The Bet

Walking back to Cerulean, Ahkula smiles. She sits on a chair her arms crossed, but smiles back when she sees him. Standing, she lowers her arms as Ahkula walks closer. He leans down and kisses her lips, and she gives a small giggle. "Welcome back."

"Nothing exciting happened while I was gone, did it?" Ahkula smiles.

"No," She spots Blake. "Who's he?"

"Our shooter." Ahkula replies. "He and I have a bet."

"Oh?" She chuckles. "What about?"

"If he can get you to kiss him, I have to go and help his brother." Ahkula nods. "If he loses, he joins us."

She turns to him quickly and glares, "And when did I agree to this?"

"Trust me," Ahkula sighs. "he wouldn't have left if I had just said no. Besides, this is the legendary marksman known as Blake Masters. Ahkita could use another rifle to help her."

"Hmph," She crosses her arms. "Too bad for his brother then. I'm not putting my lips anywhere near his.... I'd rather eat sand."

Ahkula nods, "he is certainly confident. Gave himself three days."

"Only three days?" Cerulean asks. "He's either desperate or just plain stupid."

"My guess is desperate." Ahkula nods.

"I'm right here you know!" Blake calls to them. He was only a few feet away from the two.

"Ahkula, I hope you know what your doing. But if I get annoyed with him. I'm killing him." Cerulean growls towards Blake.

Blake gives a warm and charming smile. "Don't worry my dear. You'll come around eventually."

Cerulean, gives a smirk and then walks over to him, "All you need is a kiss?"

Blake nods, "A kiss would be nice. But the desert can get very lonely. Maybe you can help this lonely heart."

"ooh such words are like an incubus' call." Cerulean steps up next to him. "How could I ever say no?"

Blake looks to Ahkula giving a wolfish grin and a victorious stare, Ahkula only smirks.

Blake starts to lean forward to kiss her, Cerulean waits a bit, then slams her head into his mouth knocking him onto the ground, as he lands, she pulls out her pistol and glares down to him.

"I'm only going to say this once." Cerulean growls. "Try to tempt me, and you'll only piss me off. And the last thing that pissed me off, paid for it with their life. I don't know you, I don't like you, and I don't care about your brother. And if I had my way. You'd be dead for trying to do something as stupid as that. But that's not my call to make."

Blake looks up his nose and lip bleed slightly, "And who's call is it?"

Cerulean holsters her weapon, and walks over to Ahkula and places a hand on his chest as she leans against him. "My hubby makes that call."

"Hubby?!" Blake calls surprised. He realizes he just signed away his life for a bet he already lost.

"Indeed," Cerulean smirks. Ahkula gives a soft grin.

"Cerulean, get everyone in a room together, I think we need to inform them of what is going on with this hunt, see if they have anymore ideas where to search."

"Indeed. We've stalled long enough." She walks away from him. Once she shuts the door to the home, Ahkula looks to the man.

"I don't have time to help you, but there might be one inside who can." he nods to Blake, "ask them, and they might be able to help you."

He walks away inside chuckling, Blake follows and sees Cerulean and Ahkula walk towards a room, she opens the door when Kyaru walks forward to them and Ahkita. They talk for a moment then Kyaru nods, and turns to look at Blake. Ahkita does as well. Ahkula and Cerulean walk in and shut the door behind each other. Blake walks over to Kyaru, then spots Ahkita and gawks.

"Your the one who questioned me in that town, a few weeks back!" he speaks to her.

Ahkita looks him over and then laughs. "I see. So you're joining us, are you?"

"Erm... not really." Blake sighs. "I only want to help my brother."

"In regards to that," Kyaru speaks. "Things are starting to move rather quickly, so I'm afraid that unless it's on the way to our destination. We can't help you."

Blake glares to them, "Are you telling me that you don't have time to help me save my brother? What kind of people are you?"

