My training with Nova changed ever since his twin came. Knowing that there was another Revenant,who look almost exactly like Nova,except for his hair and the prosthetic limbs,made it difficult to distinguish who was who at times.

While things were difficult, and much harder now that Rey was there, fighting and training with Nova became a lot more lax.

Rey and Nova would spar a lot,most often when I was tired out, sitting on the side lines and taking a sip of my water skin or eating a sandwich during my breaks.

Rey didn't fight like Nova did. Where Nova fought aggressively, tanking and never backing down, Rey fought with far more agility than his elder brother. His weapon was a magnificent white and gold rapier,which unlike Nova's Nightmare, he kept in a holster just beside his hip. He focused on quick,precise attacks,targeting Nova's weak points whilst biding his time to strike.

While his elder brother was equally as deadly,directing his attacks at his brothers vital organs to try and end their spar as quickly as possible, their fighting styles often left neither winning,resulting in the two being exhausted,tired and panting.

I'd never seen Nova tired out before, and I'd seen him run the city outer walls for miles on end without breaking a sweat. Now,he was tired,exhausted, actually sweating, panting like a dog. It was the first time I'd seen someone stand toe to toe with Nova and not only hold him off,but force the match to a draw.

The two set their swords aside, approaching me.

"You did pretty good Nova." Rey said,giving Nova a quick pat on his back.

"I did alright."

"You're selling yourself short again big brother. You did great."

It was like seeing two different versions of the same person,but...different.

I can't even begin to explain what the twins were like to me. I saw Nova,who was always so dark and brooding, self harming and almost always angry, and his younger brother Rey,who was dripping with positivity, self love and happiness, who had a smile on his face for all the times I'd seen him over the past five days.

They spent all their time together. They ate together, trained together, bathed together. While it seemed to bother Nova, always appearing annoyed with his younger brother for following him around everywhere,Rey didn't seem to care too much. He spoke to Nova all the time,telling him tales of his several adventures he'd had along his travels. He regaled me sometimes with a few of his adventures, with my favorite being about a time where he met a slave girl who swindeled him for all of his gold. Now she was his fiancee. He even showed me a ring to prove it.

"Don't know when I'm gonna give it to her. Might be too soon. I don't want to rush things you know?"

"So,Emelenia...that's a really unique name."

"She's from Draconia."

"Wait...you're in love with-"

"A lizard girl yeah. She's still going through her pubescent days,so she isn't a fully grown dragon...yet. She's gettin there though."

"She fully matures into...a massive dragon?"

"Yeah? That sound weird?"

"No...I mean yeah...how do you...you know?"

"She can shift into a humanoid form,only thing that stays is her scales on certain parts of her body and her tail. Dragons would be hunted to extinction by humans if they couldn't blend in."

"So she was a slave? How'd you meet her?"

"Was walking through Draconia one day while I was searching for Nova. Turned out he wasn't in Draconia and I'd just blew all my coin on nothing. Wandered the market place for a bit,looking at wares with no money,till I found this human guy, on top of a stand,girl tied with a chained collar round her neck. All I needed to see was that beautiful flowing red hair and I was instantly taken away. I stole a few things from people, not my proudest moment since the Draconian's are actually really peaceful despite being...you know...dragons... So I buy the girl her freedom,I take her home,feed her, and as I wake up the next morning,I find all the things in my rented room gone, my fuckin rapier included!"

Rey lifted his rapier and placed it on his lap. "I love this rapier now because of that memory...dashing through the streets trying to find this stupid girl. Found her in an alleyway you know? Some bandits were trying to rob her. Couldn't just...let em, so I stepped in, killed them and took my rapier. Wasn't easy,since she was slashing with it for dear life. I took her home once she'd calmed down, fed her again, and she's never left my side since. A feisty girl though, always getting angry and fighting with everyone,but gets all sweet and soft when she's with me. We traveled everywhere,from Draconia, to Elysium, and now here to the Imperial City."

"So she's here?"

"Yeah,knowing her she's probably in the market right now,browsing,shopping. That or she's lazing at home doing nothing at all but sit and lounge around. Still,I come home and she's always happy to see me,so as long as she has a smile on her face,I'm fine with her doing whatever she wants."

Rey smiled,giggling to himself. "That woman...she's going to make me bankrupt."

Nova approached us, pulling Rey to his feet and helping me up as well.

"We sparring again?"

"Yeah. But I want both of you to come at me at the same time this time."

"Your call big brother." Rey said with a shrug.

He looked at me with a smile, drawing his rapier. "Come on Esk,let's teach Nova a lesson!"

His nearly overwhelming positivity fueled me,adrenaline pumping through my veins.

He's right...we can do this!
