Nova was out cold as he lay in my arms. We were wrapped warmly in my fur blankets. He shook in his sleep.

Sweat slowly trickled from his brow. It wasn't long until Nova screamt himself awake. I gently pulled him back down into the warmth of the bed and closed us both up again.

"Paulie..."

"Hey kiddo." I replied,running my hand through his hair.

His eyes went lower,looking down to his knee's. "Aren't you afraid?"

"Of what? You? You're a revenant Nova sure,but that don't change any of the memories we have together."

"But-"

"Will you still be the dark,mysterious badass that I've always known?" I asked,cutting Nova off.

He stopped for a few seconds before he spoke again. "Yeah...I guess..."

"Will you still put Maani and your team through vigorous and grueling training?"

"Probably..."

"Will you be a complete blunt,honest idiot to everyone like always?"

"I guess..."

"Then you haven't changed one bit. You're still my little brother in my eye's."

Nova's eye's slowly shifted away and I poked his forehead. "Don't worry. I'm never gonna leave you Nova. You're my dumb  little kid brother. I still care about you no matter what. I'll always be here,even if at the end, its just the two of us left standing together."

"Promise?"

I gave Nova a soft kiss on his forehead. "Promise."
