her jaw unhinged like a snake. Her lips pealed back to reveal rows of pointy, sharp wooden teeth. A long wet slimy tongue slithered out of Ronnie Anne's mouth and smeared itself all over Lincoln's face.

The creatures resembling Clyde and the rest of Lincoln's friends piled on the Red King.

The creature resembling Ronnie Anne gasped as a sword of blue energy was thrust through its body. Lincoln pushed the corpse of his "girlfriend" off himself.

As she rolled onto the ground Ronnie Anne quickly transformed into a wooden statue.

The Red King managed to fight of Lincoln's "friends" who also turned into piles of wood upon being eviscerated.

Suddenly the sky grew dark.

"Oh shit." Red said.

"What?" Lincoln replied.

"They're pulling my memories into the dream now." Red said.

Lincoln looked up to see an enormous ship in the sky. The ship was big enough to stretch across the entire horizon. A defining boom could be heard as the ship fired upon the earth.

A gigantic ball of red energy hurdled toward the school. The blast hit the building creating a huge mushroom cloud explosion that engulfed the entire town.

...

"Rock and roll is running through my veins.

Electric soul like wires to my brain.

I can't be wrong don't need direction,

I can find my way.

PLAY IT LOUD!

PLAY IT PROUD!"

Lincoln was relieved when he for once didn't wake up to Mr. Blue Sky.

Wait a minute He thought That's Luna.

He was thrilled to at least hear the voice of one of his sisters, even if it was just a recording. Just one little thread of his real life.

"And that was Play it Loud, by Luna Loud." A familiar voice on the radio said. "I'm your DJ Red Kingsington here to remind you that. YOU'RE IN A FCUKING DREAM LINCOLN! YOU'RE BEING EATEN BY A FUCKIG TREE AND IF YOU DON'T GET OUT WE ARE BOTH GOING TO DIE!!!!!"

Lincoln opened his door.

"WHOA!" Lincoln said upon realizing that the entire world had vanished. Instead his room was floating a glowing red abyss.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Lincoln yelled as he fell into the red nothingness.

"OOFFF!" Lincoln landed in the middle of what looked to be a park. The Red King was standing before him.

"Come on kid, get up. We don't have much time" Red said. "I was able to interrupt the dream, so you ended up here instead of back at your school."

Lincoln looked up to see an armada of ships high up in the sky. He also saw that a huge Saturn-like planet was visible in the sky as well.

"What is going on?" Lincoln asked.

"The tree is implementing some of my own memories into this dream. This is a mixture of yours and my memories both." Red said. "My guess is that it is somehow trying to trap my mind in here as well. Good news is... I think I found a way out of here."

...

The alien raptor Michael awoke on the bank of a rushing river.

"Muh." He groaned as he slowly got up. "GAH!" he yelled at the site of a massive pair of jaws in front of him, filled with razor sharp teeth. He breathed a sigh of relief upon realizing it was just the carcass of the creature he had killed with his own venom.

He tried to flap his wings. But they just sparked and refused to move. He reached behind his back and detached the robotic wings to take a look at them.

"Well these are busted." Michael said, throwing the wings to the ground.

"Michael is that you?" a voice came from nearby.

Michael saw Gaya getting to her feet. She was easy to miss with her green dress and green hair.

"Wh-where's Zax?" Gaya asked.

Michael saw a flash of green under the rushing waters of the river. The raptor dove into the water. Moments later Michael dragged Zax onto the shore.

Zax coughed up water as he regained consciousness.

"You... you saved me?" Zax said. "But why? I thought you didn't like me?"

"I don't like you," Michael said. "But like it or not, we are in this together. We are a pack now, and a pack looks out for each other."

"You didn't kiss me, did you?" Zax asked.

"Fortunately, that wasn't necessary." Michael said.

"And if we're a so-called pack, I guess you're the alpha." Zax said, with a hint of sarcasm.

"Well if you really think I'm best for the job." Michael shot back in a snarky tune.

"Well he did just save your life." Gaya said.

"Well I think Gaya should be the leader." Zax said.

"I refuse." Gaya said.

"Why?" Zax said.

