"And this is where Eric keeps his Basses" Barry said as he lead me into another room. It felt nice following him around and getting to know the place. Barry then lead me down a hall leading back to the lounge. I saw Eric holding Moose in his arms and Brent giving Blu a belly rub. It seems they settled in nice. Suddenly, Barry grabbed my hand and lead me back to the recording room. He lead me straight to his drum kit and handed me his sticks.
"Come on, play me something" He said with a smile.
"I don't know" I said, looking down at the sticks in my hand.
"Brent told me how good you are, I want to hear something" He begged.
"What do you want to hear?" I asked, looking up at him.
"Whatever you want to play" He said. I sighed and took a seat behind the kit.

I took a moment to think of what to play. "Sound of Madness" was my favorite, but I wasn't sure if Barry wanted to hear his own song. I ended up playing "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. I got so focused on playing, I forgot Barry was even there.

I finished playing the song and looked up at Barry. He had a big grin on his face as he stepped towards me.
"You sound great" he said. I blushed as I put the sticks down.
"Thank you. I mostly play for myself, I'm not use to being watched" I admitted. Barry chuckled and lead me over to the others. I saw him whisper something to Brent, but I didn't think much of it.

Brent told me it was time to go so I went to grab Moose and Blu. Everyone said goodbye to us as we headed out. Blu was excited to get outside as he dragged me around the lawn, sniffing around. Brent laughed and took Moose to the car. I followed as soon as Blu finished his business.
"How'd you like it?" Brent asked.
"So far it's wonderful. Thanks for giving me this opportunity" I said as I took Moose to hold in my lap.
"It's no problem. I just thought this job would be perfect for you" he said. We headed back to the hotel and talked the whole ride. I had to stop myself from asking too much about Barry, afraid of what Brent would think.

We got to the hotel and out of the car. I let the dogs roam the lawn for a few minutes while Brent went to his room. Blu just wanted to roll in the grass while Moose sniffed around.
"Come on boys. Let's get your dinner ready" I said, gently tugging on the leashes. Moose walked over to my side so I scooped him up and held him in my arms. "Coming Blu?" Blu jumped up to his feet, shaking himself off before trotting along side me.

We walked into the hotel and went straight to my room. As I passed Brent's room I wondered if I should check in with him, but it was getting late so I figured I'd see him tomorrow. The pups followed me into the room and I got their dinner ready. As the two chowed down, I decided to give Brent a call. He picked up after a few rings.
"Hey, everything okay?" He asked.
"Yeah. Sorry to bother you. I just want to say thanks again. Today was great"
"No bother at all. It was great having you. I think you and Barry are going to work well together"
"Thanks Brent. I'm really glad we ran into each other"
"Me too Riley"

Brent and I talked a little longer before I let him go.  I looked over at the pups, who were both sleeping, Moose was laying on top of Blu. I picked up their food bowls and put them back into the bags.
"We've has a long day guys, haven't we?" I whispered to them. I took a black tank top and black shorts out of my bag and changed into them, putting my old clothes away. I gave both dogs a small stroke on the head, trying not to wake them, before crawling into bed to get some sleep.

Like usual, I was waken by by Blu. Who needs alarm clocks when you have a needy dog? I got out of bed and gave the pups their food before picking an outfit for the day. The weather seemed nice so I put on a black tank top and denim shorts.

Just as I was ready to visit Brent my phone rang.  I picked it up, unsure of who was calling.
"Hello?"
"Hey Riley. It's Barry. Hope you don't mind Brent gave me your number"
"Hey Barry. That's no problem. What's up?"
"I was wondering if you'd like to meet me for breakfast? If we're going to work closely everyday, it'd be nice to get to know you better"
"Sounds great Barry"
Barry gave me the time he'd pick me up before hanging up. I was excited and nervous. Barry seems so nice, but this would be my first time truly alone with him.

I took the dogs outside so they could get some air and do their business before I would head out to meet Barry. Brent came out as we walked around the hotel.
"Did you want to head out early and get something to eat?" He asked as he approached me.
"Sorry, Barry is picking me up in a few to get breakfast" I said as he bent down to pet Blu.
"Oh hope you two have fun" he said with a wink. I rolled my eyes but laughed.
"You want to take these two with you?" I asked. Brent agreed and took the leashes. "Be good for uncle Brent" I said as he lead them to his car. Brent just laughed and said goodbye.

I sat outside on the bench until Barry arrived.
"Sorry to keep you waiting" he said as I got in the car.
"Don't worry. I went out early with the pups and just didn't want to go back in. Brent took them to the studio with him"
"Pretty cool you can trust him with them" he said as we pulled out of the parking lot.
"Oh yeah. We've been friends since we were real little" I laughed.
"I'd love to hear more about that" he said. I smiled at him and he gave me a sweet smile back. This was going to be nice
