Repairs
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR ARM?!" Kira's shout is loud enough to startle birds in a nearby tree.
Ahkula looks to the old man and shakes his head, "A round exploded in my shoulder, tearing my arm apart."
He and Kyaru stand in front of Kira.
"And you young and immortal," Kira glares at Kyaru, "I told you to take it easy and be careful of your autogear! And now here you are chewed up!"
"It was either that or let someone else take the hits for me," He growls back. "I chose myself. If that's too much of a problem old geezer, then you can shove it up your ass."
Kira slams a wrench into Kyaru's side, then tries to hit Ahkula. Ahkula, however, catches it with his other hand. As more blood seems to pour from a cloth bandage.
"I can barely breathe old man, let alone stand," Ahkula growls. "Beat me later if you wish, but I'm trying to stop my self from dying here."
Kira growls and shakes his head, "Then come with me, let's get you dealt with first."
Turning and walking away, he turns to Cerulean, "Your coming too?"
"Of course," She nods following, "Someone has to make sure you both don't kill each other."
They walk into the room and then shut the door, Kyaru growls sitting down against the wall, the blood smears slightly from his clothing onto the wall. Ahkita sees this and kneels down to him.
"Let me help you," she coos as she reaches for a medical kit.
Mishi looks to the arm left on the table from Akhula, rage filled her. "Who would dare harm him? I'll rip their arms off and beat who ever it was with them until they die!"
"Mishi," Ahkita snaps back to her. Mishi jumps a bit scared by Ahkita's sudden anger. Ahkita sighs and continues. "Your anger isn't helping anything."
Mishi looks to her then to Kyaru who only looks to her and then looks away. Mishi sighs and nods "I know... I'm sorry."
"Please get water and a towel. I need to clean his wounds." Ahkita requests, turning back to Kyaru as she start to help remove his sweater and shirt.
Mishi walks to the kitchen and collects water as she comes out, and sees Martha next to Kyaru and Ahkita. Tears stream her face with worry about Kyaru. Mishi sets down the bowl and rag down and walks to check on Ahkula. As she opens the door, she sees the doctor pull out Ahkula's lungs, the metal that striped the flesh has wires connected to it all. He then starts to work on them, as Cerulean puts in a set of temporary lungs, both of their hands are bloody. Mishi then shuts the door and walks back to her room.
"It's not fair, they get to risk their lives, and that's supposed to me my job. Not guard duty." She groans. "Next time, I'm just going to go with the prince, it is my duty appointed by Velmir."
"Cerulean, keep those working please." Kira says as he tryies to repair them. The flesh could heal but the mechanical issues were many.
"I'm doing what I can," Cerulean sighs, "I didn't think I'd get a crash course through the advanced lessons."
"Well I didn't think that this idiot would be so stupid as to loose his arm." Kira growls.
"Shut the sogra up doc!" Ahkula growls to him. "I didn't have the chance to dodge!"
"You need to be better you idiot!" Kira screams back.
"Both of you!" Cerulean yells over them both. Turning to her, both are kept in silence as they wait for her to speak, "Kira, we have work to do. We can't do it with you arguing with him. Ahkula, darling, I love you. But shut the fuck up."
Nodding, Kira turns back to his work. Ahkula looks away frustrated and shakes his head.
Hours pass as his new arm is attached, Ahkula hasn't stopped being in silence, despite their attempts to talk to him. Cerulean looks to him, worried something was said to upset him beyond his breaking point. Did he even have a breaking point? He was never that angry.. never so enraged to just be silent. It sends a chill down her spine as Kira just gets up and stands aside. Standing up he walks out and then spots his arm. His eyes fall behind his bangs as they lower to cover them. Ahkita, Kyaru, Martha and Mishi look to him concerned. Kyaru gets up and walks over quietly, reaching for the arm.
"Leave it." Ahkula quickly says in a dark tone. The room felt like the air had turned to ice. The chill from his words were frightening.
Backing away from the arm, Kyaru nods to them and they leave the room quietly as they leave Ahkula there with his thoughts in a deathly silence.