"I am not leadership material." Gaya admitted. "Besides, the forest, she whispers to me. She favors the raptor."

"Say what now?" Zax said.

"Well the forest is wise indeed." Michael smirked.

"The raptor who thinks he's some sort of alpha male?" Zax said. "you really think he'd make a good leader?"

"When have I claimed that?" Michael said.

"Back at camp you said..." Zax replied.

"I said Lincoln has what it takes to be a good alpha." Michael said.

"Because he has superpowers, right?" Zax said. "Because he's stronger and tougher than his sisters? Is that it?"

"Because he's brave, and cares about his family." Michael said. "Being an alpha isn't about being stronger than everyone. It's about leadership. Having compassion and respect for the members of your pack. It's about not being afraid to lay down your life to protect the ones you care about."

"He's got my vote." Gaya said.

"Respect? Compassion?" Zax said. "Gee I though someone like you would consider kind and compassionate people to be betas. Aren't alpha's supposed to be aggressive and controlling?"

"We raptors value traits like courage, strength, independence, assertiveness, and resilience." Michael explained. "But we do not look down on or in any way devalue kindness, or love. An alpha should show kindness and respect. Respect is something we hold even above the traits I mentioned earlier."

"Well then what's the plan oh great alpha?" Zax said sarcastically.

"Well," Michael began. "While my people have declared that this planet is far too dangerous for a colony, we have however set up a number of scientific research stations all across this planet. If we find one of them, maybe we can get me a set of new wings and get some parts to repair Shipzilla."

"Um actually they didn't." Zax said. "See the Red King said he was doing that to gain public support. But in reality, he doesn't actually care about science at all. He only wants money, and power. And it gets even weirder than that.

See the planets The Red King and the raptors claim are being used for research, are actually being used to drill for oil and other natural resources. All while massacring the native people of each of those planets, just for good measure."

"Were did you hear that?" Michael asked. "Some conspiracy site?"

Zax was a bit taken back by Michael's question. "Well psh, you know. It's kind of a well-known thing. The Red King is an evil greedy guy, and so are the raptors who fallow him. Not you of course. You... you're actually pretty cool."

Michael raised an eyebrow. "We do not use oil, or any other fossil fuels." Michael explained. "our energy is all harvested from black holes and solar radiation. Furthermore, why would we mine inhabited planets when there are literally billions of uninhabited planets with plenty of resources? There's more uninhabited planets in this galaxy and inhabited ones. We have no reason to mine from inhabited worlds.

And what was that crap about massacring native people? Why the heck would we do that? We barely even visit planets with civilizations in the tribal stage."

"Well you know... hehe." Zax said.

"Yes I do know." Michael said. "Clearly I know a lot more than you. See I was actually in the Red King's raptor army. And I was actually one of the guys who helped establish the research stations, ON THIS VERY PLANET!!!!"

"So... we're heading to the research station then?" Gaya interrupted.

...

Lori had fallen to her knees.

"Lincoln! NNNOOOOOO!!!!!" She cried.

"Dude! The freaking trees can eat us now!?!?!" Luna shouted.

"Well there are plenty of carnivorous plants back on earth." Lisa said. "So a carnivorous tree is really not that far out of the question."

"He's gone," Lori cried. "I can't believe he's gone!"

Leni knelt down and placed her arm around Lori. "I miss him too." Leni said, staring to cry a bit herself. "But he's in a better place now."

"Well it's more likely he's still alive in there as the tree is digesting him." Lisa explained. "Many carnivorous plants digest their prey while it is still alive. That process could take a couple ours, or a couple days."

"Then we gotta get him out!" Lynn said. She dropped to her knees and started to dig into the dirt. "If we dig deep enough, we can reach Lincoln, and rescue him."

Luna placed her arm on Lynn's shoulder. "He gone Lynn." She said in a solemn tone that was rather uncommon for the rocker.

"No, he's not!" Lynn said. "You heard Lisa, he could still be alive!"

"That tree will just get you too Lynn." Luna said. "I don't wanna lose two siblings today."

Lynn jerked away from her older sister. "So what? we should just let him suffer and die? This is our own brother! He's probably in a lot of pain right now. What if it was you down there, wouldn't you want us to come save you?"