"I know how you feel, but I'm afraid that we are running low on time. We have harvesters hunting us, and the longer we take to complete our goal, the more out numbered we will become." Kyaru replies.

"Know how I feel?" Blake glares to him. "Don't act empathetic. You have no idea what it's like to fight time to save your cibling."

"No..." Kyaru nods, "I know worse."

"Is that so?" Blake growls.

Martha then comes down and looks to each of them. Spotting her Ahkita smiles, "they already went into the room, we'll be there soon."

Martha smiles and walks on. "Thank you, Ahkita. See you in there."

Blake, and Kyaru watch her walk to the door and then disappear behind it as it closes. Looking back, Kyaru notices Blakes stare. "Pretty isn't she?"

"Yes," Blake nods.

"Would you believe me if I said, that not even a month ago she was bed ridden with a terminal illness." Kyaru continues.

"Really?" Blake turns back to him. "But she seems so full of life."

"That is my sister, since I was just entering my teenage years, she was diagnosed with a disease the doctors didn't even have a name for, let alone a cure." Kyaru nods. "I had to steal to pay off the constant doctors fees and keep the house over our heads. Because she wasn't able to do it. And it was becoming a struggle to keep trying. I knew she wasn't going to last the rest of this year. But I did to make sure she died happy, and comfortably."

"You speak as if she has been cured." Blake asks.

"She was." Kyaru nods. "By the very man that you have been tracking, and shot."

"But he doesn't seem like a doctor." Blake continues. "How did he cure her?"

"That will be revealed if we know we can trust you. But for now, we have to go." Kyaru nods and turns away, "I'm very sorry about your brother."

"Wait." Blake calls.

Both look back to him, "yes?"

"If I win a bet we have made." Blake asks. "Do you think he can help me save my brother?"

Kyaru gives a slight smile and nods, "He's always been a man of his word. So I would say yes, he would honor your agreement."

"Then I shall win." Blake nods, "I have to."

The next few days start to pass, their plans were cut short when Lindsey and Marcus came to a conclusion on some knew autogear ideas for both Kyaru and Ahkula. It would take several days to maybe a week.

Ahkula sits at a table as he smokes, his mind lost as to what the Mother was planning for him, if she captured him. Could he break free if he was... and what would happen to the others. His thoughts are cut short as Cerulean turns him towards her.

"Help his brother." She growls, her anger is evident.

"What?" Ahkula asks.

"Help that idiots brother." She repeats. "I can't take it anymore. He won't leave me alone, begging for a kiss just to help him win, to even hiding behind corners trying to surprise me by running into him for a kiss. I can't take it! Either help his brother, or I'm killing him!"

Ahkula sighs and then nods, "fine, I guess we have the time to spare."

Kyaru looks from the window he's sitting next to. "So does this means he wins the bet?"

Ahkula smirks. "Not quite. He never got his kiss. So he lost, however. I feel generous enough to show pity."

Kyaru stands and walks over, "Since we did have time to spare. Ahkita and I took the liberty to scout the location just incase you decided to help him. The gang has basically over run an old military base and set up home there. The job would be easier if you had someone come with besides him."

Cerulean looks to Kyaru and smirks, "ooh. Someone wants to go out for some fun."

Kyaru chuckles, "I have skills and means to help us get in and cause disorder, but I didn't have the intention on just going alone. I want Ahkita to come with."

Cerlulean looks to Ahkula, "Having them work together could help synchronize them into a better team."

"Agreed," Ahkula nods, "alright, having to marksmen could really come in handy."

"Once we get there Ahkula, we will tell you everything we know about the complex." Kyaru nods, "thank you for having us come with you."

Ahkula stands and looks to Cerulean, "Are you coming?"

She shakes her head, "not this time, my love. Four of you should be more than enough."

Ahkula nods, and she then smirks. "But don't think your getting away from me with out saying a proper good bye." She kisses him.

Once their lips part, Ahkula smirks  then turns to Kyaru, "get the other two ready, we'll leave immediately."
