Cherished One

Star glares at Cerulean, hatred and rage flaming in her stare. "Your man? Don't make me laugh!"

Walking over to Ahkula's side, Cerulean smirks, "I feel as if the only one laughing is me. You had to change into a lustful appearance, all to just try and win him from me. And he still chose me over you."

"His mind is blinded!" She snaps back to Cerulean. "If he only knew how many he could have, the power he could claim! Do you think he would stay with you?"

"And you think you could convince him other wise?" Cerulean laughs. "Over my dead body."

Star's eyes flash with insanity as she manifests a large machete from the ink. "That's a great idea!"

Cerulean takes aim as Star starts to move towards her, she then starts move beyond what her eye can see. A gun fires as steel stabs into flesh. Both sneer but then look horrified as they spot who now stood in between them both.

Ahkula glares down Star, her machete now in his abdomen. The bullet Cerulean fired, hit him in the back of his shoulder.

"AH! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Star screams.

"Do you really think, I'm just going to sit back and watch this fight take place." He growls. He looks back to Cerulean. "And you, the harvesters have had their powers increase. Star would kill you before your next shot."

"So you just want me to let them take you?" Cerulean snarls. "Not going to happen!"

He sighs, "you are about as stubborn as I am. We fought together once against them. If we need to, we can do it again. But you can't fight her on your own."

Star starts to laugh, "then I guess it's a good thing you forgot the one rule we Harvesters have."

His eyes widen as a glint shines off to the left, as he turns to look at it, a loud crack comes from the hillside, a large plume of smoke covers the view. He shoves Cerulean back with his normal arm. The round hits him in the elbow shattering the joint, it then immediately turns and flies through his shoulder, breaking the bones in it, the shell then explodes the force tears muscle and flesh apart. His arm lands in front of Cerulean. He looks to the smoke as his shoulder bleeds heavily the splatter from the explosion flecked onto his face. Removing his coat and hat, Ahkula tosses them to the ground. His eyes show a chaotic desire for the beings blood. His auto gear arm glistening in the last moments of the sun.

"You're not supposed to kill him!" Star yells at the hills where the shot came from.

In an instant a man appears, darkened hair with a mask over his mouth. His eye are red, but look slightly mechanical. The rifle in his hand looks to be normal. Bolt action, wooden furniture, barrel and components. His clothing, is some sort of cloak, with no hood but  covers his torso, his darkened pants, move little since they seemed to be tightened to fit against him. Possibly to keep from making too much noise or movement.

"I only wounded him," his light monotone voice calls back Star. "The mother wants him alive. She never said he wasn't to be harmed."

Cerulean looks to him, then notices the rifle doesn't have a scope. She then sees a light in his eye circle around, as if zooming into focus on Ahkula.

Ahkula sneers as he walks forward, "I see. So I guess I have no choice but to fight both of you."

"Please just surrender, Prince Ahkula." the man turns to him. "You are heavily wounded, more conflict would result in your death. Even if you do defeat us, the blood your losing now would only increase five fold, estimated, and if you fought us, regardless of who wins, you'd bleed out before you ever got close to your destination or ours. The mother has requested you be brought back alive."

"I appreciate the concern." He chuckles, but he pulls out the Judgment and aims to the new one. "But you should have thought of that before you pulled the trigger."

The man nods, and then disappears once more. As Ahkula looks around, he sees that the cliffs around him start to light up with smoke clouds, as the bullets rain at him, running, Ahkula fires at the man, each time he lands he seems to be gone the instant after. Hitting him being nearly impossible, only made worse by smoke traveling down into the area.

Through the gunfire, Ahkula hears a clash. Turning to see if Cerulean is alright. The hailstorm of bullets catch him, he only has seconds to make the ink in him harden around his bones, but the bullets continue to rip through him.

The bullets stop, for a moment.

"Sharps! Sharps" star calls. "Is it over?"

Stepping down, Sharps walks to Ahkula. He searches through the smoke his eyes sending data to his mind. Curious as to where a body is. Until several clicks sound from behind him.

"Not bad, I take it your speed has been upgraded as well. Plus the eyes, "spotters" am I right?" Ahkula sneers from behind him.

Sharps' eyes widen with terror. "How are you still able to fight?!"

"That's the beauty of being me." He grins. "I have no use of that word."

A sword separates them and Sharps begins his run again, as Ahkula looks to see Star smiling to him, "hello lovely."

Smirking, he starts to raise his gun, when more bullets come down from Sharps, having to turn his back he blocks the rounds with his Autogear. Star starts to charge with her blade, until Cerulean jumps in front of him firing at her. Forcing her to retreat.

Ahkula looks back to Cerulean as she does to him. Both nod and get ready for a fight once more. Back to back they look around. More bullets come down, aiming the Judgement, Ahkula glares towards Sharp's pattern. But Ahkula pays no mind. He has to hit this shot. Taking aim, he fires. The thunder from the weapon, the shockwave of the  blast. Deafens the area and makes the smoke clear away from the barrel of the gun. The round strikes home. As Sharps eyes widen, in terror. The round pierces his chest, slamming him into the cliff side, after a moment. He starts to fall.