"Not if it put you in danger." Luna said.

"But... we can't just..." Lynn sniffled. Tears ran down her face, and her nose was running.

Luna embraced Lynn in a warm hug.

"We're all going to die!" Lola cried.

"Hey now, don't say that." Luan said. "We'll make it, there's hope."

"No, we won't." Lola cried. "The only three people who know anything about this space stuff fell off a cliff. And now our own brother got eaten by a tree."

"I... I don't want to die." Lucy said, suddenly grabbing onto Luan. "I really don't want to die... I know I talk about death a lot, but I don't wanna die. I'm s... I'm scared."

Lynn broke away from Luna. "Well I think we all know who's going to die next." Lynn wiped her tears away and looked at Leni.

"Me?" Leni said. "Why me?"

"Let's face it Leni, you're too soft to live on a planet like this." Lynn said. "It's not like you can just make all the wild animals and man-eating trees become your best friends. You won't last another day out here. You don't even want to hurt that Red King guy. The guy who abducted us and got us trapped in this heck hole in the first place!"

"Just because I'm not a bully like you, doesn't mean..." Leni said.

"What did you call me." Lynn said.

"A bully," Leni repeated. "You're a bully Lynn."

"Uh, how am I a bully?"

"You're always pushing us around and hitting us." Leni said. "You have the nurturing instincts of a caveman. Wait no, that would be insulting to cavemen. You're more like some vicious little demon. You know the entire neighborhood is afraid of you?

Because you're insane. You're mean, you're selfish, and you're a bully."

"I... I can't believe I'm hearing this," Lynn said. "And from you of all people."

"Well... I've always felt this way." Leni said. "I just never had the heart to tell you, because I didn't want to hurt your feelings."

"Does everybody think that?" Lynn said.

"Eh kind of bra." Luna said.

"You are a bit rough." Luan said.

"Leni's right." Lola said, in a very matter of fact way. "You're a bully."

Lynn turned her attention back to Leni.

"Well you know what you are..." Lynn said.

"Lynn, don't" Lori said, knowing what Lynn was about to say.

"What am I then?" Leni said.

"You are RETARDED!" Lynn said.

"What?" Leni said.

"You heard what I said," Lynn said. "You are a retard! Or are you too stupid to even know what that means?"

"Oh, trust me, I know very well what that word means." Leni said, with a rage in her voice her siblings have never heard from her before. "But I never thought my own sister would say that."

"Well guess what." Lynn said. "ALL your sisters think your retarded! And Lincoln thinks so too. You are about the dumbest thing on the face of the Earth! There are single celled organisms smarter than you!"

"We're not even on earth anymore." Leni growled.

"Doesn't matter." Lynn said. "Because you're the dumbest thing on any planet!"

The anger in Leni's eye faded away to sadness. "G-guys?" She looked around. She could feel tears forming in her eyes.

"Well..." Lori said. "I mean... Lynn said it in an extremely harsh way, and it was very wrong of her to do so. But in all honesty Leni, you really are not the brightest bulb in the box."

Leni's jaw started to shake. She closed her eyes and tears started forming. "I'm s... I'm sorry"

The expression on Lynn's face changed as she realized what she had done. "Leni, no I didn't..."

"GAH!!!" Just then a giant bird swooped down and snatched Leni from the ground, carrying her up into the sky.

"LENI!!!!!" Lori shrieked.

Lynn took off running in the direction the bird took Leni.

"I'M SORRY LENI!!!!" Lynn yelled. "I DIDN'T MEAN ANY OF THAT!!!!" Lynn fell to her knees. "Please come back."

The twins tightly held onto Luna (who was the closets to them at the time) fearfully looking up at the sky.

"Has anyone seen Lily?" Luna asked.

"There!" Lynn pointed to Lily who was wondering into a dark cave. "Lily no, don't go in there!" Lynn ran after her baby sister. As Lynn entered the cave, she picked her baby sister up in her arms. Then the cave collapsed sealing off the entrance, trapping Lynn and Lisa inside.

"Dang it." Lynn mumbled.

...

He may have lost his wings, but Michael still had his claws. He used his claws to climb the highest tree he could find.

