Auto Gear
"Boyd!"
Martha screamed as she rose from the ground rushing to see to her brother. Ahkula and Cerulean look to her as she places her hand on Boyd's chest then pulls it back quickly looking to the blood stain on her palm. Tears are starting to fill her eyes. "What happened?"
Ahkula shakes his head, "I don't know... I wasn't able to get to him in time to prevent these wounds... just his death."
"So, he's alive?" Martha asks, "Let me take him."
Ahkula again shakes his head, "he is just barely alive. Please, I know you want to help him but shifting him more than necessary will only cause him to bleed to death faster."
"Can't you heal him?" She asks once more.
Again, Ahkula shakes his head regretfully. "No... His bones are probably shattered. And his organs are wrecked. This is beyond my capabilities."
Seeing Martha about to tear up once more, Ahkula continues, "I know of a man who can possibly help."
Martha glances back up to him as he continues, "the man is known as the Steel Doctor. He can possibly replace some of the damage done to Boyd."
She looks to Boyd, "How far..."
Ahkula sighs "about three days."
"Three days? But he may not last that long!" Martha cries.
Ahkula nods, "I know... but it's the best chance we got. And he's lasted this long."
He starts to walk past, until Cerulean asks what most are thinking, "how do you know of this man? How do you know what he can do and what he is called?"
"Don't worry about that just yet... let's me just give him a spot to rest." Ahkula calls back to her.
However she already has suspicions, of what he is hiding.
Placing Boyd down on a bed, Ahkita looks to the wounds and starts to tear open his shirt grabbing cloth bandages as she starts to cover the blood. And hopefully stopping the risk of him dying too soon.
Mishi looks to this and smiles, Ahkita looks down upon Boyd. One thief looking to another, she felt a kindred spirit within this boy. Admiration was in her eyes. Once she's finished she looks to Ahkula, then sees the wounds he suffered. "My prince."
"I'm fine," He responds. Ahkula stares onward from their little camp they made. "I can last much longer than he can."
Cerulean walks to his side and looks to his wounds. But from under the coat she sees a small glint from his shoulder, and even more from the lower side of his neck. But he looks to her, moving his head to where the scarf lowers covering what she trying to catch a closer look at what ever she was seeing. Then she looks to his eyes. "Why haven't your wound's healed? Most revenants would heal pretty quickly after a battle. But... yours are still visible."
"I'm starting to find it really interesting how you know so much about the curse." Ahkula glares to her, "care to explain?"
Cerulean smirks and then kisses his cheek, "books are wonderful objects, my love. They are brimming knowledge about many topics and subjects."
He chuckles, "Your hiding something."
"Just remember me a few days ago and you've already learned how to read me?" She smiles, "I better be careful. You might figure out all my dirty little secrets," She then leans closer and whispers, "and all my dirty little fantasies, my love."
He looks away and then continues, "My wounds don't heal the same, because I am still one with living flesh. If I was only a spirit, like the rest of my kind, I would be completely taken by the ink, you see. I would have no solid body, the healing process takes longer and if some wounds are severe enough, I will need medical examination and even treatment."
She spots the glimmer once more, and then looks back up to him. "Is that why you know of this doctor?"
He turns back to her, "yes... I may not be able to recover like my brethren. However... mortal wounds for a normal person, will not be as mortally severe for me."
She nods and then looks back to see Ahkita walk closer to them both. "Let me treat you, my prince. Please, take of your coat."
Ahkula's eyes widen a bit and then shakes his head as they regain composure. "No, thank you though. Please keep seeing to him. His life is more in jeopardy than mine is."
"There is nothing more I can do, the bleeding is blocked, and he is left to rest for a while, you are still bleeding, heavily." Ahkita bows. "Take off your coat my prince. It's my duty to keep you well."
Mishi starts to walk over as well, "We cannot take no for an answer."
Cerulean looks to them and then to him, "I'm going to make this clear, your getting that coat off one way or another."
He starts to back away, "I already told you-"
Cerulean smirks, "Get him!"
As one the three tackle him to the ground trying to keep him pinned as they move to take of his coat, "Get off of me!"
"Ahkita go for his left, I've got his right," Cerulean calls.
"I'll keep him pinned!" Mishi laughs as she holds down on his chest, while sitting on his lap. Soon the coat on the left side comes of fine, but Ahkula focuses his strength on trying to make sure the right one isn't removed. But soon the strain becomes too much and the coat slides off. The sun gleamed heavily onto a metal arm, wires were strewn to look like muscles. Over the hand to help keep it hidden was the glove he wears, black. The metal wasn't just for his arm, most of his left side and all the way up to his neck was metal plating as well, it seemed bolted into his skin and maybe even his bones. They all stare as the sleeveless shirt, a soft black cloth, was lifted up to see the metal runs all the way, down to the left side of his waist. Ceasing the struggle, he lies limp and looks off to his right.
Cerulean looks as if her theories were correct as the other two gasp in horror, Mishi asks. "What- what is that?"
"What does it look like?" He says in a dry tone. "It's an auto gear. A metal limb replacement."
Cerulean places her hand on the cold steel, the sight his head refusing to look to her. She feels bad for forcing him to reveal this, which he wasn't ready to share. Her hands moves down to his as she clenches it softly, this makes him turn his head to her. His eyes were not angry, they almost seem forgiving.
Ahkita looks to it then to Cerulean's hand and his. Smiling she starts to help lift his shirt, the glossy red smears on her hands as she sees the many injuries and bullet wounds. But as she starts to wipe the scarlet off of him to get bandages prepared, she notices more. Scares, areas that were stitched, some were crudely others precise and well administered. But to see physical evidence of all he has been through. Her eyes gloss over with a sight of regret. Mishi speaks in agreement. "We shouldn't have given up so easily."
Turning to them, he starts to sit up. "What is the matter?"
They both look away, "We were your assigned knights... and after your death. We just gave up... we never bothered considering,"
Ahkita is silenced when he places his finger on her lips, his eyes showed a lost gaze from when he saved her back then. "You are not responsible for this. The blame does not lie with you."
Her eyes widen as the familiar fire he had back then flares in his eyes now. She then smiles and nods, "Yes my prince. Thank you."
Turning to Mishi, he stares at her as well, "You too. What has happened was neither of your faults. You're here now and your task is now under your observation. That is what matters."
Mishi stares surprised and then leans forward hugging him, tears in her eyes. "Yes my prince!"
Cerulean, and Ahkita both join in embracing him as well. "We love you, our prince."
Cerulean was the only one who didn't say it, but her eyes met his, and showed her affection through her gaze.
Letting go Ahkita starts to bandage the wounds, Mishi goes to watch over both Martha and Boyd. Cerulean looked over his Auto Gear, what happened that forced him to abandon an arm and forced a repair to even most of his side? Did she even want to know? She isn't sure.
Ahkula looks to Martha who only seems to fixate on him, his arm, and side. "Is... that what Boyd will need."
Ahkula nods, so she asks another question. "Did it hurt?"
Hesitating a moment, Ahkula then nods once more. "It was excruciating."
She lets out a small sigh and then walks over to him, she leans down and kisses his cheek as she hugs him, "thank you for saving him."
Ahkula looks a bit stunned but then moves his arm around to hug her back as he speaks softly. "I won't allow him to die. He will live."
A gasp of surprise came from Martha, she then turns to Ahkita, who gives a nod as if to say 'he means it.'
Then she looks to Cerulean and she smiles as well. Martha's eyes close as tears come down her cheek once more, "thank you. For everything."
"It's not over yet... when tomorrow comes, we need to move towards the doctor's." Ahkula finishes.
