Blu and Moose took their time this morning on our walk.
"Come on boys, you know uncle Brent won't be happy if you make us late" I whined. They eventually did their business and I rushed back to the hotel to meet up with Brent.

" 'bout time" Brent said as we approached him waiting outside his car.
"Sorry, these two took their sweet time this morning" I said. Brent smiled at the pups and nodded before getting in his car. I put the dogs in the backseat before joining him up front. Brent smiled and started the car, and we headed out towards the studio.

"Hey, mind if we stop at that corner store over there?" Brent asked. I shook my head no and he pulled into the parking lot. "Can you run in and grab me a green tea?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'll be quick" I said. I got out of the car and headed into the store.

I went straight to the drinks and picked up Brent's green tea. I grabbed myself a bottle of water and headed to the counter to check out.
"Is that all?" The lady asked. I nodded and chatted with her for a bit as I paid with my card. "Have a nice day" She said with a smile.
"You too" I replied before grabbing the two drinks and heading out.

I walked out into the parking lot and looked around.
"Shit"
Brent was gone. He just left me here. I put the drinks on the ground and reached into my pocket. Fuck, I left my phone in Brent's car. I picked the drinks back up and thought of what to do. I didn't want to go back inside and worry that nice lady, so I guess I was walking. All I knew was once I got to the studio, I was going to give Brent hell

I made my way down the road, praying I was going in the right direction. Eventually, a car pulled up next to me. I got nervous and stepped back, until the window went down. Barry leaned towards me with a worried look on his face.
"You okay?" He asked. I nodded and walked closer to his car.
"Yeah, Brent left me behind at a store and I left my phone in his car, so I decided to walk" I explained,
"Brent told me you walked to the store and he became worried when he saw you didn't have your phone" Barry said. I rolled my eyes. Of course he would lie.
"I think he has something planned, I just don't know what it is" I mumbled.
"Well, wanna get in the car? Or do you wanna keep walking?" Barry asked. I sighed and thanked him before opening the car door and stepping in.

I was pretty quiet during the car ride as I was feeling angry. I still couldn't believe Brent left me like that, while taking my dogs.
"Hey, you okay?" Barry suddenly asked.
"Yeah, just thinking" I mumbled.
"You know, Brent was kinda a dick for leaving you behind" 
"Yeah, I'm pretty pissed about it" I grumbled ,crossing my arms and looking out the window.
"Has he done anything like this before?" He asked with curiosity.
"When we were teens, and he always had some dumb reason"
"Like what?"
" 'Oh, sorry Riley, I had to meet up with my girlfriend', or 'It's so nice out I thought you'd enjoy the walk' or even this one time it was to trick me into hanging out with some guy..." I trailed off, as I had realized what Brent's intentions were. Oh I was so getting him back for this.
"You think there's a reason he asked me to pick you up then?" Barry asked, sounding a little nervous suddenly.
"Yeah I do" I said, not looking at Barry. There was a long moment of silence, making me a little uncomfortable.

It wasn't long before we got to the studio. I was still pretty unhappy as we made our way inside. everyone was hanging out in the lobby, waiting on us.
"Hey, you found her" Brent said with a smile. I growled and grabbed his arm, pulling him into a side room to talk alone. He was still smiling, but his smile went away as he saw how unhappy I was.
"We aren't kids anymore Brent, what were you thinking?" I asked, crossing my arms and frowning.
"What? You two weren't getting anywhere on your own, so I wanted to get you two alone" He mumbled, looking at me as if I was the one who did something wrong.
"Your plan was stupid Brent. What if Barry couldn't find me? What if someone else found me first?" I tried hard not to raise my voice as I didn't want to worry the others, but I was mad.
"But he did find you, and I'm sure you guys got to spend some time together on the way here" He grumbled.
"Yeah, and that time was spent talking about how much of an idiot you are" I growled before walking out of the room. Sometimes I can't stand him.

I looked for my pups, who were hanging out with Eric.
"Thanks for watching them" I told him as they ran to me.
"No problem, they're good" He said. I smiled and had the pups follow me to Barry. They sat nearby and watched as I helped him set up his drum kit. Blu ended up laying down while Moose laid next to him, patiently waiting for their next walk.

"Hey, you okay? You're kinda quiet" Barry said as he sat behind his kit.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I mumbled. I took a seat next to Blu and Moose jumped into my lap.
"You still mad at Brent?" He asked. "Can't blame you"
"Yeah, I am" I mumbled.
"I'm mad at him too. He had no right leaving you like that" he said with slight anger in his voice.
"It's fine"
"No it's not. You don't deserve that"
"Thanks Barry"
I look up to see Barry smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile back. He blushed and cleared his throat before focusing again on the drums in front of him.

"Hey Riley?" 
I looked up and saw Brent enter the room. 
"What is it?" I asked coldly, folding my arms over my chest. Moose could sense I was feeling tense and growled a little. 
"Look, you were right to get mad at me, and you had every right to tell me. I'm just lucky you didn't start throwing punches" Brent chuckled that last part but was clearly upset. "I just wanted to help, but I realized I took things too far" 
"Thanks Brent. I really appreciate it" I said, smiling slightly as I looked towards him. I could tell he was really sorry, and besides, how could I not forgive my best friend. 
"So, is it true? You did that so I could 'rescue' her?" Barry asked. Brent nodded sadly making Barry laugh. 
"Brent, I know you want to play matchmaker, but I think you're just making things weird" I said with a small laugh. 
"You're probably right. I'll let you two get back to work now" He said, still sounding sad. 
"Hey" I called out, stopping him before he left the room. "Thanks for looking out for me"
"Always" He said, his voice warm before he finally stepped out. 

"So, Brent really wants to see us together?" Barry asked. I blushed a bit at his smile and nodded. 
"Yeah, he thinks we should at least do one date" I said with a quiet voice, nervous of what Barry would think. 
"Well, why don't we? It might be fun" 
I was surprised by Barry's enthusiasm with his idea.  After all, we just met and Brent's been pushing us together since day one. 
"You don't think that'd be weird? So soon?" I asked. 
"Not really, but if you're uncomfortable..."
"No! I just wasn't sure how you'd feel"
"Great, then what about tonight?"