"Hey Michael." Gaya had commanded the tree itself to lift her up with its branches so that she may talk to the raptor. "Can I speak with you, privately."

"yeah sure." Michael replied.

"This war, between my people and yours..." Gaya started.

"The war's is up there," Michael said, pointing to the sky. "So long as we are trapped down here, what's out in space doesn't matter."

"Will you still think that after we get off this planet." Gaya said.

"I'm not going to lie," Michael said. "You and your brother are public enemy number one in my nation. It will be hard to just call the two of you friends. But I know your people and mine used to be the closest of allies.

I was very young before this war. But I do remember it as a time of hope. When the people of Bsepatica, and Oxite were united.

I do hope that one day, it can be that way again."

"This war, it has made both sides desperate, especially ours." Gaya said. "We have done things and are still doing things that I am not proud of. Things I cannot bring myself to mention at this time, but I do not expect to be forgiven for."

Michael raised an eyebrow. "That's, oddly mysterious."

"You know what my brother and those Loud creatures were talking about. About those Inking creatures." Gaya said. "How much do you know about Inklings? Have you ever seen one?"

"I've heard of them." Michael said. "I know their meet is supposed to be very valuable. But I have never heard of anyone who has actually seen one, and neither have I."

"Do you really think there could be some massive conspiracy about them?" Gaya asked. "I mean, the Oxan are not the only race that eats that stuff. Even your people eat it."

"Well you know I am far from a vegetarian." Michael said. "Heck I was thinking we should cut up that big dinosaur thing we just killed and eat him tonight. But the Inklings? Something about that shit doesn't seem right."

"Is it safe to eat a creature that you killed with your venom?" Gaya asked. "I mean wouldn't the venom still be in the meat?"

"Oh, it'll be fine." Michael said. "Venom needs to be injected into your blood directly to kill you. Besides my venom would have worn off in that thing by now.

And hey, you'll find I'm a real good cook."

Then Michael spotted something. "There." He pointed to a flag in the distance. The flag had an image of a raptor claw, the symbol of the raptor nation.

"Wow, you can see pretty, far can't you?" Gaya said.

"We raptors are famous for having really good eyesight." Michael explained. "Also, this cybernetic eye I have enhances that."

"How did you get that anyway?" Gaya asked. "I mean what happened to you to make you so broken."

"Many years ago, I was piloting a fighter and it crashed." Michael said. "My arm, wings and eye had to be amputated. And of course, raptors being the smartest beings in the galaxy and all. I couldn't just settle with simple plastic prosthetics. So, it was full on cyborg baby."

"Surprised you didn't have rockets installed." Gaya replied.

"Well. The costs extra." Michael joked.

...

For a few moments the cave was completely dark, but then blue lights illuminated the cave.

"Wow," Lynn looked closer at the walls, they were covered with glowing blue worms. "Man, Lana would have loved this."

Then Lily started to cry.

"Oh no! Don't cry Lily i-it'll be ok." Lynn said picking lily up in her arms. Lynn sat down with her back leaned against the wall, holding Lily in her hands trying to calm down the baby girl.

She quickly thought of something that might cheer her up.

She started to sing in as soft a voice as she could. "Cheer up baby don't you cry, no more tears it's cheer up time." Lynn's voice became strained as she too started to cry. "Laugh with me and we will be. Happy, happy..."

Lily started to calm down, but Lynn was starting tear up now.

"I deserve to be in here." Lynn sobbed. "But you don't."

...

Lori lay crying on the ground in a fetal position.

"I... I remember when he had his first taste of ice cream," Lori sniffled. "Mint chocolate chip."

"Lori, are you going to be ok?" Lola asked.

"Lori, come on bra, we gotta get Lynn and Lily out of that cave." Luna said.

"He always had a plan..." Lori said softly. "Even if it didn't work."

"Lincoln's gone, Lori." Luna said. "but we can still save Lynn and Lily."

"What about Leni?" Luan asked, shoving a big stick into the pile of rocks that blocked the cave Lynn and Lily had found themselves stuck in.

Luna looked to the sky. "I have no idea where that thing took her," Luna said. "Man, if Michael was here, I'm sure he could track that thing but..."