Turning back to see Cerulean and Star clashing blades, he takes aim once more. Star sees this, then catches Sharps' body fall to the ground. A grin appearing on her face, she disappears once more.

Both looking around, Ahkula moves forward to make sure Sharps is dead.

"You should have stayed by her," A voice whispers in his ear. Turning around she sees Star holding the wraith soul of her fallen comrade. She then sneers. "I didn't want to do this. But you leave me no choice."

He stares to her as she devours the soul. Starting to cackle she looks to her hands as her powers cover her. Her body starts to change more, here eyes were the same as sharps. His rifle manifests in her hands, as she looks to Ahkula with a more seductive look than before. "Beg for me."

He glares to her and then smirks, "and why the hell would I do that?"

Firing the round, she then teleports behind him, reappearing before the bullet hits, she stabs him in the back with the blade she carries. Only to have it shatter in him once the bullet hits it.

Blood stains the ground as the whole it makes pours blood. Bits of the blade pierce out of him. He only continues to chuckle. "Going to kill me?"

"Oh no. Then how could I make you beg for my affection?" She giggles. "However I will make you suffer."

She jabs her hand into his chest and feels the Auto gear. "That explains so much!"

Ahkula's eyes widen with horror as she starts to rip the vital machinery apart. The blood pouring from him starts to drip from his lip as he coughs, chokes, and gasps for air.

"Ahkula!" Cerulean shouts. Growling she grabs an automatic rifle from one of the corpses. "YOU BITCH!"

As Cerulean opens fire, Star turns him to her so the bullets impale him as she digs her other hand into his chest as well. Glaring down at her one eye shut, pain flowing through him, Ahkula clenches his teeth.

"Beg for me!" Star smirks to him. He only struggles to keep his breath, hard to do when Star starts to squeeze his lungs forcing air out of them.

"You're coming back with-" Star begins.

A large gun fires forcing Star to drop Ahkula onto the ground gasping for breath, his lungs sparking, not seeming to want work.

Star looks to see Cerulean glare to her, holding Sharps' rifle. "Burn in hell you bitch."

The rifle opens up as the round belch out of the barrel and towards Star, before she can move, they hit her. Her chest, stomach, arms, legs. All start to erupt blood as lead displaces it while tearing through her flesh.

Star regains herself and tries to puncture her blade through Cerulean, until another shot shatters the blade.

"NO!" Star looks in terror, she looks to her left to see Ahkita there her rifle smoking.

"Catch!" Another voice calls.

Looking to see Kyaru next to Ahkula's body, Star hears metal crashing against something, and looks back Cerulean. Now holding the Judgment. Terror strikes Star's eyes as the thunderous round pierces the air and slams into Star. She lands on the ground and then starts to smile.

"I need to get out of here with him," she chuckles to herself. Trying to stand, Cerulean tries to take another shot, but the click she hears only implies the gun is empty. Star stands and walks to Ahkula's. She bats Kyaru away from him, "get lost."

He lands, but he doesn't try to return to his side. He watches.

As she looks down to him, she gets an image in her mind. The mother sitting on her throne smirking to her. "You've done well. Bring him home."

Looking to this image, Star smiles, 'why do I get the feeling I failed in my task. And once I return him to you, it will be my last time on this world.'

"Sadly I cannot repair you my dear, it would be better to just put you out of your misery." the mother sighs looking sympathetic, but her stare only seems to show a hidden truth behind the lie. Star smiles.

'You never planned on me living through this.' Star thinks to the vision. 'I finally figured you out.'

"What are you talking about," The mother asks. "Bring him home!"

'No, I think I'm done being your toy.' star smiles. 'If this is my last moment on this planet. Then I won't let you have your fun, only for your selfish gains. Each soul came to you for help, and Ahkula is right. You only damn them to serve you.'

"You will bring him here or die!" The mother shouts.

'Burn in hell woman. Those were my friends you left to die in a slaughter.' Star smiles. Tears of blood stream down her cheek. She then looks to Ahkula, unconscious from the blood loss. Crawling to him she feels as if her life is draining faster than should be.

"She seems to favor you," She smiles to him. "Give her hell for me Ahkula."

Leaning down she kisses him, Cerulean starts to charge forward until Kyaru stops her. A buldge came up into Star's throat and through her mouth, a black light of some sort. It then went down into Ahkula's. Waking he could feel power returning and doubling in strength. Then realizes what Star is doing. She pulls away and looks down to him smiling, "I knew you were great at that."

She laughs as her body starts to lose life. And lies there on the dirt. Ahkula stands up, Cerulean rushing towards him. He stares down at Star's corpse. His eyes never glare in hatred, but sympathy that it came to her death to realize they were all puppets for the mother's game.

"What did she do to you?" Cerulean asks. "Are you okay?"

"She gave me the wraith soul of herself and the man known as Sharps. Granting me their powers..." He shakes his head. "Guess she felt this was the last chance she could ruin the Mother's day."

"Are you alright?" Cerulean asks.

"I can't breath very well..." He looks to her, then to his arm on the ground. "Kira is going to kill me."