"So could Lincoln," Lori sniffed, "He always watched that dumb nature show of his. He could track anything."

"I remember he found Charles that time he ran away." Lana added. "Lincoln, Lincoln was a good guy."

Luna looked around at her siblings. Lincoln was eaten by a tree, Leni was swept up by some kind of giant bird, and Lori was having some sort of mental breakdown. Luna could tell she needed to be the one to step up.

"Gah, this sucks." Luna mumbled. Then she went to help Luan try to free Lynn and Lily.

Luan, Luna and Lana tried to get the rocks out of the way, but they were too heavy.

"You ok in there Lynn?" Luna yelled.

"I'm alive!" Lynn called back. "Lily's asleep, but she's fine too." Lynn crawled over to the wall of rocks. She grabbed one of them and tried to move it. "I think if we get this rock out of the way, we can make a whole big enough to get Lily through. I'll push you pull."

"Great idea." Luna said, grabbing the other end of the rock. The siblings managed to get the rock out of the way.

"We'll see if we can hold up the rest f the rocks. You try to squeeze Lily through." Luna suggested.

Lynn carefully slid her baby sister through the hole in the wall so her other sisters could get a hold of her.

"Ok now we just gotta get you through." Luan said. "You think you can fit?"

"No," Lynn said.

"Then we need to move more of these rocks." Luna said. "Now that we got the one out, the rest should be easier."

"Guys just forget about me." Lynn said.

"No way dude!" Luna protested.

"Leni was right about me." Lynn said. "I... I'm just a bully. This is what I deserve. Just leave me here, I'll be fine."

"Lynn you'll die in there!" Luna said.

"Yeah I probably will," Lynn said, her voice was starting to crack, she could feel a lump in her throat. "But it's for the best. Go find Leni, she deserves to live more than I do."

"I...I don't even know where to begin to look for her though." Luna said.

"Just go in the direction that thing took her." Lynn said. "Look the more time you spend trying to help me, the more likely it is that Leni gets eaten alive."

"Don't make me do that," Luna said. "Don't make me choose between the life of one of my sisters over the other!"

...

Back in the dream...

The Red King ran toward the woods, "Come with me if you wanna live!" He called back to Lincoln. Lincoln fallowed.

"What's the plan Red?" Lincoln asked.

"Well in case you haven't noticed, the dream is falling apart." Red explained. "processing my memories with your memories is taking too much energy. I'm thinking we head toward the docking station in the woods."

"The what?" Lincoln said.

"The staircase!" Red replied. "Where I first contacted you."

"The place we became quantumly entangled." Lincoln said. "I see where this is going."

"What?" The Red King stopped running. "That's not how we're connected."

"It's not?" Lincoln said. "Then how? How did we become connected? Why do I have your powers? Why does everything that happens to you, happen to me?"

"Kid that is a long story that we do not have time for." Red said.

"Well, can the staircase at least sever our connection?" Lincoln said.

"I hope so." The Red King said. "No offense Linc, but I can't stand being connected to you. This whole whatever happens to one of us, happens to both of us, thing is really an inconvenience. That's half the reason I've been chasing you and your siblings all over the fucking galaxy. If anything happens to you, I'm dead! Literally. Of course the staircase in this dream is a fake, like everything else. We'd need to go to the one on Earth."

Lincoln looked up at the ships swarming in the sky. "But if I let you make it to Earth, you're just gonna bring an armada of ships and enslave humanity."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" The Red King said, "look kid we don't have time for this, you wanna get out of here or not?"

"But if I'm stuck here, then so are you." Lincoln said.

"Kid, I know what you're thinking," Red growled. "And let me tell you, that is a big fucking mistake."

Just then Freddy Krueger stepped out from behind a tree.

"Looks like it's time for you to graduate from life bitch!" Freddy said.

"Oh no, it's Freddy Krueger." Lincoln said. "He's a dream demon from the movie..."

"Nightmare on Elm Street." Red finished. "Trust me Lincoln, we aliens have been getting radio signals from your planet for centuries. I've seen my fair share of Earth movies. You know you guys make a lot of cat videos."

The Red King walked up to Freddy.

"well, well, well, if it isn't the Red King," Freddy said. "Or should I call you..."

"Is that a fuckin sweater?" Red said to Freddy.

"Uh... what?" Freddy said.

"Seriously, are you a dream demon, or a little fucking girl?" Red asked.

"Come on man," Freddy said. "This sweater is iconic."

"Iconic, maybe, but scary?" Red said. "I mean you are trying to be scary right?"

"Yeah," Freddy said. "That's kind of my whole thing."

"Well then perhaps you should ditch the sweater," Red said. "Sweaters are soft and warm. They give off more of a hug me vibe. Then again with a face that ugly, I don't think anyone's going to want to touch you. Not because you're scary, more because you're ugly."

"Well come on, it's got dark contrasting colors, that's totally scary," Freddy said. "It's a color pattern that messes with your eyes man!"

"It's red and green." Red replied. "Those are fucking Christmas colors. You're wearing a fucking Christmas sweater dude. If it weren't for the fact that you're so goddamn ugly, I'd think you're trying to look cute."

"Yeah, because a red flannel is just so much scarier." Freddy said sarcastically.

"See the difference is I ain't tying to look scary." Red said. "I'm just trying to rule a kingdom. But as a dream demon, your job requires that you look as terrifying as possible. Yet you're parading around dressed like Mabel fucking Pines went to a country music festival, then got lit on fire. Either that or an old lady.

Who also went to a country music festival and got lit on fire. Now if you wanna look scary, try something like, a leather jacket, or a wife beater. Hell, just thinking of you shirtless is the stuff of true nightmares. Keep the hat though, that does have potential."

"Enough of the fashion advice bitch!" Freddy yelled. Then he swung his claws at The Red King.

The Red King caught Freddy's arm, then punched him in the chest. Freddy exploded leaving behind only his legs and the arm The Red King was holding onto, both of which had turned into wood.

"Well, looks like Freddy's dead." Red Said.

Then the Harvester jumped out of the woods and swung his scythe at Lincoln.

"Time to settle the score you little brat!" The Harvester yelled.

"Whoa, easy there deliverance!" The Red King said.

"I'm not afraid of you anymore!" Lincoln yelled. Then he shot a blast of blue energy at the Harvester sending him flying.

"Oh Red." A voice came from behind them.

Red and Lincoln turned around to see the silhouettes of a man and a woman.

"I... I'm sorry." Red said, backing away. "I didn't mean to leave you! It was that thing! I've been trying to get back I swear. For a trillion years I've been trying to get back!"

"Uh Red." Lincoln asked. "Who are those people? Wait a minute. They look like.... No, it couldn't be!"

Then the man and woman vanished. In their place was what looked like a rip in the air itself, leading to a dark empty void.

"It's hear," Red said.

"It's not real!" Lincoln said, "This is all a dream remember?"

Then massive black tentacles slithered out of the rift. Fallowed by a pair of glowing red eyes and a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.

"Ew, what is that?" Lincoln asked.

"YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME!!!!" The Red King shouted at the monster coming from the abyss.

"We don't have time for this." Lincoln grabbed The Red King's hand and the two of them ran off deeper into the forest.

They reached the staircase in the woods.

"Huh," Lincoln said. "I thought I'd be creeped out by seeing this again. but this staircase just looks so..."

"Fake?" The Red King interrupted "That's because it is. This is all an illusion remember."

"Hey what was that back there?" Lincoln asked. "with that big monster thing. And those people. If I didn't know any better, I would swear they looked just like..."

"That was a creature known as the shadow." The Red King said. "It is a being of pure darkness."

"Oh yeah, Zax told us about that." Lincoln said.

"Zax?" The Red King replied.

"Yeah he's on the planet with us." Lincoln said.

"Oh, is he now?" The Red King raised an eyebrow.

"Uh yeah," Lincoln said, not sure if he was making a mistake telling the Red King about Zax. "But he fell of a cliff. I have no idea where he is now, or if he's even alive."

"I hope he's alive." Red said. "We may be going through a rough patch, but he's still my friend."

"Rough patch?" Lincoln said. "I think this is a little more than a rough patch. You and him, started a war that's tearing apart the cosmos."

"Well right now we gotta worry about getting out of here." Red said.

"So, what's the plan?" Lincoln asked.

"The way I see it," Red said. "The staircase is the strongest link between your memory and mine. If we destroy it, that should cause a chain reaction that'll tear down this simulation and kill the tree. Then you should be able to escape."

The two of them climbed to the top of the staircase.

"I am certainly getting a strong sense of déjà vu." Lincoln said.

"Well that makes sense." The Red King replied.

Then a group of branches grabbed the Red King and lifted him into the air.

"Gah!" The Red King yelled as he struggled to get free. "Destroy the staircase Lincoln. Blast it with energy and blow the fucker sky high!"

"Lincoln" Came another voice.

Lincoln saw Ronnie Anne climbing the staircase.

"Lincoln what are you doing out here?" Ronnie Anne asked, as she climbed the stairs. "We've been looking everywhere for you. You didn't show up for school today, and we're all worried.

We gathered a search party for you. Me, the guys, the teachers, your parents, your sisters. We're all very worried about you."

"My sisters?" Lincoln said.

"Don't listen to that thing Lincoln." Red said, still tied up in thick branches. "This is a trick, you know what she really is, you've seen it!"

"Come on Lincoln." Ronnie Anne said, extending her arm to Lincoln. "Are you really going to trust some stranger over your own girlfriend?"

"A stranger who is literally being strangled by living tree branches?" Lincoln added.

"Don't you trust me Lincoln?" Ronnie Anne said in a pleading voice. "Don't you love me?"

"To be honest, I really don't know how I feel about Ronnie Anne." Lincoln shrugged. Then a serious and stern look came over his face. "But you are NOT Ronnie Anne!"

Lincoln's hand became engulfed in blue flames. He plunged his fist into the platform beneath him. Powerful shockwaves erupted around Lincoln.

"NNnnnnooooo!!!!!" Ronnie Anne yelled as the shockwaves hit her. Then she let out an inhuman screech as she was vaporized by the blast.

...

"As hard as it is," Luan said as she and Luna stood by the pile of rocks trapping Lynn in the cave. "We might have to make a really tough choice here. I don't think we can save both Leni and Lynn."

"please don't say that." Luna begged.

KA-BLAM!!!!

The siblings jumped at the sound of the explosion.

They looked at the tree that had sucked Lincoln into the ground. A beam of blue energy had shot up from the ground and engulfed the treed.

When the beam stopped the tree was gone, a big gapping whole stood in its place. Dust and ash filed the air.

Out of the hole, out of the dust ash and debris, Lincoln climbed out, like a phoenix from the ashes.

"Guys." A huge smile filled Lincoln's face at the site of his sisters.

"Lincoln!" all the sisters said at once as Lincoln and them all rushed over to each other.

The sisters embraced their brother in a group hug.

"Inky!" Lily said with glee.

"We thought you were dead!" Lola said.

"I'm just so glad to have you back!" Lori added.

"You have no idea how happy I am to see you guys." Lincoln cried. "It was so horrible in there I... hey wait a minute. What happened to Leni and Lynn?"

The sisters broke away from Lincoln. They all had concerned faces.

"Guys, what happened?" Lincoln asked.

"Lincoln, I have some bad news." Lori said. Then she told Lincoln what had happened to the two remaining sisters.

Lincoln looked to the cave Lynn was trapped in. He held out his hand and the rocks began to glow blue. Then all at once the rocks floated into the air, revealing Lynn sitting beside them.

"Lincoln?" Lynn stood up. The rocks gently landed on the ground, creating a path from Lynn to her brother.

Within seconds Lynn had rushed over to Lincoln and had wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug.

The two stood there for a few seconds. Tears flowed down Lynn's face.

...

"Gah!" The Red King woke up in his meditation chamber.

"RED!" Blue rushed into the room to check on her king. "Are you okay!?!? What happened? Did you save the boy?"

"Lincoln made it." Red said, he got back to his feet. "And even better than that, I now know where Zax is. We can end this whole war right now. Gather up an invasion force, we're going to the jungle planet."
